Everything went fine but just wasn't that when booking through Kayak that it goes to a different billing site not really happy that has to happen.

Such overreach in the documents you ask. For such a benign reason of booking tickets for a family member. Never had that with any other OTA.
Google Flights recommended it. Though I wouldn't recommend it forward due to the security theater in practice. Such an annoying process with so many emails exchanged.

Hi Olamide, thanks for choosing StudentUniverse. Usually you do not need to present your Student ID at the airport, but we would recommend bring a copy (or at least have a digital copy in phone) just in case. Have a great trip!

Hi Chandrika, sorry you felt that way. We ask for extra documents in order to provide our customers as well as the card holders. Since the passenger and the card holder are not the same person, we have to verify it is the card holder that authorizes the transaction.
