I had to rebook this flight due to a change in my original flight. It's my first time using Frontier Airlines so I don't feel off to a good start.

I am a graduate student at Tufts university Boston. I got an opportunity in Canada for my summer internship. I decided to travel to Canada in June through Grey hound bus and than come back to US through air. I heard about student universe from a friend and he told me that the tickets are really discounted for students. So before travelling to Canada i decided to purchase a round trip ticket(From Toronto to Boston and after one day back to Canada* because i had a commencement ceremony which i need to attend on 2 august 2019). So i purchased a ticket from student universe the ticket was 220$ and while check out there was a box which is usually there in all website that i agree to the terms. I checked that and payment was done.
When i reached in Canada i heard that my visa doesn't allow me to come back to Canada again after my presentation on the 2nd august. So it was not in my control, shortly on 16 June i called student universe told my situation and asked them to change my reservation. They told me that the changing fees is more than the ticket and you should buy a new ticket. As per suggestion i bought a new ticket around 118$ one way. Than i requested them to refund my ticket which i purchased earlier by spending 220$, they said they can refund because its the porter airline. I called porter airline and told my situation that i am informing you guys almost 45 prior to my travel that i have situation and i cant travel on these dates, they said its all agent concern not ours. So i called student universe by long conversations they have still the same answer no we cant reimburse your ticket, even i was agreed to get 50% of it back but they didn't paid me anything. This kind of behavior by agent is not even acceptable in war zones. They are using student name and doing a business. They just focus on making money no other motives. I spent 337 dollars total and from which 220$ is gone to waste. They know how students get this much money by working atleast 20 hours job in a week. Please keep away from them and i am planning to file a case against them so that next time they will not do this to others.

However, most of the tickets we sell are non-refundable, so we're unable to provide refunds in case of changes or cancellations. This would be noted in the terms of the ticket which you agreed to when you purchased initially. We thought this site was great, love student pricing and all. BUT when a problem comes up, it is clear that you are on your own and this company will not resolve it or is only going to resolve it for a list of fees - cute trick. The issue that occurred at the airport that caused the missed flight was resolved over the phone with the airline and they gave a green light to rebook at no cost (thank you KLM, you're the best), but the third party agency needed to call in, seems like a simple step… That was 9 hours ago. Divanni, who is 18 years old, was stranded for 11 hours in the airport waiting for 'an email' that has still never came, though updates were promised. There were two flights today that he could have been rebooked on. NO COMMUNICATION FROM SU. This is shockingly bad customer service, because flight cancellations and changes are obviously urgent situations, and airlines typically resolve it as quickly as possible. Student universe seems perfectly fine with stranding students, young adults, in precarious situations and trying to get more fees out of a desparate situation. We called at least five times because there were no emails or return calls. Called again this evening, and immediately after we see that the reservation has been deactivated and cannot be opened. Interesting. We are keeping documentation of all of this, and will work with KLM to report this to consumer protection authorities. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL ABANDON YOU WHEN ANYTHING GOES WRONG EVEN IF IT IS EASILY REPAIRABLE.

Hi Eva, sorry that this happened. We reviewed all the recordings and did follow the airline's guidance accordingly. It started with some baggage issue at the airport, which caused the passenger fail to check the bag and board the plane before the gate closed. The passenger was tagged as no-show by the airline. After being informed, our customer service reached out to the airline and was advised of rebooking per fare rules. We would like to work with the passenger to investigate the issue as we followed what was told by the airline. Thanks.
