I bought tickets in November. My ticket was confirmed, but my code for the actual airline site wasn't working. Since I was out of the country, I sent them 3 emails and none of the were answered. I finally was able to call them in January, to ask about my codes. They hung up on me 5 times before I was told that my card got declined and they were doubling the price of my ticket. I was not informed. All I got was my order confirmation. There was no reason for my card to get declined so I contacted the bank. The bank said no charges were attempted, and that it had to be on SU's end.

I got my ticket through the Amazon Prime $25 discount and I am very thankful 🙏 but if I had to speak on the website itself, I would say it lacks customization options such as price tracker, open date ranges to choose from if unsure about the day you want to travel, etc. Overall my experience was okay given that the line for the promo didn't tell you your place in line so it can be really frustrating. I had no idea the $25 flights were ongoing when I booked my flight, so there was a bit of trouble trying to secure my tickets. After booking my ticket, I tried looking up my info on the airline app, but nothing came up. I'm not sure how long it should take to process, but other than that, I can't complain, especially with the price I got!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. My flight was canceled just three hours before departure due to an error in their system that failed to process my payment—despite receiving full confirmation, including valid reference numbers. This was a clear failure on their part, yet I was left to deal with the consequences.
Upon arriving at the airport, I spent 45 minutes on hold trying to reach customer support. When I finally got through, the representative was unhelpful, unwilling to assist, and offered no resolution. Instead, they remained silent on the call, leaving me with no choice but to hang up in frustration.
This experience was completely unacceptable, and I cannot recommend their services. A company that operates with such poor systems and customer support fails to meet even the most basic standards of reliability and professionalism. I will not be using their services again.

Overall, I had good experience with StudentUniverse. I used them to be able to book a holiday deal, which I understand is going to have a high volume of people, but the way the queue worked was a bit confusing with not much information and then randomly getting put into picking your flight. I enjoyed being to see the flights beforehand and the structure of the website is very well, I would only say that the queue times are a bit weird. I would suggest having an estimated wait time or place in queue that you can visibly see. Overall, I got my flight and was very happy with my experience! Will be using more.

This might have been because this website never experiences this much traffic but the website didn't let me go anywhere else other than the waiting list for the "$25" flight tickets. I accidentally bought some travel insurance that didn't say it would cost anything and when I go to try to get a refund, I call them back for three days in a row and I can't get through the hold phone once. I've waiting on call for hours at a time.

I was able to easily use the website, but it lagged after each step. Some flight options that were available one-way were not available round trip, and the 24/7 phone number I called for support with this, gave me a "Welcome to Verizon Wireless" message.

It was very competitive! I chose the wrong returning flight due to moving too fast because we only have 15 minutes to purchase the ticket. When I finally got access the deal didn't apply and I was scared of going back in fear of losing my access. It costed $75 to correct my flight change.

The problem most people have is once they refresh the page they are put back in the waiting line. Just keep the page busy so they dont kick you out; looking at different flights until its time for the prices to drop.

This place had the single worst customer service I have ever received. I simply wanted to change a flight and I had to spam call, wait on hold for hours on end, reach out to my school for a better student universe contact, overall just a nightmare for the last couple weeks. I emailed twice and never heard back. When I finally got ahold of someone she was super rude to begin with, then charged me 665 dollars to change my flight. An extra 140 dollars for the "student universe services", yeah amazing service. I'm a student i'm not going to go out of my way to write reviews. Just be warned when you book with student universe.

I purchased a $25 flight ticket through Amazon and Student Universe, but they failed to issue the ticket. It took two hours for Student Universe staff to answer my call, only to tell me the flight was sold out. However, I checked the airline's official website just a minute before the call, and the flight I wanted was still available.
This is completely unacceptable and feels like a scam. They wasted my time and energy, and I ended up having to book a ticket elsewhere at a much higher price. To make matters worse, they didn't even send me an email notifying me that my ticket wasn't issued—I had to discover it on my own.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I wouldn't recommend Student Universe to anyone.

I was able to book my tickets as soon as I was let into the queue. I just wish they put how many people were ahead of me so I could know that the line was moving versus just see a page refresh every few seconds. I didn't have any glitches but was very happy that I was able to book my $25 flight :)

I am very grateful for the discount and ability to see my family during my winter. But the process of getting the tickets could've been set up better. I kept my page up for only two days and my girlfriend had hers on for the entire time the deal was offered and didn't make it in.

I was able to purchase my tickets, but I would have liked a date/price analysis so I could have easily compared dates to average prices to get the best deal without having to do a bunch of trial and error. Also if there is going to be this much traffic on the website you need to upgrade the servers, having a wait for a website in this day and age is crazy

Because of this, I was not able to access the cheapest flight, so I booked the second cheapest one. However, I did still get a great discount!

My experience with student universe was a little rocky at first but after being patient and leaving the website up overnight it was able to refresh better and allow me to get into the website with no problems!

We booked a trip during the time they had the 25$ amazon flights but every time we would try to reach the website it would give us a "waiting room" saying they sold out of the 25$ tickets. However, we were not on that website for that reason, we genuinely wanted to book a flight. We had to wait 15 minutes to be redirected to their website. There should be a way to bypass this because it was just inconvenient

Student Universe is TERRIBLE. The site breaks, you sit on hold for 3 hours for customer service priority when the flight is in 24 hours. They don't listen to you and my only saving grace was recording my 40 minute conversation when the representative kept doing things without my consent. They are scam service and not to be trusted.

This was not the first time I purchased the ticket from student universe. So I know which button to click to add travel insurance. I am sure I did. It add it but when I finalize the transaction they charge for insurance which is crazy. Then I contact them within five minutes I complete the order and ask them to can I revise it. They sail I have to pay 250 buck to cancel and redo it, which might an idiot agree. So thanks you and I will never buy a ticket from student universe

This crossover promotion between Amazon and Student Universe truly was a blessing to me and many other people. I am glad I was able to receive something from this. Improvements can be made so that this event can be better in the future. One of the biggest things is having a more structured system for people getting in line early. Waking up at 6am for something that doesn't open till 1pm is absurd. Especially when your tab/device can be reloaded at any instance. This cause people to lose spots in line and have to wait just to find out the site was sold out. Either moving up the opening time, of having a stable page that people who are already in can wait on would be much better than automatically loading people in and hoping they can stay on for the entire duration.
I am a student and believe that these discounts truly help people like me when it come to the holidays. Flights are extremely overpriced so getting back home is stressful.

With how busy the Amazon sales were it was just pure mania to figure out if I was able to get the tickets or not. I honestly hated this experience because the directions were so hard to follow. Had to rely on people's videos who actually got the tickets to see how to navigate through the experience. I'm just glad I was lucky.

It was little bit long for a wait line, but it was worth it. I would do it again, 100% if this deals comes every winter and summer break for college students.
But I have 1 slight problem with my account, I can log-in with same email and password on my desktop, but somehow the app has a problem with my log-in, and I don't want to change it just in case something goes wrong for my "upcoming trip". It would be convenience to use the app on the airport instead of my desktop. That would be deeply appreciated if someone can send me a feedback and fix it.
This is my first time using it, and by using the deals with amazon prime student, it was so much cheaper than any booking websites for travel.
