It's not about the cost, all airlines charge to reschedule.
They forgot to update my seat preference for which I PAID and insisted on particular seat. 16hrs flight travels are worst with the dumbest seat (middle seat): P
They don't care about their agent's mistake to CHARGE for seat but NOT RESERVE the seat.

I have a flight from LAX to Edinburgh Scotland. I land at London Heathrow and have 4 hours to completely change airports. It is not possible to land, get my checked bags, get through customs, get transportation, and somehow get to Gatwick, re-check in and get where I need to go all within 4 hours. It is an hour alone to even travel from one airport to the other if there is no traffic. I tried to call and send an email about my issues and the Student Universe hotline pretty much told me that it is a "valid" connection and that they can't be held responsible if something goes wrong... I tried to cancel my flight and they said that the airline charges nothing but they will charge $400 if I do... so I am stuck, traveling alone in another country for the first time and if EVERYTHING doesn't go exactly on schedule, then I will be stranded in a country I have never been to, all by myself... and when I explained this to Student Universe, they just told me that they aren't responsible for any of it.

Charged $62 for 2 seats when I made the order but later I received the receipt from the airline showing the seats are actually just $46 in total, where is the extra money I paid?

I booked a flight on Copa airlines through SU and after purchasing I was on the Copa website and saw they offer an Economy+ ticket that includes seat selection as well as one checked bag. The economy+ ticket would have saved me money but SU did not show me that as a potential option and so I booked the basic ticket and now have to pay for seat selection and my checked bag a la carte.
When I called SU to see if they could refund my ticket so I could purchase the ticket that is the better deal they told me they could not and I needed to contact Copa directly, which I did. Copa informed me that because they did not receive funds, SU did, that Copa could not do anything for me and I needed to call SU again. Im sure you can see my frustration here. Upon calling SU back they told me I would have to email - not call - someone else to manage this. Given that I only had 24 hours to cancel without penalty the idea of communicating through email seemed dicey.
I ended up sticking with the original ticket because it was not worth any more of my time and energy to rectify this, leaving me disappointed with the processes, the customer service and SU.
I like the way they lay out the different ticket options and they usually have the best deals.
