Awful experience customer service guy Jim is a jerk does not want to help anyone. Terrible experience would not recommend them to anyone.
I've been buying from Summit for several years and they just went beyond this time. I needed a full set of rockers and lifters ASAP! They came through with a GREAT price and FAST SERVICE! Thank you!

I placed an order for an item that showed in stock on the Summit website. To ensure the order was received, I called Summit and was informed that the item would ship from the manufacturer as Summit had no stock. I then personally contacted the manufacturer and learned that only two units were left.
Concerned about the low stock, I called Summit back to expedite my order, and they confirmed it would be processed the same day. However, days went by without receiving a tracking number. When I called and chatted with Summit, they could not provide an update. Upon contacting the manufacturer again, I discovered that Summit had not placed the order.
Summit claimed they had placed the order and were waiting for tracking. They also incorrectly stated that the manufacturer could not confirm orders without Summit's internal purchase order. Three days later, I received a cancellation email from Summit.
This experience was a complete waste of time. I placed the order directly with the manufacturer and promptly received a tracking number. Summit's customer service is a joke.
Main reason for review is summit will not post my review of the products I received from them. The other is the products themselves were low quality. I bought a set of 4 american racing torque thrust wheels from them and went through 9 of them before I was able to make a complete set of 4 that were not warped, wobbling when checked for radial and lateral runout. They ARE made in china and are machined poorly with obviously low quality control and inspection. I was jerked around a little with return procedures and labeling, but in the end, was able to put together a fair set of wheels, after a lot of aggravation.
Their Beat A Price Guarantee is a lie. They do anything to get out of it. I have spent thousands here over the years for them to not match, or beat by a penny, an identical item from a competitor by $25.

It took 2.5 weeks AFTER they called me saying "sorry it's already been 2 weeks, we don't have what you ordered". Then they sent the wrong part and never refunded the shipping or price difference like promised will not be using them again
Ordered and received 2 gallons of Urethane primer that could not be sprayed after adjusting the correct mixture with activator. Primer was probably too old. Emailed and called customer service, left my phone number, got one question emailed, and never heard from them again. Very! Disappointing.

I receive a shipment that was damaged, I know it was most likely not Summit's fault. However, they choose who they work with for shipping. Maybe choose better partners. Customer service offers no empathy or responsibility for any situation. Basic robot talk! The last trashy ghetto female I spoke to can take a long walk off a short pier. In the end, I lose time and money waiting around for the shipment due to Saia and Gills shipping, I don't get my part and have to wait even longer for my refund to buy my part elsewhere. Summit has been on a downward spiral with customer service and hope they can find a recovery strategy. I don't think they are worthy of being on the toolbox anymore. I will replace with Texas Speed and Performance!
Ordered a truck wheel from Summit on 06/19/23. After almost a month and no wheel, sent an email asking about shipping status. Summit's reply was the wheel would ship by 10/30/23. Three more months! Asked Summit to cancel the order and refund my payment. Now waiting for refund. Hope that doesn't take three months!

When I emailed a specialist for my engine rebuild, the response I got took 3 days. The reply was cold, short and offer no insight. The replies always took 2 days each plus they would only answer some of the questions asked, meaning I would have to wait 2 more days when I asked again. Currently my order label was created and awaiting pickup by the carrier for the last 5 days. So I'll have to wait 2 more days to get a reply. Calling took 45 minutes on the phone and was even less friendly.
Also, promo code did not work and by the time they replied it would have expired.

This is the first and last time in my life dealing with this business. I place my order paid the money. They said item is shipping same night. After two days I called them and ask about the status, saying itam is on hold. I was dealing with those ladies from customer service and wasted my time. This business is just $#*!. So Iam not recommend this business for any body. Please don't waste your time with this brainless people..
They say orders will be shipped by a probable date and never guarantee the date leaving the customer hanging out to dry. Then their practices and policies are so vague customer service can't handle the call or message volumes so no one responds to issues.
Delayed my order kept delaying expected ship date even though they took my money day one. In the end never shipped anything, still waiting for refund. Wasted time, spend a little more and avoid frustration, sometimes lowest price = lowest service...
Summit racing has a pretty big name in the car world, you would think as big as they are refunding your money for a damaged part wouldn't be an issue, guess again! Spent $63.48, got back $50.77...
Maybe since they told me to keep the damaged parts and box they figure were even? Do better people!
Been ordering parts from Summit for some time but now it seems they are to big to take care of small customers. Ordered a clutch kit for a 1956 ford fairlane and the clutch release bearing is to small which all come in a kit. I talked to a Roger person and only got back talk and no answer to my question only that he told me how long he worked for his company. Waited 4 days and still no answer, done with ordering parts from summit until they hire someone who searches for the part problem and not his life story. Their are better parts companies out there and looking at reviews helps some what.
Summit management is so substandard it's amazing they manage to stay in business. Summit believes they can do no wrong like refusing to replace damaged items, charging you for return shipping. Do Not purchase any automotive parts for Summit that are available on Amazon. Amazon makes good on any questionable or damaged item and allows you to ship it back free of charge and refunds your money right away.

They have product for sale that's supposed ship within 10 days or so. It took 6 MONTHS to get this! Then they lost it as soon as it was in their hands from the supplier. They had to have it shipped again from supplier and when I received it it was the wrong quantity of product! Are you kidding me? I won't even bother taking this further.
I'm an international buyer with Summit for years. Last couple of order I had problems with:
- the credit card being refused despite the card was confirmed to be ok by the bank.
- shipping: I paid for shipping and the import charges, VAT etc to be included in the payment. Upon receiving the package I had to pay it again. I sent several times an email to Summit to get my money for the import VAT etc back, but still no response.
Customer service used to respond very quickly but since 2019 their service has really declined. I will not order from them again despite having been a years long customer.
For years I did ALL of my purchasing for my passenger vehicles and my race track cars without doubting their staff, items and honesty. They would always be prompt with their responses to my questions, prompt shipping and when its states "in stock" it was in stock... But now I can no longer trust them with any of my purchases...
Sorry, but you lost a long and dedicated purchaser...

Ordered parts 6 months ago, 6 months goes by, I cancel my order and ask for a refund, and proceeded to purchase gears from another seller. They say "no, they JUST shipped, you will have them in a couple days," so after that, I cancel my other orders from the other places expecting the one from summit to arrive any day. Then today I get a refund from summit. No parts. My truck has been down, and losing money for six months, and Summit has provided terrible customer support. I get it, COVID messes up shipping, but this is BY FAR the worst experience I've had with a parts company. 100% wasted time. Do not recommend.
Placed an order on July 27. Ordered a tranny cooler and exhaust manifold gaskets. Received a damaged cooler and have yet to receive the exhaust manifold gaskets. Talked to 2 different customer service reps and got 0 help. Afraid if I send my bent cooler back it will come up missing with the rest of my order. Buy from Jegs or Speedway!
Do you guys not review your shippers (GLS), my next order will be cancelled if you use them to ship my parts again. 58 reviews, only 1 has 3 stars the rest is 1 Star, does that not tell you their incompetent. I've never seen a company as unorganized as GLS shipping, I can't believe that a company like Summit Racing would use a shipping company with reviews like that or are you just trying to lose Business.
Gave a 4 star review to a product, part of the comment of which was the great price. My review gets posted and the price immediately went up 35%! Is this a coincidental price increase from the (US) manufacturer to Summit, or do positive reviews incline them to raise the price on an item?
Also, their international shipping costs are too high and their invoicing on international orders is unclear- no breakdown of the shipping/handling/duty charges on the invoice, and equivalent size/weight packages from other US suppliers the shipping cost is less than half the amount Summit charges- using the same courier (Fedex) and level of service (ground).
Generally, except for the shipping charges, my experiences with Summit have been good, but the odd price jump immediately after I did a positive review on the product is disturbing and they need to work out a more economical shipping program with Fedex. As such, for the purposes of this last experience is lower than I might have otherwise given them, generally speaking.
