T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
I am still being charged for services that were cancelled approximately 1-month prior. When I asked why, they told me it had to go through next billing cycle. I asked if I was being charged a cancelation fee. They said no like other companies we don't charge. Well?
A phone I sent back was lost in transit, they kept charging. Great customer service over all. But the charges are ridiculous.

The service is awful. Just terrible. I mean Verizon wasn't great, but it did work great in a lot of areas. T Mobile is universally junk. Everywhere. Their only solution is to reset network connections. I am seriously trying to see if I have any recourse to get out of our contract. I am so mad I fell for their claims of "more bars in more places". Nope. Less bars and more places maybe. Makes me realize just because they throw a map out there showing all their coverage doesn't make it real. But again, can I get them for false advertising that way?
ETA…thankfully they don't do themselves any favors by not putting me in any sort of contract. So guess what? Bye bet T Mobile. Cause you suck.

Honestly screw these guys. How the hell can you say you have the best service? My wife didn't get any birthday texts throughout her entire day and that includes from me! She almost thought I was ignoring her texts. Makes me so sad. The day after her phone blew up with old texts and missed calls that couldn't come through because of poor service(we live in a metropolitan area). I'm pissed. Screw you T-Mobile fix your damn service before you make some bs claim.

Been with Sprint for over 20 years. Nightmare ever since dealing with T-Mobile. Service is exceptionally horrible. Four calls totaling approx seven hours to get a replacement phone working with no solution. Continually jacked around. Will be going elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and go with a different provider.

Wasted almost 4 hours talking to multiple agents who can't do their jobs right. Sent me 2 internet devices for the same home. Then, cancelled the wrong one. Then, charged me $220 for not returning a device and turns out, they cancelled the wrong one so now have to cancel my current device and be without internet until the new device is shipped.

I have never been so frustrated and stressed with a phone provider company in my entire life! The service was horrible! The phones my son and I had was horrible! I called to cancel my account back in June, I was told it was finalized canceled! But no that officially didn't happen! I have tried calling customer service to return the phones and was told a return label would be sent and a return is due able. Never did get it! And now I've been told that I can't return the phones! This company really should go out of business! Stop letting your staff saying one thing and telling something different! I would give 0 stars if I could!

Scummy marketing practices. When I ordered a new line, there was one price in the cart but they doubled it and said after billing me that I wasn't eligible for the promotion but would not refund charges.

This company is horrible. Their customer service people must be on drugs. Either they don't speak English very well or they're dumb. They spend have the time repeating the same information. It took me over 45 minutes to add international calling!
I just upgraded my review to two stars because someone from Team Mobile called me back and told me they weren't going to charge me for the international call and my international pass... which was very nice. However, I didn't get back the hour I spent on the phone and the other countless minutes trying to figure out their website issues. But, at least they tried to make amends!

I got a plan at the beginning that was good but since I joined T-Mobile they scan me and change the plan by their self and made my payment be $150 extra. They are the biggest scammers do not join them!

I like the fact that they make getting new phones easy and all their ideas are great. With that being said there coverage at least for me makes those ideas very hard to take advantage of such as free music on some steaming services without data. You still have to have a connection. Speaking of connection it is nonexistant most of the time or it is too slow to even bother with, most times if rather pull into a fast food place and use their WiFi instead of looking something up right where I am. I went to att and came back for reasons unknown at this point. Coverage sucks in my area I often drop calls when driving on the high way and you can forget about making a call or sending a text on a building with more than four floors. They have WiFi calling but it doesn't even work 99% of the time. But I mean not including data I have a cheap bill. You what you pay for I guess.

They only steal money! The customer service is a bunch of total incompetents! After spending hours with them they still couldn t resolve my issue! My paid phone is still unlocked! If you want frustration in your life go for this company!

Told me my bill would be no more than $175 a month, but ended up being double. (My bill somehow perfectly adds up to what it would be without my promotion. So i dont think they are giving it to us like they say we are). Gave us wrong info about in-mail phone trade in and ended up losing our phone without providing any curtousy credit for losing it even though they said they would. Each customer service representative does not understand what you are saying and will repeat the same things over and over again. One service rep got very snippy with my fiance and was very quick to get an attitude.

Tosha told us we got a free iPhone 14 upgrade as new customers with a trade-in. We trusted her knowing what she was talking about. Turns out it was not free. I would like to think she didn't lie on purpose, but her ignorance of the promo is still a big problem. We did not need an upgrade. We are now on the hook for an extra $21 a month for two years that we should not be paying. Make sure you read the terms yourself and don't trust what they tell you.

Honestly i have been using tmobile for 12 years, never had a problem until now. And it ruined my expectations and view of the company overall. The tech and cell workers are good people who try to help, however my cellular has not been working for over 2 months and i have called over 5 times to try to get it fixed. Even getting a new sim like they recommend. A week after getting told that a tower was down near my location and that it will be back up in 2 days. It still hasnt worked. I dont want to switch data companies but this is really agitating me and i still have not had this issue resolved.

Originally I left T-mobile to go over to Sprint because of all the excessive hidden charges and terrible service! Now with the merger we had no choice but to go back with T-mobile because our phones were not working properly with our old Sprint sims. Seems like nothing has changed, its actually gotten worse. I have alot more black out spots now than I did before, I will be looking at different services ones our last phone is paid off!

Terrible customer service, incompetent. They sell faulty phones. Dropped calls/ can't make calls in urban areas while overcharging. App is not usable 9/10 of the time. Customer service reads from script and are careless in resolving issues. Not worth the headache.

These guys lie after they get your, service. Customer service will take money off your credit card when unauthorized. Youll have zero recourse and deal w people who yes you but do nothing and won't confirm in writing. Ultimately they change, stories if you. Ever get to a manager. A lot of bait and, switch and you. Can't nail them down. Stay away. Run. Better business bureau should be stepping in and catch these, guys. Please, take my word for it. Run as fast as you can.

The overseas customer service is terrible, and they don't know to $#*! anything—lots of idiots working in Asia. Between 0-10 scale, I give -100. If you don't want to run crazy, don't set up a T-Mobile account. Regarding service, bad. I don't have benefits in my area. I contact cust. Svc. Mail me a signal booster. Still no service. I returned the device to the store but forgot to refund the deposit. When you call, these overseas Asian idiots answer the phone and don't know anything. I was on the line for about 27 minutes talking to the rep, and she asked me why I was calling today. I told her, I have some time and I am so lonely you dump idiots. Stay away from T-Mobile. Anyway, over two weeks T-Mobile unbales to fix the technical issue.

do not use T-mobile

Would put 0 stars if I could. This is the worst service I have ever experienced, every time I go to the store they act like they have the best service. Completely delusional. Or try's to give me an excuse that the "towers are down." I bet the workers here have phones from Verizon or AT&T because the company does nothing but succeed at raising your bill little by little thinking you won't notice. Horrible company and should be shut down and if y'all are working on the towers as much as you say you do then I shouldn't be having any problems.

We moved from Verizon to T-Mobile because of the constant price increases and their nickel and diming. Although we are paying less the service in our area is not as good and now, they are starting to do the same thing Verizon has been doing. The latest is to receive the $10.00 discount for auto pay you can no longer use a credit card, only debit or your checking account. The beginning of death by a thousand cuts!

It's obvious that Tmobile is training its customer representatives to lie and to add items to your account/deals without asking you about it. Be aware of what they offering you vs what they really give you! They will try to lure you with extra nice service, but wherever is sweet talk it's hidden craziness. They tried to scam me 3 times giving me different deals then what originally we spoke about and added more staff that we never spoke about. So I went from 150 a month deal to 250? Glad my phones are going back to them and I'm canceling deals with them. Imagine dealing with them for years no thanks

Never been treated so poorly as I was by t-mobiles late night customer service, and I was with Verizon for 16 years, so I have dealt with my share of cell phone jerks. These were the worst of them all though

Called before I went down to the store about home internet, he said come down and ask for Luis who was already for us. Gave us equipment & instructions, no crazy sales pitch just try it for 2 weeks if you like it cool! Love him! I literally was at the stoplight longer than I was at the store which I really appreciate! Thank you Luis, your the best!

Ron in amsterdam office very helpful and professional no matter how many times I called him or how many questions I asked. He made the migration from sprint easier where sprint was difficult to deal with. Would recommend Ron to anyone.
