T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
On Feb. 9 2023 I called t mobile about over charge on my account. I was supposed to receive a $28.00 credit on Marchs bill and did not get! BUT again I was over charged on my bill $7.00. Called again and got the run around by both the operator, then I talked with supervisor who again was not helpful! All the figures she was throwing out there did not jive with my paperwork! Bait n switch is what I see going on! Will be leaving t mobile. Customer service is poor and unhelpful! Then I was told my bill should be over $100.00 for a simple phone, bought phones out right and t mobile wants to charge me a $1.00 month for my phone saying full price was not paid at store! They are not honoring their own receipts and agreements! Taxes and fees, taxes here are 7.9% and they are charging 10% tax, and fees what fees?
Tip for consumers:
run quick bait n change, hidden charges, high tax rate of 10% then adding on the state and county!

I'm a service connected army veteran That said, I was given the wrong advice by a t-mobile employee and now I'm without ability to make calls so that I can order my medications forcing me to drive to the VA to put my order in. And yes t. M. Knows all this. So I have to get emergency supplies in order to wait for the 7-10 days it takes the va to deliver them. This is very dangerous for me and I'm being interrogated by the VA as to why in need emer supplies. The pass due money I owe was a misunderstanding. In short I paid $178 cash which would be my 2nd bill instead of the $199 that I owed because the T-employee insisted Several times I owed the $178. T-mobile won't work with me and worse not taking any blame. They tried 3x's to take money out of my account costing me $30 a pop and added $60 worth of late charges which exceeds my disability check. My hand to God if I'm lying.

I called in about charges to my account and the rep Edwin was unwilling to help correct what the sales representative (#****553) at Store# 1CSI. I was told that the iPhone 14+ included the liquid screen protector in the price. This was a lie, you are charging me $4.17/mo + the phone cost. The same rep also "waived" the $35 activation fee, which was a lie per my receipt. This is fraudulent inducement & deceptive trade practices! They also sent me home with an internet device that was supposed to have a 30d trial period, nope, same rep gave false information. It was only a 15d trial period and they attempted to charge me for that as well until the store returned the device to THEIR warehouse! I held to speak to a supervisor for 30min then was disconnected - I spent more than 1.5 hours on the phone to get this corrected - now no one will help!

T-Mobile is the worst, the customer service is bad…there are not helpful and they are very defensive. I bought a phone almost two weeks and it's not working. And my other phone wasn't working properly for a month. They don't value their customers.

T mobile keeps charging me for stuff I didn't order. They billed me for service a month after I canceled and I got the final bill. There is no way to talk to a manager or supervisor. After 18 years with them I have been forced to close my account. WTF is going on with them?
Tip for consumers:
They do not operate in good faith with customers.

T-mobile has changed for the worse this year. They use to be the best in the land, but it seems that their customer service, their coverage, and their newest negative scheme (to not accept credit cardss for autopayments) have all led up to them being one of the worse phone services that there is. As soon as my contract on my phones are up I'm considering going to a cheaper carrier that offers the same coverage and promotions. I do NOT recommed T-mobile as your carrier.

Since I was forced to switch from sprint to Tmobile I've been double billed, they won't pay me back and now there is a collections against me for equipment that I owned but they assured me that everything will work out and it will come off my account even though my credit score dropped over a 100 points. The insurance company that Tmobile uses is by far the worst company ever, I filed a claim with them and 2 months later I still don't have a phone both companies are a F****** joke!

I closed my pay as you go account at March 31th and ask refund my money. The service person promised me and gave me confirm code, but I don't get the money. I called again and again (4/18,4/22,5/2,5/10), the service people always check my account and promise me will send me money back. Until today, after 40 days, I have not get my money. This is no good.

When I upgraded two iPhones in my group to the iPhone13 and airpods, I was told the airpods are free. That was all over tv commercials as well. Now t-mobile is charging me for them saying that they used the wrong promo number. I ordered the promotion on the phone so, even if what they are saying is true, it is their fault that I am paying for. Be careful when you believe t-mobile's promotions. I will switch to a more truthful company as soon as I can.
Tip for consumers:
Do not believe their promises.

I went to upgrade my phone at the store in the mall and was told there's a 50% off on tablet since I'm buying a new phone. Of course I was thrilled with that. What I wasn't told was that if I cancelled the data plan on the tablet I would have to pay the full price of the tablet. Not good customer service I have been with T mobile for a long time and don't take their promotions since I didn't need them until the offer on the tablet.
So I called customer service trying to cancel the tablet data and that was when I was told, I then have to pay full price if I cancelled the data.
Not a happy t-mobile client anymore
Le customer any more

Money hungry, trash service and way overpriced. I left Sprint after 10yrs and went to Tmobile because the service was horrible and my bill for one line was insane. It was ok until they merged with Sprint. Now they do the same thing. I wouldn't recommend Tmobile to a roach. Lie after lie after lie and the reps are always so rude. I can't wait to pay this phone off

T-Mobile blocked my wife's usage of her text messaging due to a strange policy about group texting. It pertains to the system recognizing to many group texts and or too many recipients within a group text. Whether it was them another party group texting and tagging, or my wife, who does a lot of group texting was the party, T-Mobile's system will automatically BLOCK TEXT MESSAGE USAGE. After speaking with customer service, it was determined because of their policy she can not text now for a week and a half. But we're still being forced to pay for the unlimited texting. In all the years of having a cell phone service, like 20 years of having four different service providers… NEVER has this happened. I strongly recommend that you don't bother with T-Mobile. They suck!

T-Mobile customer support and the tech cleared cache from the phone. This did not work and the technician reset the phone to its original state. The smart phone is still not operational. The technician then proceeded on offering to send a used “replacement” phone to me. I have asked for a new phone, since my phone was only 2 months old. I was told that that was not possibleT-Mobile, they even suggested we must have sent back an empty box and still have the phone. Finally we got an email address to forward the email we got from their warehouse that the phone was received.

I started out with Nextel with two phone lines. As the account holder. Then sprint bought Nextel. I added a third line. Then T-Mobile bought Sprint. Now I find myself no longer the account holder and not be able to make changes to the account I pay for. This done without my permission. Aw. Gee, I guess I can toss this phone in the trash and move on with a different phone company. My money is good to move on.

I signed up for T-Mobile over the phone. I already had my phones and my phone numbers. It took well over a hour to get the phones enrolled. At the end of the recorded conversation we were offered a 400 dollar gift card toTarget, a year with AAA, and a year with Netflix.
We never received any gift card or any information on AAA. I called T-Mobile today and spent over a hour talking to 3 people. Two of the three tried to get me to upgrade my plan. That was the only way I qualified for the gift card. I was given a link for the AAA and was able to register.
I think the gift card deal is a scam to get you to upgrade.

T-Mobile needs to take their customer service back overseas! They went above and beyond to make their customers experience pleasant! Now they don't give a good godayum. Customer service is awful and don't care if the customer is happy or not.

How dumb is it that T-mobile can host the Spence- Crawford fight at their arena in Las Vegas but if you have internet through T-Mobile, they are not on the provider list so you can't stream the fight?!
Come on T-Mobile! You have to do better!

Went to the store still had to call AT&T. 8 hour day to get my phone working with AT&T. No notification from T-Mobile or AT&T that it was canceled. BEWARE

Where do I start. From beginning to end this company sucks big time. I ordered the Home Internet for my area and they said it was on their Ultra 5G network. What a joke. I got an average of 18 mb/s down and 26 mb/s up. These are Ultra 5G speeds? Then try to cancel was a chore in itself. They kept passing me from one customer rep to another and fiunally after 2 1/2 hours of chats and calls I got my return label. How does this company stay in business? Very unfriendly and unhelpful customer service reps work at TMobile. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CRAPPY COMPANY!
Tip for consumers:
All the negative reviews are real. T-Mobile is terrible all around.

Netflix free for a year. Ok and auto bill pay $5.00 off. Really!?!?!?!?!? My current carrier gives $20.00 off for autopay and HBOMAX free for the time you stay. Plus, $75.00 a line for just one, not including taxes and fees is ridiculous in this day and age.

So we have been with tmobile for 3 plus years, I've had the same phone for 3 plus years and it's still in amazing condition. I have the galaxy note 10 plus and I want to upgrade I feel the glaxey s22 ultra is very similar to my note and they are only offering me 0 down upgrades on phones that are not as good as my note how can they legally say it's a upgrade if it's actually in reality a down grade?
