T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
$#*! team mobile I think with the headache that I'm dealing with. I should get free service for at least a couple months. I've been trying to pay my bill and every time it says sorry can't hear you.

I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF SPRINT FOR OVER 20 YEARS; EVER SINCE THEY MERGED WITH TMOBILE MY NIGHTMARE BEGAN.THEY ADDED LINES TO MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR SIGNATURE; THEY CHARGED ME FOR DEVICES THAT WERE RETURNED 3 MONTHS PRIOR, CLAIMING THEIR WAREHOUSE DIDN'T SEE THEM; I NEVER FELT SO VIOLATED BY A COMPANY; EVERY TIMER I CALLED IT WAS HOURS UPON HOURS WAITING AND NOTHING GOT RESOLVED. AGENTS BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH SO RATHER THAN SOLVING ISSUES THEY GOT WORSE. I HATE THEM, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, TERRIBLE TO ZERO BUSINESS ACUMEN.

We have been with sprint for over 15 yrs. As soon as tmobile bought sprint the clowns showed up... changing phone service tomorrow. Can't believe sec approved this merger what a joke
Date of experience: May 3, 2022
Customer experience is poor because the employees are solely interested in making numbers. Being a customer of sprint since 2002 I have to port out due to billing errors and horrible service.

The most useless customer service, nobody care about your problem, I bought a new phone, UPS try to delivery on a broken box with not phone inside for sure, I notified T-Mobile right away, as been almost two weeks and I didn't get my money back, keep away from this company.

Gradually increase your bill with bs charges, then fail to disclose full info when switching providers so you're stuck still paying them monthly. Refused to take full "balance owed" payment over the phone. JOYCE, EMPLOYEE ID #******* had me on the phone for almost 2 hours, consistently trying to end our call and COMPLETELY refused to let me talk to a manger/supervisor. Refused to give me a manager/supervisor name says it's "against policies and procedures". Lol. Refused to email me any information we spoke about, including the ridiculous policy of not telling me who her supervisor is. TMOBILE IS A SCAM - RUN!

I switched from version and was told my phone would work they just needed to send me a new sim. When I got it, it was spotty and then stopped working altogether. When I called they said it was locked so we called Verizon with TMobile on the line and they said it was unlocked. I went back and forth for weeks and even went to the store and they said if they couldn't get it working they would give me a new phone. Now that I've tried all the things they said they now claim they can't give me a phone because I don't qualify. TMobile is the worst cell carrier I've ever had. They lie and just want to trap you. Also DONOT buy a phone from them or you will be stuck because their refunds are only 14 days and they will drag you through tech support until the 14 days are up and you're stuck. Worst company ever. I hope they get sued and go bankrup.

Yesterday a phone number was hacked, followed by sending spam SMS and using phone contacts, instant messengers, and other services connected specifically to this number, (iPhone 7) You need to work on security, and duplicating numbers in your system, otherwise, so can not only get banned from Facebook and lose real money.

T mobile/sprint is the worst I've ever had. I would never use them again. Maybe it's not to bad for some people but no one I talk to is satisfied. Hope this helps make a decision

Their website said 5G internet would work at our home. Their sales dept (likely due to commission incentive) agreed. They require credit card and credit check to send 5G gateway device. Device came but would not work at our home as confirmed by tech service representative. SALES DEPARTMENT LIED. I cancelled service and returned gateway device immediately. It's been a month and I've spent nearly 3 hours on numerous phone calls and am still getting bills for service I never used. Now I received letter stating that they are turning me over to a collection agency. RECORD YOUR CONVERSATIONS WITH SALES AND TECH SUPPORT. They say they are taking care of it, but they LIE.

People that want the best help go to Santa Fe, Jose at the T mobile store off cerrillos road was a super employee. The people in Albuquerque don't know their job, it was great how Jose fix their mess ups. The people at t mobile should know their job like Jose in Santa Fe!

No trouble out of TMobile unless you have a problem. Technicians not sufficiently trained. Rude does not describe attitude in stores. After all these years I have to go.

They sold me screen protectors for my I phone 11s. Lifetime warranty l. When it broke I returned to the store. Waited 23 minutes to speak to a representative. He told me it would be mailed to me. I waited 33 days and returned to the store. No wait this time. I was told it wasn't ordered however he ordered again. He said I should receive it in a week or two. I will than have to return to the store for the 3rd time to hopefully have it installed. Wear and tear on my car, gas, my time (3 trips) is worth a lot more than the $50 they charged me for a $3 screen. They should be ashamed!

I just called in to speak with a customer service representative about an ongoing issue I've been having with my services. I have purchased two separate devices out of my own pocket because of what the representative said about my phone not being able to adequately receive the right signal, amongst other bull$#*!! I just spoke with the T-Mobile representative about my services and she looked flat out lied to me over a recorded line. There is no way possible for her to gain access to my account. That representative just hung up with me didn't tell me she was leaving just flat out hung up on me, very, severely poor customer support. Then I called back immediately! I finally get a woman who is competent and who can understand things. She explains to me that there's no way that the previous representative could have ever gained access to my account without having to specific pieces of key information. I am done with T-Mobile! Bunch of liars! I am going to download the recorded phone call onto a PDF file and I'm going to file a formal complaint with your head corporate office. This is absolute $#*!ing bull$#*!. Everyone who is reading this should stay away from this carrier. You could possibly experience the same bull$#*! that I've been experiencing!

I signed up with T-Mobile over the phone, but still had Spectrum and had to get someone to change the equipment for me. When it was changed, I know longer had internet and phone service because T-Mobile had.NO SERVICE where I live. They lied! And they're still billing me for the service where I had no service. No one should ever, ever, ever have anything to do with t-mobile, the lyingest worst service in America!
Tip for consumers:
The service at the store was okay and they did had did try to help me. But dealing with anyone from then on was absolute failure and they're still trying to bill me for service I never had. I can only comprehend that the United States of America has become the lyingest and allowing it to be the lyingest country on earth. I am so sick and tired of cheats and scams, but T-Mobile is at the top of the list. I grew up, born 80 years ago, and a country where your word was your bond. No more in the USA

Last year I decided I needed an Ultra 22 for its art and photography capabilities instead of buying a drawing tablet and a camera. In not dissatisfied with the phone.
I hate t-mobile. I made a deal worth the devil. It's worse than AT&T.
My phone started kicking me out of network over a month ago. We were told to wait to 2 new updates. Nothing. I take my phone into the pueblo, CO store, where i purchased my phone. We've had it service for 2 years. Now, I'm being told they can't replace phone unless I pay a back due balance...I didn't have to pay the back due valve when I traded in my OnePlus, which also purchased from this same store.
I call customer service and they tell me the serial number on the phone they sold me is INVALID. HOW THE $#*!, I GOT IT FROM THE STORE. 2 years, I've had my service PAUSED once, while we were homeless.
I still have to make payments on a phone that or they will replace not repair, the phone I am paying for.
If I didn't have kids I'd keep my money and get a land line, cells are too much stress.
Just keep your money T- Mobile is OFFICIALLY TRASH $245 a month worth of dropped calls, 0 bars, and the inability to be reached. Screw you t-mobile

So I was under a family plan and the account holder disconnected my phone. When I called T-Mobile to set up my own account with the same number, it was a nightmare I held for 32 minutes. It hung up on me. I held for half an hour, requested a call back that didn't happen finally at 10:30 PM. I called again and waited 45 minutes. The representative made empty promises and kept talking about her life, instead of focusing on the subject at hand. She asked me for my social 9 times she submitted order 5 times after 1 hour and 47 min she says oh a message jist popped up and is telling me you need to go into a store tomorrow. She tried to give me the 90$ plan add on tablet add mobile router promised I could keep my old phone # and she is sending a 50$ gift card and waiving activation fee. So I say okay so tomorrow when I go in I can have my old # and set up my account she says oh no honey that # isn't released just disconnected, without the pin you can't have the #. I talked to her for almost 2 hours for absolutely nothing. The main reason for the call was to have my number that was disconnected an hour before my 1st call. Talk about stringing someone along. Fyi I'm not a puppet. You should be ashamed of your ethic and integrity and stop wasting people's time. Just be real no need to play Monopoly!

My family and I purchased our phones over 6 months ago with T-mobile switching from Verizon. We were given such good hype about the plans and that they would pay off our old phones up to $1000 and gave us a wonderful price monthly for service compared to Verizon. We were so excited. Fast forward 6 months later, we have YET to see a pay-off on our old phones (NOW IN COLLECTIONS MAY I ADD, THANK YOU T-MOBILE) and our plan that was suppose to be $180, which was for one month is now almost $400 a month. Can I say these crooks are scam artists! They sure are! Will be seeking service elsewhere.

They are suppose to have the best senior plans and great coverage, NOT SO! I went in only to switch plans, did not need a new phone. They (the store and the 800 number) told me about the Magenta Max. $65 a month with free Apple TV and Netflix. Also said if I traded in my phone, ($800 value). I would get a new iphone 13mini at no cost to me, except for up front taxes. Sounds good right? I asked if there was a contract, they said no! Well guess what, I am now being billed the $65, plus $11 because I share Netflix with my daughter, and an additional $5.41 each month for 2 years… What happened to "No Contract"? To some of you it may not seem like much, but it's more about the LIES, than anything else. I tried to cancel after receiving my bill today, but they said it is now 32 days since I switched and I would have to pay $639 for the phone that I didn't want or need in the first place. I spoke to several people at work who have had the same problem. I realize that all carriers have some catch, but I feel that Verizon is more up front and much better coverage.
