T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
Phones high priced for low quality. My phone is still under warranty. But they will not take it back because it has a very minor scratch that can probably be buffed out.

THE WORST INTERNET ON PLANET EARTH. Not only that their call centers are schooled and trained to be naive (or stupid) so they can continually bill you because you can't answer their 20 passwords, PIN codes, telephone numbers and a multitude of other idiot verifications.BEWARE! They will try and Rob your bank account and your credit cards or any other means to scam you for their benefit. After 2 router/modems DISASTROUS FAILURES, I've tried over two weeks to secure a shipping label to send them back. And yet still get emails saying payment due. And on top of it the "new" payment was twice as much as agreed to. They run a superior sht show that the FCC should initiate bankruptcy proceedings against, lock their doors and throw away the key. Some REAL Scumbags!

STAY AWAY ! T-MOBILE IS WORSE THAN COVID-19 !

Be very cautious about online chat to obtain new cellular service through T-Mobile. Agents do not know their product lines and give misleading information regarding values for trade in devices. After two and a half hours of chatting with an agent I asked when the value of my trade would be determined and she stated at the time they receive the pre-application. I ended up filling out the application with my personal information and I submitted them asked what the value of my trade in devices came in at. At this point the lies unraveled. I informed her I had screen shots of my question and the answer she provided. I asked for her direct supervisor. She supplied me with customer service. From there the run around trying to get to speak to a supervisor continued for another hour before they just placed me on a long hold and disconnected the call. With the ethics of the sales team and the lack of concern from all parties, customer service to sales to activation I would recommend using extreme caution when considering changing to this Carrier

The pro: they have good coverage in my mountainous, rural area. The cons follow. In contrast to their recent video ads, T-Mobile sticks you with higher and higher cost plans. If your older phone dies, they won't let you continue that cheaper plan and will only offer you a more costly one. If your older phone becomes antiquated (e.g. Like with a 3G one), T-Mobile will force you into a more costly plan with an updated phone. T-Mobile always has an excuse to say bye-bye to cheaper plans, so, fear not, you will be paying more for your service in the future. T-Mobile will find a way. Next con: problems accessing your account on their website. I'm not the only pay-as-you-go customer who suddenly can't access their account online anymore and am stuck calling in to make payments. The tech rep said they'd fix it, but, after months, still no access. It seems like T-Mobile is trying to force customers to enroll in their automatic payment plan, and that just doesn't work well for those with wildly variable or lower incomes. So I've ditched both of my prior phone services with them for cheaper ones at another company with coverage that's just as good.

I have been a Tmobile customer for 8 years. I pay $300 per month on account. This is the third time I come to Brazil, T mobile tells me that the phone will work automatically, but it never works. I'm in another country, no phone, no communication with my family, no GPS to get around. I called in the morning and they told me that they would call me later today to solve my problem, but I didn't get a call. I'm stuck in a hotel room because the phone only works on Wi-Fi, no communication, no being able to talk to my family, no calls from my clients. And TMobile just doesn't solve my problem. The attendant told me not to leave the wi fi so that they communicate with me. I've been stuck in the hotel for more than 10 hours and nobody solves my problem. And this is the third time it has happened in a year. They tell me that i have to wait 24 hours for them to fix it, but i am in another country, incommunicado. This is unacceptable! I'm going to ask in court for everything I'm entitled to. All my harm!

They set me up with a new iPhone, two apple watches, and cell service for each.
I live in Alaska, a state their cell service doesn't function. I don't know how i could have talked to 3 representatives about my plan/purchases without any of them telling me this.
When I called them, they told me that I still needed to pay my service bill, but that I could return the devices for a refund and cancel my billing afterward.
I returned the devices 5 MONTHS ago. I still get service and equipment bills in the mail. I never received a refund for hundreds of dollars. I have called many times, they'll tell me that the return was received but they need to process something that will take 60 days, 60 days pass and I call again, they tell me that they'll have a manager call me back in 3-5 days, I get a call 5 days later that they'll call me on Monday instead, I won't hear from them so I call and get put on hold for an hour total before they tell me the manager isn't in so there's nothing they can do, etc.
They're a horribly organized company, I would like for them to be sued based on other reviews about their malicious charges/return practices.
If T-mobile isnt a total scam, they might as well be.

I joined tmobile 2 months ago and at the time I was just going to add my existing phones to this new a account. But the manager Carlos at the del amo store told me I can get two brand new phones as a promo at 800 discount off two phones for a total 1600 discount. I received 800 for my phone immediately but not the iPhone I got for my husband. Now I've called and chatted numerous times and everything at the end they say oh this will be applied within 3 days. I have still seen no discount applied for this. DONT TRUST THEM THEY LIE AND DO NOT HONOR ILL BE LEAVING TMOBILE ASAP

I recently switched to T mobile. My phones were suppose to be here in 2 days. They arrived in 9 days.I spent 2 days trying to hook them up with several different people.I finally got someone who spoke fluent English today and he confirmed everything I was told about switching was a lie and that I would have to pay restocking fees for their dishonesty.I was lied to about my home internet plan as well as cellular plans.I was sent 3 s23s and told I could get 2 s 23 ultras after 31 days when the payoffs were up from Verizon for 400$ each. When I spoke with Jake tonight he confirmed I would have to pay 800$ and was only eligible for 1 line to get that cost.Additional would be 1200$.Jake was the only person who was honest with me.When I told him I would like to cancel he told me I would have to pay restock fees for all of my devices.I am not near my 20 days remorse period at all.I just hooked them up today finally after hours of dealing with them.Beware of T mobile they are outright liars and Thieves.I have never had such a bad experience with another company in my life.

Simply stay away from this company.

Years back I would absolutely recommend t mobile, but now.DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. They do not care about loyalty or customer care AT ALL. If you have a problem,it is yours. I have been promised so many solutions by them, I've been promised follow up phone calls by them, I've been promised credits by them, and absolutely none of which have been followed up by them. Save your time save your money and save your frustration and I highly recommend a different phone company

Being a T-Mobile costumer was the worst mistake I've made. While they offer you fast internet/service for a low price, they do otherwise. They have the WORST internet connection(poor, slow, and frustrating) for an insanely high price. It is NOT worth it, I would NEVER recommend it. If I have to use a word to describe T-Mobile, that word would be "pathetic".

T Mobile dropped from decent cell service to CRAP! Does TMobile's account executives really believe by paying for commercials showing all this coverage but providing their customers with under one star service is the best way to do business, or the BEST con? They actually SUCK now. I can't have a conversation with any of my clients without breaking up on the entire call to the point where my client actually hangs up on me because it's so frustrating! I work 9-10 hours per day on this phone and am getting hung up on all day because my clients and I cannot communicate clearly! In my business, like most, it's VERY competitive... I CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE CLIENTS ALL DAY 6 DAYS PER WEEK! I'M SEARCHING NOW to find a clear network. IT'S NOT TMOBILE SINCE THEY STARTED MESSING WITH ALL THE TOURS. YES I HAVE A 5G PHONE! Top of the line. TMOBILE JUST SUCKS NOW!

This company fails miserably in the customer service department. I purchased 2 new iphones. My daughter went to the T-Mobile store in Arlington VA. She spent 50 minutes trying to get help transferring her number over from another carrier. Both of the reps working in the store were too busy on social media to be of any help. They kept telling her to go on the T-Mobile App to get a transfer pin. (They had no idea how to get this pin number...they expected her to figure it out, which was totally useless information!) I called customer service twice...finally the second person that came on the line, told us the pin had to come from our original phone carrier. I ordered a phone from T-Mobile a week ago...still waiting for my phone, even though I'm being charged for it. UPS attempted delivery once (without any notice) and then promptly shipped the phone back to TX. The store reps in Los Angeles (where I live) were as unhelpful as they could possibly be. So here I am still waiting...I am as underwhelmed by this company and am wondering if I have made a big mistake transferring my service here!

18 months ago I fell for the T Mobile "switch to us and we will give you a free 'phone" promotion. Firstly the phone is not free. I pay $36 / month for the phone for 2 years - so that is about $800. When I agreed to the 2 year contract the sales person told me that the phone was insured against all perils throughout that period. Today I learned that to be false. I use the device only as a phone. Very seldom does it go on-line. Pretty much it remains on my desk unless I go in the car, - then I carry it. Gradually the battery has failed. Now I have to charge it every day even when not used. I called T Mobile customer service to have the battery replaced. You are not insured they tell me, and the warranty is 12 months so that has expired. "Don't worry though, we can get you into a new phone". I disconnected the call.
During the life of my phone, T Mobile has installed many apps, none of which I use. I did install one app myself, it was to identify weeds in my garden. They recently contacted my phone to say lets clean the phone. They did not want to remove the hundreds of apps that they had installed they wanted to remove the one app that I had installed. They have lost me for ever!
