T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
I am a disabled veteran and a customer of T Mobile for nine years. I had bad reception at Army bases that I was sent to. On top of that, T Mobile silently raised the rates on the military discount over the last couple of years by $80, and that was without upgrading our phones. When we inquired about a better rate on a phone plan, the sales person offered promotions for a less expensive plan and for phone upgrades. T Mobile took an I Phone 11 as a trade-in. T Mobile refused to let us keep our numbers. We called customer service to get the numbers transferred to the new account. We were told that we would lose our promotions and our bill would go up. T mobile refuses to let us return the phones. The store we went to, we never saw a manager on duty. They are the only ones authorized to complete a return transaction. We tried at both the store and through a phone call to customer service. They also lost the phone we traded in. They kept trying to recover our account but we set up service with AT&T who let us keep our original phone numbers. Any step in the chain of events would have prevented the switch but T Mobile is so money hungry and customer unfriendly that I highly recommend finding a different carrier with better coverage and customer service.
Tip for consumers:
Shop for the best service, both price and customer support. Do not hand over any trade-ins until you are 100% positive of the carrier your are going to agree with.

I do not recommend anybody use T-Mobile and if you do do not pay with the card they automatically put your card on auto pay and steal money from your card without your authorization then they make you go through a whole process and wait 48 hours to get your refund I do not recommend anybody to use T-Mobile internet service this is the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life I've never had my money taken or automatically put on auto pay and then they took my money before my bill was even due a whole week and they didn't even take the bill amount they took a random amount so if I was anybody reading this review this is a real person I have a real account with T-Mobile and I advise you not to pay them with a card if there's a T-Mobile around you go in and pay cash

My problem is when u make a payment arrangement it should be ur terms when u get paid. Not on t mobile terms. I feel u do that to get more money out of consumers.

I switched to T mobile back in October of 2022, could not get service at home. I had them specifically check to make sure they could provide service to my address and was told yes. When I could not get service at my home, I was put into what seemed like a never ending loop with customer service. Finally, they admitted they could not service my home address and I was able to cancel my service and was supposed to get a complete refund since it was not anything on my end. I kept getting bills and called several times which took over an hour each time.
Here it is July of 2023 and I happen to look at one of my credit cards and see where T Mobile since June 2023 has started charging my credit card 105.84. I immediately called my credit card and put in a dispute, and then called T Mobile, who kept me on hold forever and then when someone does come on the line they have one excuse after another of why it is taking so long to reverse the charges they had no business charging me and then the customer service rep said I needed to close my active account and she would do that after crediting me back for the two charges of 105.84. I sat on hold again off an on for a total of 25 minutes, and finally when she came back on she said her computer was running slow and she needed to keep me on hold. I asked why I needed to close an account again that I closed back in October of 2022, she had no answer of course. Then she hung up on me. I am not calling them back but if they keep trying to put charges through and do not credit my account I will be contacting the attorney general. Do not do business with them.

There are almost no words to explain my experience with your 'combined' organization. It started 8 hours ago, and right now at 6pm at night, I am still on hold. Mid day all I could do is laugh, by early evening that turned to tears, begging for someone to just help me.
I started my day at 10am my the closest Tmobile store (120th and Dodge). I was informed I wasn't a delegate. So I left, had my husband add me, and then returned back to the store, to get back 'in line'. After 45 minutes I was informed I had to go to the Apple store. I left, and spent the next 2 hours at the Apple store, only to be told I had "assurant' and to go back to Tmobile. I returned to Tmobile and was told they are not a 'tech store' and to call another store. I called, and was told I needed to submit a claim on line. I went on line, and was informed I needed to call. I called and was transferred to 5 people, repeating my story each time. Assurant to Tmobile... This is UNBELIEVABLE. I'm still on hold

Updated a phone through T-MOBILE. The upgrade included trading my iPhone 11 for an iPhone 13pro max- NO RECEIPT WAS EVER PROVIDED at store or at my T-Mobile online account. When I finally obtained a receipt through multiple attempts through phone customer service, the sales price on the new phone was a much higher price than the one offered/agreed at store. (the trade was part of a promotion). Deceptive & Misleading way of doing business.
It is unreal how large business are still allowed to do this without any penalties.
BEWARE OF T-MOBILE phone upgrades & promotional offers!

For three days i was trying to speak to someone about activating my phone. I was told that there was ethic diversity in the tech department, but kept getting put in a que in the same building in the philipines, not once was i transferred to someone, anyone that spoke english as a first language. Not once did i get a german accent, nor an indian save not one austrailian accent, but definitly the same building in the philipines. No offense, just the fact of the matter. Its crazy how if you press to speak in spanish you get someone that speaks spanish as their first language, but english, its just not that way. And people that speak 3 or more tongues might be smarter than me, but it doesnt make it correct or acceptable that i have had to call for three hours to get a rep that spoke and understood propperly enough to get this task accomplished. I miss verizon and their ineptitude already.

WORST PHONE COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD. OVERCHARGED ME FOR MONTHS ON A SECONDARY LINE THAT I HAD CANCELLED. ONLY AGREED TO "REIMBURSE" ME FOR 90 DAYS WORTH OF THE OVERPAYMENT. THEN I JUST WAITED 6 MONTHS FOR REIMBURSEMENT ONLY FOR THEM TO TELL ME I NEEDED TO REMEMBER A PIN TO THE ACCOUNT THAT I CLOSED 6 MONTHS AGO. I TOLD THEM I WOULD RUN THROUGH POSSIBLE PINS, AND THEY EVENTUALLY SAID NO MORE. THEN WHEN I GOT ON THE PHONE WITH A MANAGER, HE WAS RUDE AND ASSUMPTIOUS. TOLD ME HE COULD NOT HELP ME WITH THE ACCOUNT, EVEN THOUGH I WAS PROMISED A REIMBURSEMENT FOR THEIR MISTAKE 6 MONTHS AGO. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO HAS THE OPTION TO: STAY AWAY FROM TMOBILE! THEY ARE MONEY-HUNGRY VULTURES.

I have been with T-Mobile for yrs, never had a complaint till now. Back at the end of July my husband and I went to get new phones. My husband got the new Samsung and I pre ordered the fold (which didn't drop till 8/11) we also got all the accessories for both. On 8/1 my husband's phone and all the accessories came in. On 8/11 I went into my tmobile app to see when they were going to send my fold. It said completed 8/1. So I called tmobile, the person I talked to was confused also. It showed phone delivered, but had no esm number or any identifying information on the phone. I was told a ticket would go in and I would be reached put to in the next 5 to 7 days. On the 8th day I reached out again. Spent an hour on hold while they were trying to figure stuff out. Finally got on the phone with a supervisor who told me to he honest no one had even looked into my ticket. Mind you while they are investigating they are holding my 750 deposit and I can even go get a new one. Here I am still waiting for someone to contact me on this issue and still nothing. Beyond upset with how this whole situation is being handled.

onlysidekick.com = SCAM - I order a screen protector and a booster which is to boost a signal on my sidekick phone
I got NO order number/ NO confirmation #/ it been almost 3 weeks and still NOTHING.
I sent them email and no reply, talk to them on live chat, they ignore me after telling me that my order is still in the shipping department(yea right ok.)
DON'T ORDER FROM THIS SITE! I'm mad and frustrated

I purchased a router that was on sale through t-mobile.com. 2 weeks later I was wondering what the hell was taking so long, so I called them. Apparently they cancelled the order without notifying me, because I did not answer a confirmation phone call they never told me was coming. The CS rep on the phone told me they no longer carry the item, so I am out of luck. I have never even heard of a company calling the customer to confirm a purchase, much less cancelling the order outright without notice because someone didn't answer. The order was only 35 dollars, not kidding. If they were going to call they could have just said at the time of my order, "You are going to get a call". I am upset that 2 weeks later I do not have my router and have to go about paying more and waiting all over again to get it. I feel that this company has cost me time, and time is money, so they have cost me money. I feel they should have gone to extreme lengths to compensate me for their extremely poor handling of the matter. There is absolutely no excuse for their behavior here. I feel that this is a very poor company who does not give a damn about me or my business, and I will literally go out of my way to do everything I can over the course of my life from here on out to make sure that this company fails. This company is pure garbage and should not be allowed to ever offer retail services in the United States.

After over ten years with the company, I decided to upgrade, and add a few additional lines and it went downhill from there. It took over 10 calls to different regions to finally have my correct plan as agreed.
First, it appears that getting the new lines important than my satisfaction.
It seems the Richmond, VA-based office was trying to undercut the package deal created by the international center.
When I called to make sure that the plan agreed to was in place, after I waited for over two weeks from when T-Mobile sent out the incorrect telephone, a manager (Expert) as they claimed came on line and wanted me to accept a plan that I never agreed to, and told me that they were incorrect and that he would have his manager call me after I told him that as long as he wasn't the owner, there is someone over him.
I am still waiting, but credit to the international office that sometimes gives poor reviews for some who may have personal issues with these out of the U.S. calls, the issue was resolved
It is a long story, and you do not need to read my gripe. However, I am still with them, and they are good if you only if you don't have to call them for a few things. As a result, I took off one star for simply poor customer service.

The idea that most of these telecommunication companies new focus is to get to you to buy the latest gadgets, some of the customer service gets lost once you are stuck on a payment plan.
The essential point comes down to where you planned to travel, location and how much data you want to access daily. The reality is that you are not on a personal computer and can accept that these gadgets have limitation despite few difference in data plan you will be fine on any network.
Now that Ive set the expectation, like many other places, such as selling a used car, you are the best person until you leave that car lot with the vehicle. T-Mobile work for me during my international travels, and the older basic plan works. Now if I drop that, the same plan cost more.
Ive been with this company for over 10 years, we have had break-ups and disagreements, but back together.
Overall, Ive gotten great service, and if I stay away from a certain (U. S) location of customer service associates after your call is transferred, my concerns have always been resolved.
So, on that note, T-Mobile remain solid in my book.
If anyone comes with a better plan, and telephone price on the same network, I may consider switching.

My experience with T Mobile the worst company that I have dealt with in my 76 years. I went.to the Mechanicsville Va store and got the internet gateway to try for 15 days
I could not get a good signal to far from tower. I took it back 4 days later and was told we won't take it back and to drive another 30 minutes to another store where they took it back. That's only the beginning I started getting charged 55.00
A month for 2 months on credit card.I called and they said they would take care of it. I called again two weeks later and they said it would be taken care of
I called again and sorry.it would be taken care of and today I get a collections notice for 110.00
I called again and asked to speak to manage and got no satisfaction. I just filed a complaint with the Attorney General Office,BBB and FCC to have this removed from my credit report. I will never go near a t Mobile office again
Ps I received a bill for 95.33 for equipment. I received a email from Marty ceo of the response team telling I returned the equipment on 11/16/23 and not on 10/16/23 and he would offer to erase the 95.33 if The claim was over. I sent the receipt for the return showing 10/16 now that's the ceo of the response team can't even get it right. I made him a offer to have bills showing zero balance and a letter from the so called non collections company alliance saying zero balance is owed.

I loathe trying to talk or text with any of the T-Mobile "experts" (they call them) I am chronically having to decipher what they are trying to say. The T-Mobile service is OK, not bad not stellar...but the customer service is like a trip to Dante's Inferno. I have wasted at least 2 hours in the past 2 days just trying to order and track a new iphone (which I spent $1399 for) No promotions for me, of course. The worst part is the communications. I feel I am constantly talking with someone who is not a native english speaker and I have a hard time deciphering what they are actually trying to tell me. For instance - this comment was made on text when I asked what the delivery date will be for my phone "the estimated date that your order will be delivered is on 11/19 and 11/20 and once it is ready to shipped to extend my help I will be reaching you for you to be updated." What in the WORLD does this mean? OMG SO I am not a happy T-Mobile customer - of 3 years. But to be fair customer service seems to be a lost art with every company.

When my six year old misplaced a cell phone we called to suspend the service. We simply use it for internet during long drives. We called to suspend when he lost the phone only to find out that they will suspend the account but you still pay the full amount, WHAT A JOKE! In order to not pay for it you must cancel the line so that you loose your phone number and if you find it and want to get a new number you have to pay the sign up fees again, GOOD BYE T-MOBILE We are changing back to Verizon or going to AT&T Service is spotty to begin with!
