“They are very good at apologizing!”

Kristy S.
2/27/15

I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.

Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.

Haha I guess so many people complain to T-Mobile that their system is constantly crashing every time I call it takes anywhere from 1 to 6 hours to get on the phone and then they still have system issues. A lot of the sales people and customer service people are uneducated on their services and a lot of them are rude. T-Mobile does not give proper information they lie about when you will be billed they make it hard to cancel.

This company is a joke! I will stick with prepaid. Going through a contract is the worst decision I made. I never seem so many unwanted unnecessary fees. $15 to change a number. Wtf? All hidden fees and it's great they set payment arrangement but it's not worth the headaches.
There's so many other great companies like Visible, US Mobile. I would also try not to get Metro which is part tmobile. I had so many problems with TMobile! Stay away

Tip for consumers:
Look at the reviews and check out other services. What you want and need are totally different. Not all carriers are the same. Remember TMobile is now owns Sprint. Boost is owned by Dish Network. Ask and search online.

Most people might have smart phones, but there are still countless who want just a flip phone. The T-Mobile website no longer has flip phones, and the cheapest smart phone is over $100. (The phone has many terrible review, too.) Not everyone wants to do all sorts of things with their phone. Some people still just want to talk or possibly text. T-Mobile should stop ignoring those buyers. They should also get different music when they place people on hold for customer service. The music they play just verifies their main interest is young buyers, not older ones. Not everyone is either young or wants to go to Walmart and get on a family plan. Not everyone wants to go visit a T-Mobile store either. The website should have the widest range of phones, not the stores.

I have had many cell phone providers over the years and they are by far the worst company ever! They over charge constantly with hidden fees and I discovered that the price that they charged me for my phone was double what the retail value of the phone should have been! I am like so many other customers that have submitted negative reviews and hope that they go out of business!

Was hoping the claims of 5g were true. Claims of faster, better, stronger signal, etc. NONE of which is true. Coverage map is a lie. Doesn't come close to what the map shows, no where near. And now, I have to pay for their "special 5g" phones or live with the bill. T-mobile sucks

I have been a T-mobile customer for almost 10 years now. The best part of T-Mobile was their billing consistency along with great customer service. For the past few months, their customer service is not as good, but worse is their bill consistency. After three calls to customer service, I am still getting charged for the home internet service that didn't work for me and was returned to T-Mobile. Each time I call customer service, they provide me their personal guarantee that the credit will be put back on my bill - but each time, they charge me $50. I have 11 lines with T-Mobile and may start shopping around with Verizon if issues continue with T-Mobile. I hate to leave them, but may not have an option if they keep charging me for services that I don't have.

Horrible customer service that I have ever had since I was 7 years of service. No xxxx about the current customer but they only care about getting new. And, try to sell upgrade to bump up the sales revenue.

I paid off my phone and wanted to unlock it. Called T-movile and they said "it will be unlocked in 24-48 hours" it's been 3 weeks and the phone hasn't been unlocked. T-mobile has a way of giving their customers a hard time. They'll do everything in their power for you to stay with them even if you've paid off your balances. They also charge me for that phone's line even if they said they removed it from my plan already. If I can rate them a negative I would.

Tip for consumers:
T-mobile’s the worst. This isn’t the first time they’ve done this to us. Other phone companies are better.

I just want to acknowledge the T-Mobile staff at our Butte, MT store. As we had actually purchased our plan through the carrier, but not at the location, and had questions, and wondered why we had two separate transactions, etc. and we were Seniors and could save some money by switching to that plan. The staff at the store were so helpful, particularly, Trenton who helped us out a lot

Tip for consumers:
Just that the staff at T-Mobile were quite helpful

Beware, T-mobile is horrible in service connectivity. Never works even with the magenta plan. Horrible connections in all areas. As soon as my contract is up Im switching back. No matter how "unlimited it is what does it matter if I never have web service on the latest Iphones. Dont even trust the area maps for coverage. They Lie worst than the service, and you cant tell until your already on contract with them.

Customer service is the worst. Trying to access account no one can give you any help. After spending 4 hours on the phone only to be told the in office can only help. Then driving 45 mins to find a corporate office my local office told me could only help with the issue. Then told no we can't help you have to call in! Called again another 4 hour call only to be told we have to go into a local office. WOW! I guess if I can't access my account it must be fraudulent? Just want out of the TMobile nightmare. Never ever will go with TMobile. Hope this paints a picture for others also.

TMobile owes me $380 for a non return fee for a home internet device that was returned. They have verified that the device was received. Then they gave a bill for an inactive account and sent it to collections to report it on my credit. Been dealing with them for 10 months without a resolution.

Tip for consumers:
Don't do it. If you have any issues, they will literally tell you to just go find a new service. If they can find a way to charge you erroneously, you will not get your money back.

I had a very bad experience with this mobile dealer. I have ordered Samsung s dous from them but the phone I have received got software complaint within 1 week. It is low quality, looks like second hand. One of my friend ordered same mobile from other site and it is with good quality. Price range is also same. I have returned the same to them by asking this, first time they didn’t respond properly but later they asked me to return.

I switched over to T-mobile from AT&T and they warned me about T-mobile & they were absolutely right. I've been on the phone with customer service every day and I get a different answer identifying the problem multiple times a day. I should have never have switched over. Trust me there's a reason why it's only 30$. Google T-Mobile customer service, I wish I would've done this before I got it. This is the 1st review I've ever written but it's been that AWFUL!

Tip for consumers:
How terrible T-Mobile is. A simple google on their customer service would have told me how not bad AWFUL this service is!

Disconnected service while I was out of the country and asks that one contact customer service. Apparently, the bill was increasing due to travel on a ship not being covered by Tmobile and to contact them. Well, I have no service to contact customer service: not via the 800 number, not through your 505 number, not via the app because the app wants to confirm your identity by sending you a text confirmation to your device (Hello, I cannot receive any texts or calls or anything because you abruptly suspended my account). I cannot go to a store because I'm overseas. I go to my online account and my balance states zero but "account suspended"; no chat feature offered... I'm closing on a house, supposed to be on duty (available by phone and electronically) shortly after Tmobile suspended my phone service, and Tmobile is causing an immense disruption on my affairs. No, one cannot easily contact you contrary to your misleading advertisement.

Moved from Verizon to T-mobile, and incentives included $200 card for every line that was moved, as I was moving 4, I should have received $800. Called customer service twice to inquire about it, the first time I was told there was an issue but it would be resolved, called back a month later and was told the same thing but this time that the offer had expired and I was out of luck! They also removed the auto pay credit if you pay by credit card, for me a $25 saving. I pay with a CC as the CC Company provides insurance on the phones. T-Mobile moves and changes its promotions after you have signed an agreement. What is the purpose of an agreement if they do not have to uphold their side and expect the consumer to honor their side? I will be moving back to Verizon was my agreement expires.

I was going to switch to these guys but found it impossible to communicate with most of their associates. I spent about two hours on the phone with them and didn't get anything accomplished. They don't read emails. T Moblle said they had to get permission from Consumer Cellular to have my number put in their service. I eventually went back to CC.
When I tried to cancel my service they asked me for things like a PIN which I didn't have.
Since they failed to bill me after about two weeks I just figured I would watch and make sure they didn't charge me.

I had t mobile, the phone I had there had a chip problem with it. There was no fix for it, and I didn't have good service. So I cancelled and went else where. I paid my final bill, sent my phone back. Everything was documented, that I owed nothing. Now they want 150.00. No one can tell me why. I went to the t mobile store. Amy looked everything up, called customer service. Telling customer service that I owe nothing. It was all in writing in front of Amy. Customer service hung up on Amy. I would never deal with this company ever. Not that it will do much. I'm turning them in to the BBB. Also see what small claims court can do. Very mismanaged company. I'm getting copy's of everything showing I paid my bill in full tomorrow. And I will post pic then.

I went to the Kingston, NY office to get a price for 3 lines. I was quoted $80 (without internet) but my online invoice stated $195. The T-mobile office lied about the cost. Then they lied when I questioned them about it. I will never do business with T-mobile again.

My husband and I were looking to get new phones. We went to several different stores and at the end of the day we find ourselves at our local t mobile store in Gadsden Alabama. I have never seen such wonderful costumer service like we received at t mobile. The sales guy, Maurice, went literally above and beyond to make sure we got the phones of our choice and and the plan that was best for us. I have never seen someone go out of their way like this man did. He is just an awesome and understanding guy. The whole t mobile team at our local store is great. But Maurice really stands out. I highly recommend anyone needing a new phone or even if your considering switching to definitely go with t mobile! And be sure to ask for Maurice! ;)

The worst customer service I've ever dealt with in my life. I'm 58 female, my only stress is dealing with T-Mobile customer service. I've spent seven eight hours on the phone trying to get an answer to a very simple question. Quickly answered by a manager of a TMobile store.
