T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
I recently purchased a new phone and told them I wanted to pay for my phone separately and not have any installments. The process my request - however, they applied my trade-in and neglected to add sales tax. So they put the sales tax on an installment plan. When I complained at the store - they said there is nothing they could do and basically told me to get lost.

I experienced good Cell phone service from this company but after buying my phone at the local T-mobile store, I was billed almost $200 to ask for my phone to be unlocked.
T-mobile does not have a contract with customers, so I was very unhappy to have to pay so much just to get my phone unlocked.

I've been with this useless network for almost 4 years. I was happier with AT&T. Every month, T mobile charges me at least 70$ extra charges on bill and when I call customer care, they give me senseless reasons and trust me, every representative gives different reasons. I spend at least 3-4 hours a month on t mobile customer care calls. I have referred more than 15 people to T-Mobile and I'm going to ask everyone to leave and will take them to another network. T mobile needs a lesson for disrespecting their customers.

This company is awful. They treat customers absolutely bad. The signal is awful too. Very expensive for what they offer. Stay away from T-Mobile. They got hacked last year too and personal info from customers got stolen. They didn't even apologize.

T-Mobile is charging me for the phone that I returned back to them. They said they didn't receive the phone, but the phone was delivered. They claim that they open the package. It was an empty package. Now. I'm getting charged for 1,000. I call them several time to try to solve the issue and see what can we do? How to find the phone? They open the investigation. They try to convince me also to get a watch, which I already have another watch and I tried to explain to her. I don't need another watch. She's like, oh, the watch is free. You don't have to pay anything that turned out to be. Also a lie. If anyone out there trying to go to T-Mobile, please don't do it. It would be the biggest mistake that you will make. This company is a frog. I personally, I'm praying for this company to go down.

At T Mobile store like the one at Barrington Rd and Schaumburg Rd are a bunch of young guys there and most of them are too fast to get rid of a customer and one in particular is very hyper and rush in everything even when was just myself there no other customer. Just awful. He even had the nerve to suggest to go to Best Buy and pay a fee to let me know something simple for him to show me. And today I waited over 40 minutes to ask a question even then he wanted to take a different customer. This is another awful "technician" at this store. I'm an old lady and they haven't the most elementary idea about respect. And T Mobile should implement that in them and have one of them available to answer simple questions because I couldn't get a response over the phone and told to come there, so I drove there just for a question.
Except Melanie who was busy, everyone else is not good at that store.

My wife and I have had T-Mobile for 7 months now and from the 2nd month on I have been on the phone with tech support to try to get the service working as they advertise. We have to just about every tech thing you can do and still service is the worst. Stay away from this company. They will talk to you on the phone to act like they are helping you out but at the end of the day your no better then when you first called them. They will tap your account for the money but the service does not get any better. Personally I would not even give it 1 star.

Absolutely BAD! Right from the beginning my cell phone service was bad -- calls dropped and there was an abnormal pause before it connected so you weren't sure it was connecting. I complained -- but nothing came as a result -- they said they did this and that. Finally I decided to just leave. My going to Tmobile proved to be a costly venture. Not only did I l lose monies in a Sim Card, Activation Fee, Month and a half worth of service with T Mobile, but I had to also re-invest monies in order to go with the new Phone Provide when I switched back again.

Went and bought 3 phones yesterday. Then we got the stupid 5G internet don't do it! It does not work. We paid $35 and they told us we up to 14 days we can return it no problem. They failed to tell us about the restocking fee. So paid 70 for something that does not work. They told us we signed up under a promotion of 25 they would refund us that. We did not pay 25 we paid 70 how does this make any sense. The customer service person said we would have to go back to the store to get refund. We were just there he did not help at all. Don't buy the WiFi it sucks such a scam. $70 for trash!

It was determined after discussions with tech that my 5G T-Mobile router died. Tech physically located a router and sent me to a store 8 miles away. When I got there, there network was out system wide and although they had the router in stock, they would not accommodate by giving me the router, keep the box taking my info and log the exchange later when their systems came up. Instead I was forced to return home and wait until they called, then drive another 16 miles trip to get the router. Absolute nonsense that such a simple solution could not be implemented in order to save a long time customer hours of pain. Even complaining to a supervisor@ 611 would not resolve this. This has cost me a day of lost work and hours of pain. Fock you Tmobile, it's back to Cox for me.

I was told I was getting a free phone. Unfortunately, I was on automatic payment so I didn't see my bill. They not only charged me for the "free" phone, they charged me for insurance. We hate the phone and only got it because it was free. The store we got the "free" phone from closed and the company refused to refund the money. I am so disappointed in this company - I've been a customer for 9 years and im leaving after this scandalous transaction. I hate getting ripped off!

I went with T-mobile to get my phones I was told they have no contract. I am so sorry I ever went to them. I was told I could pay off my two phones early but if you pay them off early you still have for the plan that you have for the 24 months they have on your phone but they say they don't have any contract. I asked if I could have my payment date pushed back two weeks as I am on Social Security and that's when I get my check. They never told me they were going to charge me $70 for two weeks to push the payment back. When I called and asked them what the $70 was for they lied to me and said the equipment went up. I am paying $192.88 for two phones a month that's ridiculous and that's with me turning in my iPhone 11. Don't sign any papers if you're going to get a phone with them make sure you have the money to pay it off right away. They lie right to your face tell you what you want to hear once you sign papers they have you I hope they all go to hell.
Tip for consumers:
How much do salesman lie to get a commission how much they don’t tell you is the truth and then you have signed papers and they have you you gotta go by what you sign the paper on read the small print bring it to somebody so they can read it to you go over it before you sign it.

I closed my account yet they continued to auto charge my account. I called and requested a refund on the 4 months overpaid and they refuse to refund any of the payments. Said there was no documentation that the account t was closed even though I called, ported my numbers and went into the store and cancelled the account. I would NEVER go back to t mobile.
Tip for consumers:
They made the mistake but refused to refund what they overcharged.

T mobile is the worst phone carrier, they lie to you over the phone, they got me to change my plan to a higher plan at a supposedly discounted rate, but when I got my bill it was $185 instead of the $115 they quoted me over the phone. When I called customer service I was on the phone for hours and they kept transferring me all over the place. I've been with them for years but I think it's time to finally move on!

We purchased 2 lines under business plan. They had me go to the store 3 times during the covid lockdown to fix the issue. Guess what? They never fixed it. I had to check my bill every single month to make sure they don't overcharge me for accessories. I finally got fed up and decided to transfer my lines into a personal account hoping that would fix things. I went yo T-Mobile store and they had me payoff my phones purchased under payment plan before they could move my lines into personal account. I paid off the phones and only then they told me that they won't reinstate the promotion because they were already paid off. Basically they charged me $1000 on two phones by removing the promotion. I called in 7 times and I was always told they would call me back but they never did. Be careful if you set your bills on auto payment or if they tell you they would remove the promotion temporarily.

Explained I was terminating my account. Was told to pay $666 which I did. Now I have a bill for $164 even though I had paid the amount I was told to pay. Regardless T-Mobile will charge you for another payment even though I had paid for everything. T-Mobile claims I owe it based on their fine print and that they don't have a resolution department. If I don't pay they a sending me to bill collectors.

I was client at Tmobile for more than 5 years.
I used manytimes the international call option with $15 per month and never had problems until last month where T mobile want to charge me unfairly $1265 for last month, February 2023, instead $55 my regular payment plus $15 for the international option call.
I called Tmobile to have international call option for just one or two weeks to call my family in France and will pay only $15/month. The T mobile was agreed because it still have this option.
I used only for less than 10 days then I called Tmobile to restrict my line for just national call they said alright.
One moth later, Tmobile charged me $ 1265 for the 10 days of calls that should be free.
I tried manytimes to resolve this problem with them but unfortunately it doesn't work.
My line is interrupted now.
I don't believe anymore that Operator because it cheated on me.
The Costumers are awful!

I had an insurance claim on my Gflip phone. Had been to another location in Wichita Falls, TX, and, while, granted it was a weekend, the personnel there were less than helpful. I went to the store on Central Freeway, today (Monday), was greeted cordially by staff, and was waited on by Logan, who was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My data transfer was smooth, and Logan even went the extra mile to assist me in downloading a couple of sites I had asked about. It was a very pleasant experience. I had a couple questions for Mr. Elrond, i believe his name is, and he was happy to answer my questions. Again, I had a very positive experience at the Central Freeway location.

T-Mobile service is the worst. Their sales team is very quick/fast to trap the customers but their service team is horrible. First, they overcharged me on the billing amount. Then, I cancelled my service but they still sent me a bill. I had to be on call with them for 3 hours and provided all the evidence with their email confirmation of the cancellation of the service. They removed my bill but after 2 months, I get another bill with interest charge. I called them up again and now they are asking me to go to a t-mobile store to provide all the details.

I changed to t-mobile hoping for better cellular service and data... I regret every minute considering t-mobile claims they are the best with the best coverage "WRONG", it's the worst coverage possible. I have called customer support and tech services on multiple occasions and get the same response every time. The 5G is the worst garbage promotional bs I have ever encountered, it royally sucks! No data 95% of the time, I drop call continuously. Had I known about this carrier, I would have never signed up. BTW. I have even tried switching to 4 different phones hoping it was the phone...nope not the phones, it's the service!

Hello,
I have a complaint against Terry Communications which is a mobile dealer and unfortuantely made me purchase a product of 500$. After purchase of the handset, I found no warranty or no official card inside the box. I was suspicious, and contacted the office but they refused to hear my complaint. I then realised they were selling second hand sets. This must be really complained, and I even approached the http://consumerboard.org. I hope my complaint would be accepted and addressed.
Thanks
