“They are very good at apologizing!”

Kristy S.
2/27/15

I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.

Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.

T-Mobile will promise you they will pay off your phones but they actually give you gift card that you have to buy things with. Their service was less than 5G but they tell you the phones you have don't work with 5 G when you know you had it with previous carrier. Then when you want to cancel your service and go back to previous carrier they tell you over and over that you have to wait. After waiting the year and paying off the phones you have they still tell you have to wait longer. We have been paying a bill for the paid off phones and no service for months and they still won't cancel my account and give me back the 344.00 back that they have been taking out of my account for months. I have called for months and ask for a supervisor and they keep hanging up on me. AVOID THEM.

Their customer service is horrible! They out-source their representatives. Which is "THE MOST PAINFUL" experience EVER! I recently purchased a new phone. "ALL" I wanted to know is the date that it was purchased. You would have thought that I asked them something difficult! I was placed on hold multiple times and asked the hardest question "EVER"… a 2 minute conversation took 20 minutes because of the communication barrier. That is NOT the only time this happened! This is just the FIRST time I have said anything. I try my hardest to be patient and understanding, however, I have had it! I'm about ready to change services! Hopefully not ALL phone companies have HORRIBLE customer service. In-store is good. However, they can ONLY do so munch. UNFORTUNATELY! GRRRR!

I had a iPhone 6S plus and I traded it for a iPhone 7 and I bought a iPhone 7 plus too. But about a month ago, I happened to realize that my account has been credited with the charges for the phone that I traded too. So it all summed up for three phones. So, I complained this to (T mobile) 3000 N Rock Rd, Wichita, KS ******* recently, they got my number a few weeks ago and told me that they would call tomorrow but no action was taken... I'm in a T mobile family package of 5 people and even they all got confused with the extra charges that was in the account and I had to pay in-vain money on a phone that I even don't have any longer. I'm really disappointed at your irresponsible service.
I am now planing to take an action legally.

A T-Mobile sales person offered $200 per line if I switched from ATT to T-Mobile. I switched 3 phones for my family. When the $600 did not come, I called T-Mobile 3 times. Twice they said it would come after my 3rd bill, the third time they said the offer did not apply to switching from ATT, only other cell phone companies. They would not stand behind the offer made by sales

I used to have a T-Mobile mobile internet device, and it always worked great. So last year, I switched to an expensive cell phone plan with tethering. At first, it worked fine, too, but since then, it's gotten slower and slower. It cuts out at random times all day. I did a speed test and got. 98 mbps download /. 52 mbps upload. T-Mobile is so terrible now that simple photos take all day to upload or just freeze and stop. The service is almost non-existent at certain times of day. I shouldn't be throttled, either, because I never come close to the data limit I pay for. Plus, I live close to a place that hosts music concerts. When there is a concert, T-Mobile basically stops. I pay a lot of money for internet that feels as slow as the dial-up I had in the early 00's. T-Mobile is horrible.

Tip for consumers:
It would have been helpful to know just how bad the T-Mobile internet was going to be before I signed up. There's a tower really close to my house and it used to work, now it doesn't.

Worst, Horrible, Cold blooded, trained to lie, Nightmare, king of liers.
Just moved (April 2022) to T-Mobile from At&t. I cannot believe they have whole army of liers from the Store to the Customer Service to 1,2 and 3 tier management. Liers, Liers, Liers. They doubled my bill compared to At&t, started from the store in Los angeles, Girl Name (Cristina Gonzalez). She said yes to everything and made me move toT-Mobile. Please don't go with T-Mobile.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. T-Mobile claims to be one of "the best" providers but I pay $300 or more a month, for mine and my husband's phones, but we have no service, unless we are connected to WiFi. Never had this problem with Sprint and I wish they would have NEVER merged. Save your money! Go ANYWHERE else!

Went into a T-Mobile store in Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee Illinois. Talk to a nice gentleman named Taylor that ended up being a scam artist a liar. I walked out of T-Mobile store thinking my bill would be $175 ended up being $250 for the first two months then it went all the way up to $375 for the last four months in today. I'm ending my T-Mobile contracts find the phones out and saying I won't back to Verizon.

Apple had to run diagnostics on my NEW phone & call t mobile 4me to just get me help & again I had to reset my network settings again just now with full bars bc nothing worked this IS absolutely ridiculous! Add insult to injury the local store argued with me about reception & said a$20 fee applied to payment arrangements etc …

What can I say? Been a customer for at least 5 years… day I get arrested, I find out T-Mobile helped the police by deleting specific txt/call logs from my account that could've proved my innocence! Giving the police any info they need is one thing but assisting with DELETING info is pretty shady, don't you think? When I called and confronted the issue,I was being connected to several different people cause no one wanted to address my concerns or maybe they just didn't know how? Only response that was provided to me was to contact Apple to get records. Well Apple doesn't have any control over my actual T-MOBILE PHONE RECORDS…but thx for all the help. Wow…. Either way, they're completely untrustworthy and very misleading. I will be switching to Verizon. I just don't know how you can get away with that or let the police coax you somehow into doing this favor for them. That was my innocence you took from me.

I'm not mad at all… just thought they would look out for me more than that.

Don’t trust them.

I haven't had a problem going to the Tmobile store in Mooresville NC. They were very helpful. Last month on May 28 I called to cancel my service and they said ok no problem. A few days past and phone was still on and I called again that Tuesday and she told me they scheduled to cut it off on June 22. I said why when I cancelled it on May 28. She said that she would prorate my bill for the few days and I could pay that bill. Still did not cut phone off. My husband calls and then they said you are paid in full until June 22 and we didn't owe any money. I get a bill yesterday saying we owe $178.00 plus late charges! What? How does that happen. So we called today and they said we owe that money! They suck and no one knows what they are talking about. Do not and I repeat do not get Tmobile service! Very dissatisfied!

We ordered 2 T-Mobile phones in December that we were going to give our children for Christmas. As I looked around, I found Verizon had a better deal, so I called T-Mobile and gave them the opportunity to match the Verizon deal. They would not, so I requested the return information, and sent the phones back to T-Mobile using their label. I ended service with T-Mobile and switched to Verizon. In March I began receiving emails that I owed $1513. 99. I have called them at least 7 times. During the first 5 calls I was told the box was on the dock (it apparently sat there for 3 months). The only reason I got that far is because I kept the shipping receipt. During the next 2 calls they told me the phones were missing. They have the IMEI number. They can locate the phones is they are turned on. They can shut down the phones if they are turned on. THIS COMPANY LIES.

On June 6,2023 I ask about transferring services from AT&T to Tmobile. I ask them If they would be able to payoff current wireless installment and keep phone numbers and devices. The sales representative said yes. The rest of the sale was switch from chat to phone call. After the order was place, I found out they do not pay for the installments so I called numerous times to cancel. I eventually had to go into a Tmobile store to reset my pin while on the phone with customer services on June 15 2023 at 6:00pm central time. The call ID was *******. I was charge on June 26,2023 a total of $255.00, I call customer service again and they told me the charge is valid and my account is locked. This is a complete scam. I filed a BBB and FTC, hopefully they will receive enough to file a class action suit because what they are doing is unethical and really bad business. I will continue to call and go into every store and gather all documentation in case I need to file a law suit.

T-mobile would not release my phones after I paid for them. They changed my contract without permission, then when I replaced the phones 3 months later after 3 attempts to get them to unlock the phones, and 3 months with zero communication they "claimed" they released the phones because I gave it away because I gave it to someone on their network. Phones still aren't released.

I has awakened to a disconnected cell line do to none payment. Billing new billing date on the 19th, disconnected on the 22nd.
On line it said pay $97.10 pass due. I paid it. After payment to restore is $197.28 to restore. I'm in a hardship during this pandemic but TMobile doesn't waive any fees and now are forcing a payments agreement that I cannot afford.

I am a transfer from ATT and before that had Verizion. I'm over 65 so I have some experience (I think)
My first experience with T-Mobile was over the internet, we had problems with setup/transfer and tech made a point of calling me back personally so I didn't have to keep explaining issues. Determined might be my old phone and signal strength, so suggested I might go to my local store.
Since it was a new service for me, was given a free new phone Galaxy S23 and CellSpot@ $25 one time chg. I live in the mountains and everything has been working perfectly too include going to the coast.
I got their top of line service and it was less then paid at prior providers and cost was/is exactly as quoted. I give T-Mobile a 10+

On 3rd phone, from T Garbage. Dropped calls, loss of Wi Fi, text don't go thru, tower trouble, don't receive calls need I go on? Was told I would get a new phone they understand but then changed their decision on another phone. Absolute terrible customer service. STAY AWAY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, just hope I don't have a emergency and can't make a call. The local store knows my issues but can't do anything without email from someone from corporate. Can't stand this company, will never recommend to anyone. Doesn't matter what area I'm in always problems.

T-Mobile has lost another customer, due to Overcharging, Broken Promises, Poor Customer Service and A Senior shouldn't be treated this way... Nobody should! Charged me for $105- for back copies of my own bills, then did not send anywhere near what I paid for, an hour on phone, 6 times on hold, finally Supervisor Lexy said within 24 hrs it'd be resolved... It wasn't, its not, and T-Mobile's not caring just cost me more $$$ than you can imagine. Shame on you, Angelo & Lexy.

I placed an order via phone for 4 new iPhones. This was a month before Christmas. It included switching plans and took 3 hours! I left the phone call knowing 4 phones were ordered. I only received two. When I called to follow up about the deliveries, they tell me only two were ordered! So, now we have to order the additional two but since they screwed up, we have to jump through hoops to get the same promotion we were offered during the original order and now they say we don't have enough credit established for the final phone! WTF? We did have the credit when we originally placed the order! This is how they treat customers who have been customers for over 20 years! Save yourself some energy and switch to someone who cares...
