T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
Today I made the costly error of switching from Verizon to T-Mobile. The "sales" representative told me (which I recorded), that my existing balance for my phone would be paid for through T-Mobile. I was also told, "All you have to do is go to our promotions site, and enter what you owe with an actual image from Verizon. We'll then reimburse you up to $800."
I discovered AFTER I signed up that I have the pay off the phone FIRST, and submit a receipt and THEN they will reimburse me! Please don't fall for these purposeful omissions from their shady process! I wouldn't have signed up had I known how corrupt their business model is.

I live in Easy Bay and Work in San Francisco, 99% of the time Internet is very slow slow (less than 1 mbps both upload and download). At 70% of the places (In Bay area Silicon valley, San Francisco Are) you won't even have the internet connection. I switched to tmobile for a 4 for $120 plan. And I ended up paying more than $220 (basic charges) month for four months. After paying those bills for 4 months, now I am getting out of it. Call quality is average. Their international plans will cost your paychecks (When you are calling to the countries that are in their list). Over all it is a ripoff, you will end up paying the most for the poor quality of service and customer support.

I was trying to upgrade my phone service; I had sprint prior. I was told that I didn't have any upgrades now through T-Mobile which I was okay with and I had to special order the gold iPhone 14 Pro in Gold. UPS lost the phone and it has been a nightmare trying to get a new one. I do not want to deal with UPS again and no store in Houston carries the Gold color in stock. You would think with such a large carrier they would have more availability in stock. SMH...T-Mobile you need to do better.

Changed to T Mobile service via phone sales. NEVER AGAIN! I took precise notes as to the plan cost, benefits, phone trade in value and added perks. I felt good about the purchase until I got the phone and the numerous emails after. One email was about the trade on value of my phone -NOTHING LIKE I WAS QUOTED! I pushed back and was told to disregard that email. I don't trust them at all at this point. The cost of the new phone and plan was different each time I spoke to another rep (3 total). Plus it turns out I didn't qualify for any of the perks that in my mind would offset my costs!
ONCE AGAIN phone companies financially penalize single line account holders!

If I could give T-Mobile less than 1 star, I would. Customer service, who they call experts, are FAR from experts, they are incompetent and rude. When they can't answer a question, they hang up on you. I had service activated for 2 days and canceled and returned all merchandise and NEVER used one minute of their phone plans or data and they are still billing me for service never used. I've spent 15+ hours on the phone with the "experts" just to try to get them to CANCEL my account and never mail me anything again and they can't even do that! AT&T, whom I've had for 20 years is definitely 3 times the amount of T-Mobile, but they can at least answer a question.

I've been using Mint mobile for a while but the service in my area wasn't great so I decided to try TMobile. Their service is flawless but GOSH it's been a rough ride. I call on the weekend when I get my new sim in the mail (my previous carrier used esim but TMobile decided my phone actually couldn't support that, who knew?) and right away notice I got a temporary number instead of the number I gave them online. Weird. I call TMobile, give them all my Mint information again and they say I'll hear back in 24 hours. Two days later I call back and lo and behold my transfer was lever set up. So person 2 helps me do all the same stuff again, great. Well they mistyped my number and ported over the wrong one. So I call lucky person 3 who can no longer do what they need to because of 2's mistake. 2 hours later I'm told I should be good to go. The INSTANT I hang up I get a call saying they're having some trouble and need me to call them again. God help person number 4.

I called T-Mobile to see what kind of prices they have and the customer service lady was being very raciest and kept saying you people and that's how we can tell you apart and it's just bc I didn't give her my SS# and I didn't need it to set up my noncontract service. I was very disrespectful of her. She didn't need my SS# bc I setup an account without one. The service itself is great but customer service is horrible

T-Mobile is the biggest liar and cheater who use the client to get extra money
Every time they add on services with no requests, charge international call which never occurred and every time you talk to the customer service If is they tell you different thing.
Do not trust T-Mobile. I've been with them for a long time and I paid enough Nonsense fees, an add-on to this ripoff company but now it's time to go out of T-Mobile.
We will do a class action lawsuit and put you down. You abusing your client who trust you and there are enough evidence to proof. Shame on you.
Please be smart and stay away from Tmobike or if you are with them open your eyes have a print bill every month and monitor all your bill closely because you are dealing with ripoff company.

We purchased a plan with T-Mobile, and a BOGO on new phones. They showed us a map of their area, which showed a large area of reception including where we live. However, we had no reception at home, and poor reception anywhere outside the city. When we went back they recommended a signal booster. We ordered that and waited. It never came. When we went back they said, it didn't get ordered, and reordered it. Again, nothing arrived. We went back to cancel they plan and return the phones. They said, we just missed the cancellation period and they refused to work with us. They refused a return on the phones and billed us the full price for both phones.
They knew we wouldn't get reception and kept stringing us along until we were past they return policy date. They are a scam!
Tip for consumers:
Some of their stores are contract sellers. If you work with a contract seller the T-Mobile main store will not work with you.

I had Sprint for 20 yrs however it's now T-mobile now, I can't get service in my house or many other places. I have a Note 9 but they are telling me my ph is no longer compatible but they let me insure this ph for years. My question is why wasn't I notified that I have insurance on a ph that is not compatible anymore but Sprint would've value me as a long time customer but T-mobile is giving me a hard time however it's time I move on to another carrier
Tip for consumers:
If You are not valued after 20 yrs of service it's time you move on to another carrier that cares

I have been loyal to t mobile since the first opened. I presently have 4 phone lines and I have paid full price for every phone... well they offered a buy one phone get one free... and they said that I couldn't take advantage of the offer unless I opened up another line! ----- why would I open up another line? So I can have 5 phones with crappie coverage! We put up with the poor coverage, so that we can be kicked to the curb!

Expecting BMW performance from a Prius? If You have T-Mobile, you now what I'm talking about. Behind the flashy adds and Pink facade, there's just a low cost, low performing service. Appropriately named...(T)errible Mobile with 5G (5x the Grief).

Much to my regret I am a new T-Mobile Customer, when I signed up the T-Mobile, customer rep., indicated I would get a $500.00 credit for my Apple 6s toward a new Apple 11/new customer promotion.
After being told 6 times by T-Mobile customer reps., I would get the promotion/$500.00, it is still not credited on my bill after 2 1/2 months of being a new customer, in fact I am now being told there never was a promotion of that nature.
DISGUSTING!

After repeated visits to store in Elkhart and numerous phone calls to T-Mobile in Elkhart and to T-Mobile customer service we are unable to get the program they offered us. We were to get two free phones with the trade ins we gave them and pay $70.00 plus fees for the service. We have been paying $146.00 per month. When we questioned them about it, they said it is normal for it to take a couple of months to recieve the credit for our phones. That was 4 months ago.

Make sure what they tell you is in writing

I switched over to T-Mobile from ATT due to continuing increases of ATT service on May 6,2020. At that time I was told by the "Port-in Dept" that I would be able to keep my original number for my two phone lines and the watch paired to one of the phones. I was also told T-mobile would handle everything and cancel the existing service with ATT when the phones were transferred and the watch paired. What happened was initially my numbers were changed. Finally that was resolved. Now I find out my watch service was never stopped as I was told, even though T-mobile charged me for the watch service. So ATT has continued to charge me for a service that I was told by T-mobile was stopped. Now T mobile only response is I'm sorry, I don't know why the watch was never correctly "ported" But we cant do anything about the bill cause by their incompetence.

Went to one of their stores to switch phone plans to them and they said that with the plan I choose I would get same benefit as my old, but this turns out to be false and gave me a $200 extra charge for international calls which I made clear I did when I change plans to them. I went to physical store to get some answers I was told by the store that they should be able to charge me for their international rate since it was just a mistake as I just switched to them and was told everything above and to call a 611 customer service number. But when I called they said that they could not do that and that I am just stuck paying the extra $200 and that I should have made it clear when I change company es and changed to them but it was their representatives at a physical store that gave me wrong information! Terrible business practice and almost fraudulent practices with retail store saying something completely different than customer service. This company will scam you if you switch to them. Use a different carrier!

Dont Buy anything from this company. They are rip off artists. They fraudulently charged me $227.00 I would never do business with this company. I have paid my bill the entire time and needed to return a home internet unit which was suppose to be the $227.00 charge which took a act of GOD to get to them after repeated calls visits. Please pass this along. I will be a on a crusade to every customer NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
