T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Very rarely do I get the answer from someone with common sense who understands and satisfactorily resolves the problem I'm calling about.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use T-mobile.

T mobile is the worst phone company ever. Stayed with them for 8 months before switching back to Verizon (who I am very happy with). I had no cell phone service due to the local cell tower in my area for over a month due to repairs which we were not notified nor received a credit for due to not have phone usage. The service is lousy, experienced spotty connections with a lot of dropped calls. I have also paid hundreds of dollars over in monthly charges due to there customers service people not updating each time I called...so they kept charging me additional money because they kept telling me that I was changing the payment date each month so on top of the regular bill they were charging me an additional fee for it. I had enough of them so I paid off my phones that I purchased with them and closed out my bill...its been almost 3 months and I am still waiting for a credit of $92.00. I don't think I will ever see that either...they are rip offs...don't do it! I really would rate the a '0' only I had to select a star in order to leave a review.

This past weekend (April 28,2023) I went to return a T-Mobile phone (sent to me by mistake) to the bricks and mortar T-Mobile center on Rt. 11, according to telephone instructions received from a live T-Mobile customer service representative. I told the clerk why I was there and he disappeared to speak to his manager. He came back and said they "don't get involved in that." He gave me two identical mailing labels for two different phones (I am expecting problems about this, too) and I said that I didn't want to do it that way, that I wanted to leave the T-Mobile phones with a service center to insure T-Mobile has them. He disappeared again, this time for a longer time, and came back to tell me they wouldn't do it. I said, "You're refusing to accept a T-Mobile device at a T-Mobile center?" and he said, "Yes." At no time did the manager appear, though there was only one other couple in the store being helped by a different clerk, and the place was otherwise empty of customers. The friend who was with me remarked on the rudeness expressed by the clerk and said he was surprised I kept my temper. He also expressed surprise that the manager stayed hidden in an office that was so close he could obviously hear he had a customer with a significant issue that was definitely not resolved to my satisfaction, and that the clerk needed reprimanding or at least retraining.
Tip for consumers:
Customer service personnel was rude and humiliating. Manager refused to do their job. My reasonable request was refused.

The worst experience I've ever had in my entire life of 47 years one of two lines and home internet which was two free phones 3 hours on the phone with the first guy on the first day and then countless hours from day one day four day 20 still don't have my phone or Internet straightened out was lied to by managers by customer service was promised this that and the other one person says one thing another person says another thing so if you choose T-Mobile may the Lord look over you because they will hustle you they will take money from your account that they don't tell you about I would advise any other phone company than T-Mobile by far the worst experience I've ever been in liars and hustlers is all they are

Tmobile is an AWFUL company! They lie and no one is able to tell you the same things twice. My phone was stolen and I wanted to use my insurance to get another device, but since my device was cancelled paid for I didn't have coverage. THEY TOOK IT OFF WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! So eventually they sent me another phone. I then sent the broken phone in and now they are charging me for the refurbished phone $500. They NEVER said anything about charging me for the replacement device.
If you can go anywhere else PLEASE GO! Because at Tmobile it goes from sugar to $#*! real fast!

This is the worst mobile service I have ever had. I have not had the service 2 months and I have already had to change my sim card, had to trade my garbage phone that they gave me in. Guess what I still have terrible service. I can't even get ahold of the corporate man to tell him his phones and service is a nightmare. Then when I had the sim card updated the representative tells me that Samsung 23 are having trouble with their network. So you gave me garbage. I apsolutly tell anyone and everyone how horrific this service is. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM! Especially if you use your phone for work. Calls don't connect, or they drop after you do connect.

Long story short, the company sucks! I couldn't pay my bill One month after being on time and being with the company for TEN years so I asked for an extra 4days the next month to pay both bills in full and they said no. They wanted to extend me to the day before I wanted to pay which was the day before I was going to get paid. So they wanted to disconnect me and make me pay a reservice fee. Like I've been with the company for TEN damn years and paid! I can't get an extra 4 freaking days. Like sheesh, your going to get your money! So I'm switching to Verizon, better service and company anyway! Doesn't make any since to treat your customers that way.

For the store in Garfield, NJ. I'm going on 3 days with no phone and no answers. The "Help", lol (especially Yurissa, try not to upset her, otherwise she'll refuse to serve you) is very nice (other than this NASTY Yurissa) and I know they want to help. But their work ethic and dedication to solve problems is, um,... less than. The "Experts", lol, are much nicer and want to help but just have no idea. 3 days later no answers. I will have to bite the Verizon $ bullet and pay for the service that doesn't drop calls every other block then can't tell you why for DAYS AND DAYS AND DAYS and get the service my clients deserve.
Tip for consumers:
Too bad your service is awful and customer service (apparently) had no training whatever. 3 days. THREE DAYS! Horrible!

It seems as T-mobile needs to train there techs better in troubleshooting issues. For the past week they have been trying to figure out how to unlock my device from there Network (Phone is Unlocked). Therefore, I cannot transfer my device to another provider. The device itself has no issues nor is there any outstanding balances. All the requirements have been made to do the transfer but yet they say they can not figure out the issue. On my last call with them which was a day ago they informed me that I would have to wait another five days so that they can put in another ticket so they can try to resolve this issue once again. I did ask the tech why it would take so long when they should have all the resources they need after all its locked to their Network. The reply was that they have a different procedure for customers who buy their phones through T-Mobile than those who buy them through a third party which who they still partner with. At some point they will have to be held responsible.

Very Very disapointmened with this company probably the worst phone company I ever ever had. Worst customer service they will not work with you pay them every time I get paid and what i have and it isnt enough come to find out I have been paying for a phone that was shut off a year and half ago my daughter moved I shut off service and she has new number, the old phone cant even make calls, when i asked why I have been charged for this when it was turned offf I got run around have to look into it. It has been I month now and they shut my service off. They owe me 100s of dollars and they have nerve to shut off my service when Im paying them 300 a month when it should only be 120. I would never ever recommend them. I may need to find an attorney and report to better business burrow. I was very happy with cricket got to cricket.

T-Mobile does not honor payment agreements that they make with customers. I am ending my 10 year relationship with the company due to this. They initially agreed to a specific billing amount & 4 months in told me they would no longer honor it even though it was entered by a supervisor. The supervisor named Evan. I spoke with assured me there was no sense in complaining or speaking to anyone else as the would not change this. I have been on autopay for to years so there has never been an issue with me paying my bill. Just recently I spoke with the chat service on 12/2 and they advised that they had adjusted my autopay to take out the $55.50 owed. I then spoke with another supervisor named Ranier because my notifications was still showing the wrong amount being deducted. Ranier assured me that he had fixed the issue and I had nothing to be concerned about, well the Autopay has deducted $85.50 today instead of what was due. I am ending my business relationship with the company as it's been extremely stressful dealing with the dishonesty and after writing to corporate with no response, I know that my business is not valued. So buyers please beware. This is NOT the company I joined 10 years ago. This company does not care about their loyal customers as they no longer need them. I have written to customer affairs weeks ago and have yet to hear any response.

I don't know why people would right bad review on T-Mobile. I've been with him for over 10 years and I've never had a problem but I have unlimited everything and my phone is updated to the new ones every couple years and I only pay 55 a month for all unlimited everything and I've never had a problem so if you ask me it's the people that caused the problem not T-Mobile. Anyway I think T-Mobile is a great company and have great service and I wouldn't change for anything. Thank you T-Mobile for me you are the best.

Was hung up on BY A SUPERVISOR after expressing my extreme frustration with billing issues. Was told 1st month will be billed on June 26th then suddenly i checked it and i was billed for May 26th. 2 seperate customer service reps told me the bill would be due on the 26th of june and this "supervisor" went on to say that no matter what my bill is due on the 26th of May and i could pay it or not but that is the date even after i told her to refer back to my phone call where i was told by 2 reps that my fiest bill would be the 26th of JUNE at which point she hung up on me. Definitely not sticking with Tmobile post pay. No issues whatsoever with prepay. Post pay aims to rob its customers then hang up on them when they tey to address the situation. Don't bother with tmobile post pay unless you like being disrespected

I got my newest phone at the store at 7164 Beverly Blvd. In Los Angeles. That is the only positive thing of the review I have. The reason I have not added any more stars is my recent experience there. I went there for their T-Mobile Tuesday deal. I have been there before and was able to get their free swag within 5 minutes or even less. This time, there was only one person to mind the store. He was busy with another customer. Since the customer and the customer service representative were both Jewish, as this is a predominately Jewish community, I was waiting there for my free swag for 10 minutes before the representative acknowledge my presence and said that he will get to me as soon as he can as he was getting the customer's iPad working. Why didn't he just ask me if he could assist me with the free swag and determine that what I was there for would only take a minute to complete the task? Those 10 minutes could have used to get closer to work. Since I am not Jewish just like his rhythm-less Jewish customer that will never get his own reality show, I guess I was not important enough for him to even say "Hi" to me as I entered the store. Gentiles, you have been warned.

I recently switched from T-Mobil to Xfinity, When I canceled my service I thought I was cancelling my phones and I pads, apparently they only cancelled my phones. I received a bill saying I owed $120.60
I explained that there was no usage on the I pads and that the bill showed that, They DIDN'T CARE!
The supervisor was rude and not willing to work with me. The people at the stores agreed with me that this was not right. I didn't leave T-Mobil in the beginning because I didn't like their service, I simply got a better price with a bundle going with Xfinity. If I didn't like Xfinity I would have gone back to T-Mobil but not anymore. I will be telling all my friends and family about this. I am in customer service and this treatment was unacceptable!

I have been with 'Sprint' now 'T-Mobil" for almost 20 years. They have changed their policy and no longer give the discount for Auto Pay with your Credit Card. This is ridiculous! I have paid my bill ON TIME without a single issue for all of these years. NOW, after 2 hours on the phone with 'customer support' and several supervisors, I find that I must now use a debit card because T-Mobil has 'changed their policy. They don't seem to have any regard for customer longevity or any idea how to take care of long time faithful customers. I am disgusted and sick and tired of dealing with T-Mobil. Why should someone else's problem become my problem! I'm totally sick of T-Mobil. As a courtesy, they gave me my money back...big deal...what a waste of my TIME! I also had an issue with a discount on a new phone that took me EIGHT MONTHS to resolve! There are places where I can't even get service! I'm looking for another company. There are plenty out there. Must be something BETTER than T-Mobil! I'm so done!

BEWARE...of T-Mobile's cutesy magenta on-line map verifying your physical address WILL receive 4G coverage (8 months later 5G) neither of which is TRUE. After 8 months of lies and paying monthly bills for NON-usage, Customer Assistant Brandi specifically wrote, on December 7,2022, 'Regrettably, we cannot guarantee coverage in all areas and all times'. Ironic that 'Brandi's company affiliation proudly boasting of being Customer Experience Obsessed; equating that 'cutesy' title to CEO of the company...choke, choke), Don't bother writing to their Customer Relations address either. After two registered letters with the second requesting the courtesy of a reply, I received NOTHING (other than continuing monthly bills). BEWARE isn't a strong enough warning to avoid a company as corrupt to the core as T-Mobile. I would love to attach ALL pertinent verification of my correspondence with T-Mobile but the fille is overwhelming.
