T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
I had seven T-Mobile home internet devices. Because they errantly billed me over and over again for nine, I returned six of them and kept one phone line open. Six months later they told me I owed them $933 because I failed to return two of them. I returned them all through UPS.
T-Mobile is an abusive company. Frankly, I wish I could meet up with one of the male managers one day and punch him in the face! SO DISGUSTED WITH HORRIBLE TREATMENT OF ME, THEIR CUSTOMER!
THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. THE GREAT NEWS IS, THEY NO LONGER HAVE MY BUSINESS:-)

My family and I tried their service last Dec. 14 but it just didn't work out for us so we decided to discontinue the service and return the devices. We were in the 14 day window wherein you can return devices and discontinue service and have all your money refunded except for the prorated days where you used the service. Today is Feb. 15 I have been calling their customer service since Dec and up to now I haven't received my refund of more or less $1000. I am more than pissed and fuming mad because I have more important things to do than dialing the phone and talking to customer reps and being handed from one dept to the next without getting a definite response. It sucks! From the last call, they can't even tell me a definite date when will I get my refund. I am moving to legal actions 'cause 2 months wait time is very unreasonable. According to the last call, they're all backed up and all that. Hey, why do you keep on inviting customers to use your service if you can't even work with pace of addressing customer issues. So disappointed. Im so glad that as much as they record the phone conversations, I did record too at my end for moments like this. I knew it!

I had Sprint for about 20 years before T-Mobile merger. I have experienced a lag in reception, cutting off, clients not hearing me on the other end, waiting forever for the outgoing calls to be connected, along with not receiving voicemails in a timely manner. Called to see how the issue could be corrected. The rep started reading the script, telling me from time to time not to worry, then started advertising different deals and promotions. She said while we are waiting for tech support she would like to talk to me about sim cards. I have informed the rep that my time was very limited, she continued with promotion and then told me she would set me up with Sim cards. I explained I don't have time, and that I just wanted to try and fix an issue. Never got transferred to tech support. Could not wait any longer, so I hung up the phone. Would appreciate the respect given to my time. All I needed was to try and fix the issue. Ended up wasting time, issue not fixed. Frustrated. Poor service all around! Not sure if I'll stay with TMobile.

Due to the ineffectual auto pay system of T mobile that keeps claiming that my billing address is incorrect and that it's my bank's fault monthly payments are declined; whereas RBC BANK says T-mobile hadn't completed their transactions; all this over the period of the last four months. I just can't deal with the fallout of T-mibile's dysfunctional auto pay system any longer.

Ok why I give them one star. I am a struggling senior. Prices are high on everything so when I started out to lower my bills I called T-Mobile. I was told I could get better service for $15 versus the $35 I am now paying $70 for me and my wife.on the so-called senior plan. I find out from a friend I can get the same service with more data for $15. So I call T-Mobile and ask them about that plan. I talked to 3 different T-Mobile employees on different levels from Nashville to Cincinnati. I asked about the $15 plan my friend told me about and they all acted confused and told me there is no such plan. Then today I read about it online. $15 for prepaid for 3GBs and unlimited text and phone. I called my local T-Mobile store and they acted like they had never heard of it. Then when I told them I'm looking at it right now online the guy says oh you mean our prepaid plan for $15. So there's prepaid and post paid. I assumed I was already paying up front. Tricky tricky. On the senior plan for two people I was getting 5 GBs to share with my wife. Now I'm going to get 3GBs to myself. And she will g we the same. Shame on T-Mobile for being deceptive with senior citizens. I was never offered prepaid service. I hate deception but now that I know what's going on I am staying with T-Mobile since I never have problems with the actual service. So T-Mobile gets one star from me until I'm happy again.

Now t-mobile is the absolute worst I have a 5g phone I pay for "magenta max" for which I'm supposed to have unlimited 5g service. My 5g used to work flawlessly, then they did whatever they did a few months ago then in the right corner of my phone it would show 5g UC.
With 5gUC my phone was unusable and that is the only service I could use. So now I've had to download an app. To force my phone to only use lte service just to be able to use my top of the line phone.
Whenever I go to the app to contact them about that or anything else I'm lucky if I can even get my info to load on both the app. Or website.
And if I do get through to anyone when I literally have half a day to waste, all they do is tell me to "sign out and in again" and then they "assure you, everything will work fine now" which it doesn't. It is exactly the same bs it's been for months now.
Then you gotta go back and do it all over again with a new rep. That with read the same prompt and you'll get the same results until eventually they will break you and you'll just give up or they will not respond to your inquiries.
I don't know if they can see it or not but t-mobile is quickly becoming a dumpster fire that is sure to blaze out of control until eventually there is nothing left to burn.
I have been a t-mobile customer for more than 10 yrs and I've had enough of your crap. You guys bought sprint to try and control the game but I think you just wanted company as you fade in to oblivion. F U I'm out.

Worst ever, employees do a ripoff not explaining none of their offers or details of their packages. Got a prepaid card, payed 3 months in advance to keep the line active, cause I'll be out of the US (no one told me I won't be able to receive SMS nor calls and the line will be dead), so those 3 months in advance payment is wasted as the line is inactive but payed for. When I called them, they told me to upgrade to 40$ plan to just be able to receive SMS to the line, and calls if any. I told them I just need the line active, and I payed in advance cause T-Mobile guess what - receiving payments from cards issued only from certain countries and my home country isn't the one. I told them, I'm outside of the US, payed in advance to have the line active - none informed me of additional minimum charge for prepaid roaming, and I can't upgrade my plan as the card I have isn't from one of 15 countries which is accepted. Money wasted time wasted stress from dealing with thiefs. Zero zero zero stars, do not get anything from this ripoff and their uninterested staff - worst experience in Seattle and Chicago! Philippinos on the call center are friendly, however talking much and zero helpful as their company is - ZERO!

In November 2021, I traded-in 3 phones (family plan) for a total trade-in value of $2400 ($800 each) at T-mobile. T-mobile promised to return the $2400 in the form of a one time credit and further credits spread over 30 months. However, I have had to call in dozens of time spending close to 50 hours on the phone with them to get the credits. Each time, I'm promised a refund only to see a small partial credit. Each time, I argue with the company to honor the contract, I'm assured a refund of the payments due.
After I filed a on the phone complaint with the FCC, t-mobile now tells me they will honor the trade in credit but start the 30 month cycle 13 months after the original contract date. They are not willing to give in writing Tbey abrogated the contract.
Given this is affecting thousands of customers, it is possible T-mobile swindles customers of a couple of billion $ every year.
If we get more than 40 customers willing to go to court, we could file a class action lawsuit against T-mobile?

I transferred my mobile service to a new provider - T Mobile were charging me $68.00 a month with $5.00 off for auto pay. I found a Boost Mobile SIM card at Target for $14.99 for three months unlimited calls and texts and 5 GB data. When I did the transfer, it was one day after the beginning of a new billing cycle. Not only no one informed me of that but I was explicitly told by the rep that I will be only charged for one day. I am going to dispute that last upcoming charge of $73.00 for one of service because no one told me and because I was left without service for two days during transferring of my account, waiting on hold, calls dropping and no one calling me back. Of course when I initially called to cancel my account, I was offered a gazzilon deals and discounts just to stay with TMobile. Since I was firm that I was leaving, I was dropped like hot potato and the next several calls that I had to make to strengthened things out, I was sent to call centers in the Philippines. Never going to recommend T Mobile to anyone! Extremely greedy and complete vultures! Do yourself a favor and choose one of the discounted new companies where you can get a service for about $15 a month!

I have been with T mobile for 17 years I never had a problem, obviously that's why I been with them so long. All the Tmobile experts are very professional and very polite But today on 4/29/22 around 9:30 am I received a Text message my bank account will be charge for $ 322.93 by Tmobile. I was shocked with unusual fee and called Tmobile and requested manager to my surprise the manager name Cadice was extremely Rude and seems like she is having horrible day. She was very aggressive and yelling at me to the point I couldn't believe my ears. She told me I don't really have option but to deal with my problem and hang up the phone on me! I sat in my office frozen in disbelieve. I called back again minutes later requested manager to explain the misunderstanding but I came across with the manager name judy and expert name jc. There were Amazing. They figured it was technically issue and were able to refund my money. They were polite and professional. I really think Tmobile should train customer service and how to keep your personal issues at home and be professional at all times to the manager Candice prior to giving her position as a manager! Lessons really needed!

We have had a terrible experience with T-Mobile recently. We had been with T-Mobile for 8 years and when we moved to a new city we couldn't get cellular service in our home. So, we had to switch providers. We called them to ask how much cancelling our service would cost and they quoted us $X; so we cancelled and paid that. Now 6 months later out of the blue, they are telling us that we owe an additional $169. They failed to mention this when we first called about cancelling or any of the 3 or 4 times we called them since to find out why they were still billing us for the monthly plan even after we cancelled. They have admitted that they failed to properly notify us at the beginning about the extra $169, but they won't do anything about this. We were initially misled; then later neglected and they will do nothing to make amends for their errors. We are in the middle of disputing this and they sent it to collections just days after sending us the first notice. It feels like we are being bullied by this large corporation which is hiding behind it's terrible customer service who did nothing to help us. Beware the accuracy of the information and support you will get from T-Mobile!

The constantly try to rip you off first on the warranty with their phones or when it's a manufactured defect and they try to claim it's your fault then don't be a fool and go on their auto pay because they'll try to take money out of your account when you don't authorize it and they double bill you for s*** you've got to watch them. I'm going to leave T-Mobile and I am going elsewhere to get my internet and my YouTube TV and my phone service with three phones this is ridiculous and I'm tired of dealing with T-Mobile and their incompetent BS

I called the tech support 4 and spoke with really dumb people, in other staates, they reset my network and then I could not use my Hotspot for my laptop and my phone would not connect to my car anymore, Those 4 dumb people told me I have to call Samsung because of it, they said my Bluetooth is not working.
VERY WRONG!
Finally I called the 5th time and I had a lady from Texas and she fixed the problem, it was not a Samsung Manufacturing problem.

Their call center would not work with me at all, saying I owe a full payment of $354.20 which is a full payment from Sprint never missed a payment since 2013 being with them I have proof and all records and they will not take in consideration of even having them sent to them to look at them or my bank accounts that they have deposited my money every and each month, so how could I owe them a full payment and they're stating it's from, the month of June June, June, July for one why is there three June's and they're stating it's when they merged 100% with T-mobile which I did not ask for that I don't like to be forced to do something to. They're charging me basically what I feel like to be forced into something, I don't owe this payment they're not even understanding or working with me at all. They're stealing my money is what they're doing. Do not recommend T-mobile at all they're on faithful and honest, unreliable, $#*!s every and each one of them from Sunday to Wednesday each day hours, and hours on the phone with everyone could not get nothing done waste of my time. $#*!s.!

I have been a customer of T-Mobile for 10 years, and my bill with 2 phone lines and very bad internet was 184 a month, so I switched to xfinity, for half that, but my phone number was supposed to switched as well, but T-Mobile took it upon themselves to cancel my phone line before it was transferred and now I have no phone at all, they were supposed to unlock my number, but canceled my line! Horrible customer service, the internet never worked, and I left xfinity the first time around to go with T-Mobile internet bad mistake, but Matt from the T-Mobile store in Howell said they would pay off my cancellation fee from xfinity so when I did get my bill and took it back to Matt he said they can't pay my bill and basically I was sol! Now I have no phone service, xfinity is not open to get my phone working, and I probably lost my phone number I had for 10 years, T-Mobile only cares about ripping you off and making changes to your account without your consent! They are just as bad as ATT
