T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.
When you go to any tmobile store video record the employees what they said. Sometimes they mixed up and when you tried to follow up with what they said they said we have no proof. Also, they give hopes up for 3 months until they tell you im sorry we cant do anything about it. Just a heads up maybe ask them for a proof and let them sign on it for what they said. Always keep a proof for the future. We tried tmobile for the first time before we bring all our families into it. Apparently with what happen to us today loose our hopes and have explain it to all our families in here and hawaii. They are willing to move to another services too. If you want to be with tmobile thats fine but record what they said to you. They have a contract for you to sign and you dont have anything from you to go against them when they mixed up their explanation. Just wanted you to all know it happens to us and we dont want you all to have the same problem and upset about it like we do. Now we are regret of using it cant wait to finish this contract so we can move to another service.

TMobile will promise and advertise great deals, but its all a lie. You will spend hours trying to fix your bill, and they will just make it worse and worse.

They say and promise everything to get you to switch and then once you do they raise the prices in ways you cannot argue. Very bait and switch. Service is not even that good. Sad!

Unfortunately I was given to Tmobile when they bought Sprint. Horrible transition, horrible treatment, horrific Customer service compared to Sprint! I am searching for another company to switch.

I WOULDN'T recommend my dog get T-Mobile service. Y'all take people money and don't give it back. Y'all are the MOST WORSE AND WORTHLESS service provider I ever seen. That's why I'm with a number 1 service provider. Customer service gets a half star. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM T-MOBILE. I rather have a government phone than T-Mobile service or phone. T-Mobile go to hell. If y'all were on fire I would dance around and be happy. DO NOT GET T-MOBILE! STAY AWAY! DANGER DANGER DANGER! I HOPE BY THE GRACE OF GOD YALL DIMINISH LIKE SMOKE IN THE AIR.

During my time using t mobile's 5G, it keeps kicking me off the Wi-Fi, no matter where I am, it's almost impossible to have good Wi-Fi for at least 5 minutes before it's gone again. Do not recommend

I called the 800 number to inquire about switching to T-Mobile from my AT&T service (which is even worse then these guys). I heard that T-mobile is a great company, blah blah. The man on the phone offered me a pretty good deal stating that T-Mobile will pay off my contract with AT&T and I will have wonderful service from here on in. He charged my account 60.00 dollars even before I got off the phone with him for 2 sim cards that he was sending out and all I had to do was put them in my phone and watch? (seriously?). I believed him-ok. I went to the T-Mobile store and the rep couldn't believe what the guy from the 800 number told me. He informed me that I had to pay 800.00 dollars for my phone and 341.00 for my watch up front and then T-Mobile would reimburse me. Not only did I not have the money (I would have had termination fees as well), the man on the phone never mentioned this once. Done Done Done. I am now trying to get my 60.00 refunded and they just refused after being on the phone for an hour. The woman said that the fee was none refundable. Buyer Beware. I am telling my story to any sight that will take my review of this rip off of a company. Don't do it

Phone broke, mgr defect- Samsung flip. Had the insurance- they charged $100 even though it was defect. They sent the wrong phone( they send fold instead of flip)Spent a month trying to get correct one(flip). Finally received flip and sent fold back and have tracking number showing received. Then they say they did not receive the flip back. Well that's because you sent us a fold not a flip. They agree they received the fold. They charge us. For a flip- which of course was never sent because someone screwed up and sent a fold which they received back. 5 months later- hundreds of hours of phone calls weekly and every annoying customer service person and mgr you talk to tells you they see the problem and it will be fixed in 7-10 days. Yet for some reason it's 5 months later. And the same thing repeats again, same conversations same explanation yet no one can seem to fix the issue. They sent the wrong phone but because we didn't send back the one we were supposed to get(because we received fold instead) their computer says it wasn't returned. This is ridiculous and the straw that makes us give up on TMOBILE.as they are beyond incompetent.

I switched my home internet to T-Mobile about 6 months ago.
Somehow, they managed to mess up my account setup and I haven't been able to create a T-Mobile ID to manage my account online.
I contacted their Customer Service via phone twice, talked to a technical support representative once, and even went to the store to get the issue resolved.
I was told that the tech support will be working on it and will let me know once it's fixed.
I haven't heard from them since, and I am still unable to create a T-Mobile ID, so I have been unable to manage my account online nor am i able to redeem the code for $50 credit they provided.
I don't know what I was expecting from a wireless provider/ISP, but it turns out T-Mobile is no different from the other terrible providers.
They have a horrible Customer Service/Tech Support that have no idea what they are doing.
They can't even manage their own system.
If you are considering switching to T-Mobile, don't expect everything to go smoothly.
It will not.

I've been a T-Mobile customer more than 6 years now I have a one plus 9 I had no troubles with it until I did the software update on July 5th 2023 I have call customer care twice in one day for the same problem it's nothing on my end it's nothing on their end it's a software update error they're building to send me out a phone but I will have to pay taxes on that phone and activation fee on that phone when they could just give me a credit for the taxes and the activation free since I've been with him for more than 6 years I paid off multiple devices with them I never been late on my payment I paid 50 bucks a month for a phone that I can't even use their rather Make money on customers then just give me the customer a credit for that amount no they're rather Luke's customers cuz they're not making no money off of it when I could just go to Verizon and get the same thing unlimited talk text and data and a free phone no money out of pocket for 30 bucks a month

This is the worst and most disgusting company in the United States, they have joined Metro and Spring and it is even worse, they charge you in advance even when you have automatic payments, the customer service is terrible, they are rude, they make fun of you, They make you wait for long periods of time, and in the end I do not recommend it to anyone, it is disgusting, the most disgusting thing that exists in national and international telephony

I've been a faithful customer of T-Mabe for a few years lately the service is horrible. People are calling me and texting me and I'm not receiving them and vice versa
Tip for consumers:
I did call tech service. They walked me through trying to fix the problem and then they told me there was problems with towers in my area. That was two or three weeks ago. Still having the same issue. The service sucks

Terrible customer services, I will switch to other company with better reputation and best customer services. Not a teamwork place and at the end is the customer who suffers the consequences.

Back when 2g was a thing, T-Mobile disabled one of the towers in town and were converting it 3g (at least this is what they told me). After that, I had no signal for 90% of my day while living in a major city, where I previously had signal. I called and complained. They sent me some equipment to get better signal in the house. I now had no signal for only 80% of the day! Wow. I called repeatedly and they wouldn't do anything about it, which is breaching the contract by not providing service. So I shut off my account and sent the equipment back through a sanctioned method. A month later, I got a bill for the rest of the contract AND the equipment I returned and they refused to work with me. It's $1245. They continue to post it to my credit too as I will NEVER pay them for this unlawful bill. I hired a lawyer and made one of their third party collectors drop it, which sent it back to TMOBILE, and they sent it to a new collector. So, plan 2, we're going to continue to fight it and tell everyone about T-Mobile's embarrassingly horrible service.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use them. Especially if you want service and don't have the money for a lawyer.

We used Sprint personally for over a decade. We used Sprint for our business for several years. We NEVER had an issue with service or devices. Since the switch to T Mobile, I have to spend an hour or so every few weeks to figure out why my phone cannot receive text messages or phone calls. They lied to me initially, stating that I could keep my paid off Galaxy in the switch. When I went in to get a new sim card, my phone was suddenly no longer compatible with their network, but I could finance a NEW phone! I chose the cheapest option, trading in my 1200 phone for $120 credit toward a BRAND NEW 5G COMPATABLE ONE PLUS PHONE! Since then, I have had constant issues with receiving phone calls meant for my business resulting in an unprofessional image to my vendors and customers and hours of frustration trying to figure out the problem myself while the text chat supporters give me the tech support version of thoughts and prayers.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use T Mobile if you can help it.
