T-Mobile has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,938 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about T-Mobile most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and sim card problems. T-Mobile ranks 240th among Mobile Phones sites.
I've had T-Mobile for 5+ years now and I've found that while mistakes are sometimes made, (usually during ill-advised store visits) their phone based customer service is very good at making up for it. Any time I have called them with an issue they have been very quick to correct it and to give me some kind of compensation or perk to make up for the loss. While the website has had a few issues in the past with user-friendliness, they have made regular improvements over the years that help immensely. If you demand perfection constantly, not the carrier for you, but if you have a tiny bit of patience, they do come through in the long run.
Phones are junk and they then charge you to restock their junk. In store makes a sale and then cant help you with anything and believe me...you WILL have problems. Customer service? Our entire family had TM phones and now are completely disgusted with the "service". Plan on spending hours on the phone as you get put on hold, swapped around, cut off over and over again, and get told something different with every call. Have had constant glitches with the GPS, volume, camera lens etc etc etc. They used to be worth the extra money every month but NO good reasons to stay with them anymore. Steer clear.

They lie to you and say whatever you want to hear to get you to sign up. Once they have you locked in they don't care about you. Sold me a phone that has done nothing but give me problems, only had for two months, one of their lying team told me I could return the phone and would be charged a re-stock fee. Now told no I have to pay off the phone before I can leave this nightmare of a company. On top of everything else getting into there website is mission impossible. Last month had to call just to pay. This month they went up on thier price per month. BEWARE OF T-MOBILE

If you go to T-mobile bring a jar of vasaline and a lawyer. Gave us 2 free phones under a promotion (after we traded in ours) worth almost $2000.00. They billed us and kept telling us it would go off at any time. After 5 months they said we didn't qualify so we would have to pay for the phones. They admitted they lied to us but that is the way it is. Contacted corporate they said the same thing. Yes we lied to you but that is just to bad. Switched to mint mobile no problems. Got a bill from tmobile showing they owe us $75.00 can't get it because 3 months later we can't remember the pin. They have all the info name, number, card # they collected on but that pin is GOD. Calling The State Attorney and see if they can help. Just a bunch of liers and thieves. Go to Mint Mobile, cheaper and better service.

T-mobile does false advertising. They had a promotional offer for their home internet, that if you add a t-mobile home internet, you'd receive a 50 inch 4k Amazon TV, valued at $450. I added t-mobile home internet, applied for the promotion, and was approved to receive the promotional offer, however, t-mobile did not send me the tv. After over 23 hours of phone conversations with different departments of t-mobile's customer service, the t-mobile agent only offered a $260 credit toward my account. I refused the $260 and asked for the tv that I was offered or the $450 value. And t-mobile refused my request. This is false advertising and t-mobile should know better and not treat their customers this way. They should honor what they promised, either the tv or the value of the promotion.

We upgraded our phones to iphone 14. We sent our iphone 11's back to T-mobile with the understanding that we would receive a $200 credit for each phone. They sent us an INSURED UPS label, and I returned them to our UPS store. They made it from Vestal, NY to Syracuse, to Hazlet, TX. And then they vanished! According to UPS all they had was an empty box. They labeled the phones as "damaged'. Ergo, T-mobile would only give us $85 credit per phone. That raised our phone bill $1,152 over 24 months. Now, my thinking is, T-Mobile and UPS are "in bed" together. UPS keeps the phones, we get ripped off. When these phones are paid for, I will no longer deal with T-mobile. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS FOR SHIPPING FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS. If I hadn't I'd have had nothing to prove I sent them back.

I started with T-Mobile in December 2021, and up until November 2023 had no issues whatsoever.
In November 2023 I moved to Canada from the USA and switched my phone services to Telus. Both Telus and myself contacted T-Mobile to have the accounts in the USA closed.
I was given a final bill and paid that thinking everything was now done.
Imagine my surprise almost a year later to see that T-Mobile was still helping itself to my bank account for a tune of $80.00 per month, with a total of just under $1000.00 US.
I contacted T-Mobile and verified that the account was indeed closed mid-November and was told that it would take ten business days for them to respond. Three weeks later I called them as I had heard nothing and even though the evidence was there they offered to only credit me back two months. This was ridiculous and went up the ladder to a "supervisor" that told me the best they can refund my account was $320.00, and that I was LUCKY to get that! I contacted my bank to dispute this further but was stonewalled as T-Mobile assured the bank that the matter was dealt with to the best of their ability. In the end I was blamed by T-Mobile because I did not monitor my account properly.
T-Mobile provided decent service as a mobile carrier, but having their own employees verify that they stole money and are only offering a fraction of that back was beyond anything I could have imagined.
This was an expensive lesson to learn, and I urge EVERYONE to read the fine print and check your bank accounts regularly!

Please check your bank accounts for fraudulent billing!

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, DO NOT USE T-MOBILE! DO NOT USE T-MOBILE! I got the "free" phone last year and it was a cheap pos. I went back into the store and upgraded to a better phone and they offered me a "free" watch with only a $10 monthly line fee. I got the watch to use while driving (bc I have a stick shift). It drooped 95% of my calls. It was useless! I was told to call Customer Service and I could cancel the line. I called. Yep, I can cancel the line BUT now I have to pay $15 a month for a "FREE" watch I can't use! I wanted to pay off my "upgraded" phone and cancel my plan completely! I was told, IN ORDER TO CANCEL MY PLAN, I would have to pay for my upgraded phone, my "FREE" watch, AND my "FREE" phone to the tune of almost $1700! I am on a VERY limited income and I was trying to find a way to cut some of my expenses, but instead of T-mobile caring about their customers all they want to do is suck every penny from us they can! I offered to return all the "free" stuff, but they don't want it back. They just want money. I am STUCK with them (T-MOBILE) for 10 months! When my jail time is up, I WILL NEVER USE T-MOBILE AGAIN! I will post this on every social media platform I can and I will post it

Had the worst experience in 17 years of being a loyal customer T-Mobile customer service are the worst as soon as I pay my product off, which is very soon I'm switching to a company that T-Mobile has no affiliation with worst company I ever dealt with in my life and I only put one star up because it wouldn't let me go any further in this review without selecting a star, which is stupid and they need to change that to negative stars because that's what they deserve a negative star

The T-Mobile store in Hermitage on Lebanon Rd are liars crooks and thieves
The asst mgr Marcus is a lying thief who will tell any lie to get more money.
They tried to charge me 3x the correct restocking fee and force me to an expensive upgrade on an Apple Watch that they lied about the features

Moved to area with better fiber service so canceled my plan with Tmobile. Mailed my hotspot back to them in original packaging and they claim it had damage of $80. That's nothing but wrong since it was working perfectly when mailed once again in the original packaging but of course I had to pay penalty. Just want to help people steer clear of this company

Hello everyone, i feel very disappointed that T-Mobile start had a bad customer service. Not like before when you call 611 you can get Customer on the phone quickly or Automictic said press number 1 call you back or number 2 stay on the line. But at this moment they change their policy and let you wait on the line average 45minutes to 3 hours wait time. I very disappointed and i will stop the T-Mobile services and my family. Will change different provider. This is today date May, 7 2024. Bad Services hope this messages will come to the damn Owner.

DO NOT GO WITH Tmobile! Could not watch the final 4 basketball games this evening because of low to no internet speeds. All buffering, completely freezing up. Live in Myrtle Beach with closest tower in Charleston. Done everything to get best signals plus ethernet connections to the tower. Is Tmobile throttling down or too many people? Regardless will go back to Spectrum. Don't go with Tmobile until they get a stronger signals or get a closer tower, it is a waste of money if you can't watch tv. Which is the implied warranty for a specific purpose. False advertising on Tmobile's part?

I am very very displeased with this company. I was with them from the beginning, my first cellphone. Was mostly satisfied and felt brand loyality -- which was stupid because they felt no loyalty to me. Did absolutley nothing to try to retain my business, no phone upgrade, nothing. Then they charged me a $36 cancellation fee because I switched mid billing cycle. Apparently those were the terms I'd signed up for 20 years ago. I had no idea! Newer customers are not subject to the penalty - but I was punished for cancelling. They would not refund the penalty, not a lick of gratitude. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. Probably none really do - but this felt appauling to be so devalued and subject to penalty. Very sour grapes here.

Tmobile "Upgrade" me with a Rvvl. They said I was upgrading to Revvl phones from and IPhone and a Samsung. They are junk and don't work properly. I have made many calls. All I get is I AM SORRY. We can sell you a new phone. Never go with Tmobile. They do not care about the customers.

My account was overcharged by approx $30 a month for 10 months. T mobile gave me a paltry $30 refund. Spoke to customer service today (Jennifer). Who talked over me the whole time and did not address my real issue. After 5 loyal years I'm switching to consumer cellular. They didn't care when I told them that.

I decided to take advantage of a promotion that was offered to me through my Capital One shopping app. It was a 150 dollar virtual Master Card if I switched to T-Mobile internet. I did so before the promotion expired, then tried to claim my reward. The service rep told me that the promotion had expired in November of last year, which was not true. I even sent a screen shot showing the offer, but they are refusing to honor it. Aside from the promotion issue, it has been one long hassle, with a reduced fee offered to me as a senior citizen, but then being billed a higher amount, and in advance as well although I have only had their internet for two days. I am really disappointed with the whole thing and am considering canceling and keeping my current provider.

They say they have my back as I wait on hold for 39 minutes and can't get through to anyone not even via instant chat which appears to be an option but never connects. I finally gave up. The store can't help me because they said we're still with Sprint, but the can sell me a new phone or upgrade my service. Quite frustrating and laughable. Thinking there's probably something out there better...

It's a very simple phone that will basic feature. So after lot a searching finally set my mind on it. Small phone yet good grip, speakers are loud enough, voice clarity good. Torch is really useful. But battery performance is poor. Apart from this facility, the phone is good.

I have been a loyal customer of T-Mobile for years on their plan for seniors. I have NEVER missed a payment. I use auto pay through my credit card. Now the company that promises price lock guarantee is removing my auto pay discount resulting in a $10 a month increase. So much for price lock. T-Mobile that has had at least two (2) security breaches in the past ( That we know of) and is penalizing me because I choose to protect myself through my credit card security and will not give them my bank account numbers. Imagine that, the company that has had security breaches wants my banking information. Where is T- Mobiles loyalty to the good customers who pay on time.
Get thanked on Tuesday and screwed on payment day. Very disappointed.
The whole price lock & customer care bit is hypocritical.

We moved from Verizon to T-Mobile because of the constant price increases and their nickel and diming. Although we are paying less the service in our area is not as good and now, they are starting to do the same thing Verizon has been doing. The latest is to receive the $10.00 discount for auto pay you can no longer use a credit card, only debit or your checking account. The beginning of death by a thousand cuts!

I have been with T-Mobile for over 11 years. I took my Internet box into the store to be traded in for an upgraded model. Ken and a staff member took the internet box and proceeded to attempt to get me set up with a new Internet box. They failed miserably. I was forced to switch to the new box due the fact that my old one was on a business account. They were unable to switch it to my personal account. I was given three internet boxes, and none would work until the last which I finally had to call 611 and receive help setting it up myself. Long story short, I received a notice in the mail yesterday stating that I owed over $400.00 to T-Mobile on the original box which I returned to the T-Mobile in Canon City. They have refused to take accountability for the not returning the box. They have no records of anything. The store claims it was not returned. I contacted Ken at T-Mobile who was supposed to call me back. He has yet to do so. I have found Ken to be lazy and not interested in helping customers unless it is forced upon him. He is always in his office nearly every time I have been in the store. Statements have been made by employees as well as other customers about the situation and upper management refuses to see how this person is incapable of managing a store. I have paid the $400.00 to keep it from going to collections. I will be moving from T-Mobile because the management (Ken) and staff at T-Mobile in Canon City are incapable of doing nearly anything correctly. I have attempted to use 611 and they are just as bad and fail to speak understandable English. T-Mobile in my opinion has blackmailed me by threatening to turn my account over to collections. I would like to also mention that I have not received a statement from T-Mobile since January. It is now May. The only notification that I received was a letter threatening me about collections.
