Waited 20 mins and still not done. Two people working, one of the employees just took the information down the other one did all the work. Been here before and they normally have 4 employees. So I left also had another customer leave also will never go back.
They normally do a good job. This last time I went, I will never go back. They accidently charged me for services that weren't needed. So they charged me again, for the correct amount. They said I'd get the extra charge refunded back to me. Ok, great! But... I have since then gone up there four times, to see what was taking so long. It has been a month, since the initial transaction. They said their district manager would call or email me, in 7 to 10 business days. Again, a month has gone by and nothing has been done. So I had to use other sources to get my almost $300 dollars worth back. They acted like they didn't care about my situiation. Never going back to the Valley mills drive location, in Waco, Tx.
My son took our car to Take 5. Paid about $100 for oil change at Take 5 on 19th street in Lubbock,TX. Drove it about 400 miles and then noticed it leaking. They stripped oil pan and it required a replacement to the tune of $1000. Took them 3 weeks to decide they weren't responsible. Whatever you do… don't take your to Take 5. Gave them opportunity to make it right but they denied all responsibility.
Not only the prices went up for a simple oil change but worse customer service as well. Takes a long time. Will never come in to this place again or recommend. Worst service ever
Take 5 Oil - St Johns, FL. Yikes - what a poor experience from the person checking in to the services performed. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed and I was the recipient of a disgruntled employee with 0 customer service skills. I was able to hear all of the their male jokes which only bashed women with sexual references. I was so glad it wasn't the Mrs. Who was not with to be a witness. Guy (employee) was not able to run a coupon I received for the oil change (that I received from the website 30 min prior) and had no clue on how to apply the discount which was given.
Nothing was checked (fluid levels, air filter, wipers, tire pressure….) - drained the oil and filled that was the complete service.
Never again - do yourself a favor and bypass the business as they have no training or consideration for their customers.
Service performed 10-15-24
I took my car in for an oil change and was talked into a full synthetic and extras. Days later I could smell oil. I went back to have it checked out and was told everything was fine and it smells different because it's full vs semi synthetic. A week later my tire pressure light came on. When I went to air it up, it was screwed on so tight that I had to go back again. They corrected my pressure and I was on my way. A few days later, the light came on again and I went to the local service center and found out my valve was cracked and needed replacing. Shortly there after I was driving, and my car broke down. I had to have it towed to find out that my car was 5 quarts low on oil and I needed a new engine. Take 5 told me that I would need 3 estimates total, but since I already had it towed once, they could come with the district manager to look at it. They called the service center it was at and wanted to use their shop and tools, etc. They never showed up and never contacted me back. I have called consistently and been reassured. Someone would call me back but nothing and then even ignored. I called the corporate office 3 different times and they were very unhelpful as well, stating that the locations are privately owned and only put me back in touch with the local Take 5 so that I could be brushed off more. When I was recently contacted by JustIn he told me the notes showed that they had no liability. However, they never looked at my car, and the service center that did, was very clear about what happened. I asked JustIn to call my service center because whatever his advisor put in those notes was a lie. He said he would and he would talk to his superiors and call me back. I have yet to hear back from him. After 7 months of going through this…my car sitting in the driveway, an estimate of 9412 dollars, having to buy another car, receiving the worst customer service and indecency I've ever experienced, well, I learned my lesson and have to go to such extremes of taking them to court because they won't accept any responsibility or even try to work anything out with me! I don't care what discount they have to offer, I highly recommend spending a few extra bucks and going to a reputable establishment for an oil change. Don't be in such a hurry like I was to do it, that you receive less quality. Schedule ahead and keep your car in hands you can trust.
I took my truck there and in one hour my truck went out on me two months ago now I don't have a truck and I paid $100 cash and it's not on the receipt I don't recommend any body to go there
Over charged for oil change, $50.00, with customer supplied oil and filter. I called several other take 5 locations in the area and was quoted $32.00 for the same service. I just don't trust these folks.
Horrible experience at the Take 5 on Greenville St in Dallas tx on Aug 12the 2024@ 3 pm, racial discrimination was what i got. Waited 30 minutes to get in a stall, then white woman comes and they get her in and out before me. I waited 20 miute before the white woman got there. They told me lies after lies, will not go back and will not recommend my family or friends. Would love to talk to corprate about this matter.
I recently visited Take 5 store #695 and had an outstanding experience thanks to their incredible team, Jack, Zack & Carlton. The employees went above and beyond by not only filling up my tires and providing a much-needed top-off but also offering me a cold bottle of water before I even had a chance to ask. Their attentiveness and eagerness to help were truly exceptional. It's rare to find such a high level of customer service these days, and I am genuinely grateful for their efforts. Thank you for making my visit so pleasant and efficient!
I recently visited the Take 5 shop located at: 3215 N. Pine Ave Ocala, FL 34470 Store#725
352-547-5157 and was appalled by the abysmal customer service provided by the "shop manager".
I requested a top off when asked if I want an oil change. Bottom line at the end of service, the manager accused me of lying and yelled out to others, "She got us! She got us!" Informing me he heard factually I told him "an oil change". Not only was this accusation baseless, but the manager proceeded to spread false information among the staff, labeling me as a scammer!
Despite my attempts to clarify the situation, the manager adamantly refused to acknowledge his mistake/ miscommunication and outrightly banned me from returning to the establishment!
This level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability is simply unacceptable. In addition to that, the store manager lied and said I refused the cold water when first offered, at which time I had said, "yes please". He was extremely busy so I took it as simply him forgetting to give me the water but when I later asked for that water he blatantly said that I had declined it. I was in the car with my son with the windows down the whole time on a hot day with no ac why would I refuse the cold water? Despite him being busy, it's no excuse to treat a customer as a liar and scammer taking your frustrations out on a respectful customer like myself!
Since that incident, I have called that store to get the managers name since he refused me 3 times that day I was there and when I called it was the manager who answered (I remember his voice) but he again refused to give me his name both times I asked.
I am big on giving & receiving good customer service. I expect because I give it.
I have been writing only positive reviews for Take 5 for months. This is the first and hopefully last time I have to write a very poor review for store #725 for the store manager there.
I'm a former airman, businesswoman, activist, mother and wife, I have no reason to scam and for what free oil I'm already getting from the top off?
I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of this particular Take 5 location, as the managerial staff appears to prioritize baseless accusations over providing quality service. My experience left me feeling utterly disrespected and undervalued as a customer! So for the very first time...
I did NOT honk😞
Was very disappointed with the service at this location noticed a oil leak under my vehicle got under the vehicle and found out the oil filter was not put on correctly and was leaking out of the side of the filter call take 5 to let them know and they said to bring the yukon in and they were redo the oil change once we got there today the manager over turned it and was very unprofessional and declined to us to fix the problem. So if i would let all the oil come out and i would blown my engine they been buying me a new engine right now. So dont use take 5 oil change! Add proof of purchace the company can look up my purchace date on there end
Excellent customer service: only two minutes to wait for a vacant service bay, service rep asked about my preferred oil and recommended the manufacturer's oil preference even though I had been using a lighter, synthetic oil. I accepted her recommendation and the job was completed in timely fashion. Rep found my engine coolant level was down a bit, likely a result of a two-way trip from Cambridge, ON to Florida and back - topped it up for me, no extra charge. Price was certainly OK - I expect to pay between $110.00 and $150.00 for a synthetic oil change and this one was on the low side of that. I will definitely go back.
Went to the new place in Henriettas NY late Sunday afternoon. I was only truck and went right in. 10 minutes took 30 minutes. They hooked up the air filter wrong and I had to back in as truck was running rough. Took 3 men 10 minutes to figure out how to put it in correctly. That is all fine and dandy but they overcharged me and I didn't realize until I got home. Called corporate and left voice mail. Then went and sent them an email. No response at all. They are expensive-and shady on the pricing, as it relates to me. I won't ever go back.
Terrible service. I was directed in to stall and it took 25 minutes for anyone to greet me. I was there for 34 minutes. So much for take 5. The trcnitions acyedine they could care less how long it took.
I have going to the same oil change place before it became Take 5. My car has had every oil change done there since it was new.
2016 Buick Cascada, two days ago I had an oil change but the drain plug was not sealing.
I was told to file a claim but basically I was told I was on my own. 200 miles on my oil change and now I have to get another oil change just to fix the problem one of their "Techs" created.
I went to Take 5 on 1935 N. Jog in West Palm Beach. I gave them a $20 coupon which they scanned. When they were finished they took my credit card and charged the full amount. When I asked the worker where my $20 credit was he had to get his boss. The manager Maki made me wait 20 minutes and stated that the credit was given. When I showed him the bill he said he didn't have time to deal with this. He said if it was worth $20 to wait until he took care of all his other customers than I could wait.
Beware of this location.
Its been 3 months still lying they are working on it,when you hire professional liars managers you will not going to last in this business i don't recommend this place for oil change
Was told I couldn't use Conventional oil in my 2021 Ford Escape because it would void all warranties if I didn't use expensive Synthetic oil. So I was charged a lot more than I expected. I later found this to be a complete lie. I could use Conventional oil or Synthetic, whatever I wanted with no damage to engine and no voiding warranties. He lied straight to my face simply to sell me a much higher price, literally double! First and last time also!
I was told on the phone it would be $x. I paid almost double that. They said I was not eligible for economy which has never been true before. They added a "special" filter because they were "trying to take care of me". Super slimy, dishonest sales stuff going on here. Gross!
I arrived to the League City Texas location, I was offered a bottle of water, that was nice. I was asked to open my vehicle's hood open then pull into a service bay. There were 2 other vehicles inside the other 2 bays waiting for service. There were 3 techs who 2 of them went inside the office, I would imagine for a break, that lasted 1/2 hour. The other tech was just walking around talking on the phone. Once the 2nd tech came out of the office, they starting to work on one of the vehicles. Now the 2 techs were working both on one oil change just chatting and laughing. The 3rd tech, a female, never came out of the office. After ONE HOUR wait, I then decided to start my vehicle then leave. They had me wait for more than ONE HOUR inside the bay for NOTHING! These employees DO NOT care at all for their customers. I always used to go to this place for my car service, but the quality and the waiting time has gone from bad to worst.
