This app has been great need less day. When I need to use Text No, it opens right up for me. No problem. Reception could be hella better for voice calls... Other than that Text Now does the job and gets it done.
I paid for the card, it doesn't work, there is no free calling, and there is no available customer service for assistance. That's about it... Save for the fact that health insurance spammers can get through with perfect signal strength time after time even leaving default four-second vms. I'm not upset or anything, I didn't have high hopes about this from jump street, just saying.
DO NOT USE THIS APP. IT IS A FRAUD! THEY stole my money and lie about the account not being linked to the purchase. I sent proof of apple receipt and proof of the account i use for textnow and they refuse to refund me and keep giving me the go around. DO NOT USE THIS APP
I have a text now phone but no service. So I wanted to use it on sprint. It can't be unlocked. They have put their software in it and you can't get rid of it. Stay away from TEXT NOW.
Thought this was a great deal 40 a month for unlimited. The unlimited is is 23GB LTE which is usual for unlimited, but usually after you use the 23GB you get a slower speed 3g or 4g. With this company you only get 2g, which is so slow you just give up on trying to do anything. On top of all of this I can't make a phone call. The people I call can't hear me. Twice I tryed customer support. Was told both times I would hear from then in 24 hours. First time I never got a response, 2nd time I call again after 4 days, this time I got a response. They told me I should check their web site and see if I could find something there that would resolve the problem. I also told them if the problem wasn't resolved I'd have to get a different company. Their response to that was they were sorry if I had to leave. This is probably the worst customer support I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more and go with Cricket or Metro Pcs.
ZERO STARS IF I COULD. :(( Had a textnow number I'd used for 5 years that was taken away because I was sick and didnt check my email for less than 2 weeks... that sums up your respect for customers! I have 2 text now phones I gave to workers who didnt have phones and they will be replaced this week... I have given this number to many people who have no other number to contact me and I'm not sure what to do as I've never lost a phone number unexpectedly without providing another number for correspondence... this sucks and I will review them on every site so nobody finds out how easy it is to lose your number if you miss a email... funny thing is I wouldn't paid to get it back but it's already given away the day they took my number from me... STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE SITUATION I AM IN AND GET A REAL PHONE COMPANY!
They completely suspended my account for no apparent reason. I had my bank accounts, and all other personal accounts linked to my textnow account. Now i cannot access anything.

On June 12,2021 I paid $6.99 CAD to lock my number for one year, but it was taken by someone else on July 15,2021. When I contacted the customer service, they accused me of releasing number or claimed that someone else used my account to release my number. They repeated this multiple times when I asked for a refund. This is an example from the transcript:

THE MOST ANNOYING THING IN THE WORLD is that sometimes you get ads that play so loud and violently DURING your call. All day today I have had Nordstrom ads popping up sometimes three at a time all playing at the same time. It's not a normal volume, it's so loud it will give you PTSD. Now I'm going to get PTSD every time I see the store name Nordstrom. Out of principle I will never go there again. I love buying my Estee Lauder products there...next time I'm going to Macy's.

Was ok at first but can't answer calls or leave VM. Internet is awefull. Phone rings and rings and rings! Got 29 calls from +1 numbers and California numbers too. You get what you pay for...
I have had text now and my own phone number through them for years probably close to almost 10 years and I use it as a second never personal for when I'm in a spot that my phones not working but I have access to Internet so the texting and phone calls great never had any problems with them until first of January and I tried to make a phone call and it wouldn't go through so it froze up which it has done a couple times and I just uninstall it and reinstall it and apparently I violated the terms of service or their agreement and I don't know what I did I filed an appeal never heard from them so they've gone from really really great I think two so bad they suck I wouldn't get them now at all I'd look for another one even if they did come back and say it was all good can't get a hold of customer service

DO NOT EVER USE. Customer service is literally a joke. 3rd graders could read and type out their "technical support" scripts faster than the actual people hired. If you ever have billing issues, you're screwed. Have any real technical issues and don't have a brain, you're screwed.

On 2-07-18 i received a i phone from text now.com that i did not order. I never heard of text now so i went on internet to find out whats going on. I found thier customer support phone number and out of 6 options was not able to talk to some one. Went to there support center and tried to chart with some one. No luck wanting to do the right thing i sent the phone back to there office in canada at a cost of $32.01 on 2-14-18 i received a phone call from u. P.s. Stating canada would not accept the value for one dollar. I told them my problem and they said they would look into it. They called me back with a phone number that i could call and speak to someone. I spoke to a very nice lady who told me what was going on. Someone orderd this phone useing my name address, phonenumber, e-mail address and my mastercard. I told her it was not me who orded this phone she cancelled the order of 34.98 but could not refund me my cost to send the phone back because i was not able to reach them for a shipping label. I notified my bank and cancelled my credit card. Text now also tried to charge me $7.00 for add. Ups fees to end this i should have never tried to do the right thing and send them there phone back.if this ever happens to you keep the phone they are nothing but crooks in my opinion
