This app has been great need less day. When I need to use Text No, it opens right up for me. No problem. Reception could be hella better for voice calls... Other than that Text Now does the job and gets it done.
I paid for the card, it doesn't work, there is no free calling, and there is no available customer service for assistance. That's about it... Save for the fact that health insurance spammers can get through with perfect signal strength time after time even leaving default four-second vms. I'm not upset or anything, I didn't have high hopes about this from jump street, just saying.
Injust wish it was free to use i dont have money to pay for textnow i thought wifi was paying for it but guess not
I have to write 50 characters, I just want to rate it 5 stars. :D
This has been a God send on my new phone. I bought a new phone, and only texting works on it, and sometimes calling. This presents a problem because there are times I really need to make call. That's where TextNow comes in.
With TextNow, so long as I'm connected to my internet at home, or a public Wifi network, I can make a quick call if needed. This was really helpful the other day as I lost my mom in a store and couldn't find her. I connected to a Public Wifi, busted open TextNow and was able to call her phone and find out where she was!
IMO all calling should work like TextNow. It's 2024 and only TextNow is offering internet phone numbers. Truly a product ahead of it's time. Normally I hate new things, but not TextNow, it's technology, but good.
Almost every function of this app is free (things like photo storage only come with the paid version), but the only real caveats for a user looking for a free app are that you have to use your number every so often (I think every week? Not sure) to keep it active, and, of course, ads. They're not terrible, though, far less intrusive than they could be, and overall not a bad tradeoff for a free app. (There is also an ad-free version available.)
Over the years text now has had a few bumps in the road especially with how it works with wi-fi
But when you get a SIM card it changes the game completely because you don't have to pay for phone service, if you choose to buy data from TextNow it's still cheaper than any place you would go to.
Not to mention bringing your number you get certain perks like free Hulu for a month and more.
Super easy to use and saved me with a no service phone. 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
Your service is not tailored to sustain free service, its about pushing customer to buy lines with very costly price, higher than real lines.
Very nice and easy to use and friendly free calling service.
I LOVE TextNow! I'm able to stay connected with my family with GREAT QUALITY & FREEEEE Service! Can't get any better!👍
TextNow Gives me texting in a zone where there is no cell service.
I primarily use a pay as you go cell phone. There are times when I can't meet my monthly charges. That's when I rely on Text Now. I can phone free anywhere in Canada with unlimited use of text messaging. For my own personal use I text anytime to anyone and when someone text's me back I hear a distinct louder chime than my conventional phone. I'm very pleased asit is my go to and it's free.
We find it very good! Sometimes I have to log out and log in to get it working, but not a big deal for me!
We have used textbook on a variety of tablets and platforms since its inception. Throughout many iterations it has performed reliably and well. When our landlines stopped working (long story) it became a lifeline.
If I could give it more than 5 stars, then I would.
You can't get much for free these days. This is a nice exception.
I was trying to activate a SIM on iphone but it was giving error messages and asking to contact customer service. I did that but Customer rep was also giving me go around. So I stopped this.
Will try again with Customer Service again to see if they can help this time.
Hey Javed, thanks for your review! If you haven't done so already, we'd appreciate reaching back out to our Live Chat so we can continue helping activating your SIM Card.
It's good for texting but for phone calls, you can't hear the person and the person can't hear you
Hi Justice, thanks for your review and we’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble while calling. We've sent a private message to assist further!
This allows me to have two numbers and one phone. I can keep some communications private.
Love it
I had a great time everything went just as planned everyone had a goo time
Hi Sidney, thanks for your review and we've sent a private message to follow up and see how we can provide you with an even better experience!
I've tried different text apps and I found this one to be the best.
After getting the proper understanding of what I needed I was provided with a link to resolve my issue.
Nice to not give out my real number because so much info can be found with real numbers out there!

Hi Devonnile, thanks for your feedback. Purchases offered in our app include features to remove ads and lock in your number. In the free version of the app, these ads do pay for this service available to all users! For our free version, you do risk losing your number if you don't use it regularly. If you're not interested in locking in your number or removing ads, you can use the number at least once every couple days for an outgoing call or text to keep it active.
