The tips you gave me worked like a charm. Chase is actually a Labradoodle. 4 months, extremely intelligent, born and raised in a barn until I got him. He only had one accident in the house and was completely housebroken in 2 days. His buddy is a Maltese he loves to hump, and Charlie snaps at him every time and growls. I was told it's a status thing on who's dominant. Your tips worked great. Thank you so very much.
I would first like to thank you for the emails. I greatly appreciate them! Your approaches have helped me with King already. When he's jumping and I simply ignore his behavior, as you said, he stops within a very short amount of time. Also, praising him with just simply saying good has worked great. I'm not sure if that has worked or made a difference for anyone else but it truly did for me. Thank you for free tips and advice. I'd not be fortunate enough to have something like this otherwise.
I felt defeated after expressing my concerns about Bissa losing his mom and not being brought home from a litter. The veterinarian made feel as if Bissa's behavior issues were going to be extensive.

This was good. Learned a few things. My dog is good and she is smart.
Learned how to teach her boundary
Emily listened to my concerns and assured me that they were normal puppy issues.
Correct ways to handle crate training
I learned a lot tonight and look forward to talking to the trainers some more with this crazy dog.
Lots of things we covered - getting him to come, slow feeding, teaching him the difference between sit and watch
Wonderfully informative! The training course is very flexible and informative about my puppy breed. I like the way the course is geared to meet a first time owner/trainer's needs for properly training a puppy and going through all the phases of behavior training and modification. I, also like the ability to connect with professional trainers for advice and guidance for specific issues.
I found out I am expecting too much too soon!
These calls are very helpful. I feel more confident and have tools to use after talking to a trainer.
My Goldendoodle pulls on the leash. Sally told me to teach her to "heel and sit" and to make frequent turns and stops to keep her paying attention.
I am thrilled with all the things Sally explained to me and the various commands she told me how to teach Ruby Jo.
Ruby jumps and barks all the time we are fixing any food or eating any food and Sally told me how to teach "leave it" and "floor" and "mat" and "stay." This will take some work, but it will be worth it.
Emily gave me so many great ideas to make Pippin the best dog he can be. I feel like they are doable and we will be successful. I have implemented what Emily recommended. Pippin hasn't marked since.!
He loves his kong at night. He still nips at my feet but it is getting less frequent.
Emily gave me so many great ideas to make Pippin the best dog he can be. I feel like they are doable and we will be successful..
When putting him in his kennel for the evening, giving him a chew toy to calm him down and as a reward. We’ve already got a Kong in the freezer full of water and I will get other treats tomorrow.
Worth every penny. Do it quickly
Emily is so informative and understanding. Her tone and approach is very welcoming and puts you at ease.
Tossing kibble so that the puppy is focused on that and not excitedly jumping, biting etc.
Highly recommended!
Very helpful advice. I liked that she asked questions and then gave advice based on my answers.
I need to keep her on a leash with me when I am home and take her out to potty every hour and a half. I need consistency and I need to just keep at it.
I feel better about handling a dog with separation anxiety after this call.
Separation anxiety - calming treats 20 minutes before crating, Kong with peanut butter frozen and put in crate when I leave
Wow! I have a lot to work on! But I am so glad to have my questions answered and know how to deal with various situations.
Housetraining was my big issue tonight and Sally answered all my questions and gave me an idea how to put my dog on a routine and help her learn to potty outdoors and maybe us a potty patch on the balcony.
It was so good to actually talk to someone who understands what we are dealing with and get some ideas of how to work with submission urination.
We had no idea that the more training and commands we do with our dog, the more confidence he will have and the less he will have submission urination.
This was a delightful call as we compared notes on our dogs and Sally gave me some super ideas for our dogs.
Sit stay is so hard to teach, but Sally has some great ideas
I was given some helpful tips and reminded that some of the things my dog is just his age
The fact that he isn't getting enough rest and ways to help him rest more
It has a lot of information and suggestions
I am really having a hard time with my dog biting and nipping and Sally assured me it was normal, but she could help.
Sally told me I was doing the right thing by giving my puppy a time out for biting and nipping and also told me to put puppy on a leash more in the house and make her walk with me.
I really didn't know what to expect, but Sally was very good to listen to my ramblings and then give me a direction for training.
I needed help teaching my puppy to learn to walk with me and Sally told me how to start teaching heel and sit.
Sally was encouraging and told me to remember I have a baby and I have only had her 3 weeks (not quite).
Potty training using a potty patch on the balcony
Sally had a possible solution for every situation I told her and she knew about some things I hadn't thought about.
Getting my dog to walk next to me on a leash and getting him to go into the yard with the collar for the fence on him.
Very informative. We covered a lot of ground in a relatively short period of time. The follow up email was also very helpful
How important it is to seperate siblings for one on one learning
It was fast and to the point. Picked up some strategies to try
That he doesn't get enough sleep and too much freedom in the house.
That they should
It was good to talk to someone and get their opinion on the things I'm struggling with.
Instead of going potty outdoors, he eats grass and clover and then comes in and 15 minutes later he poops. Sally said to keep him on his leash when I bring him in and take him back out in 15 minutes.
You are given a clue as to where to begin followed by more selling to receive " the course" after paying for the course. There is no way to contact anyone to help. I wanted to start on May 1st and never got any feedback just continued repeat of animated selling push. I did speak with a trainer regarding house breaking however so far we have had no success. Going from a litter box to outside is a challenge. There should be some interaction or place to contact.
Potty training is our big issue, but also his eating grass and pulling on the leash. I am following whatever little direction is offered prior to an attempt to buy more before ever given what could be picked up by reading a book. I wish that you gave what you suggested you were offering. There is no where you offer customer service that I ever found. Just purchase here icons.
We have our work cut out for us! Very, very helpful
Potty training is our big issue, but also his eating grass and pulling on the leash
It is encouraging to talk to Sally and hear her stories and her ideas.
Oh, we talked about so many things... I think the best thing we talked about was how to deal with the evening rowdies and how important routine is for the dog.
Very informative! Follow up information that was sent will be very beneficial.
Knowledge of how a Cane Corso or puppy are strengthened my overall knowledge of how to handle a puppy.
Over all the conversation was uplifting on how to handle my cane corso as well as understand her behavior.
Given understanding of the unwanted behavior and provided with information as to what to do!
Absolutely sign up.
My husband and I have had 4 other Cane Corsos and never had one this crazy and we are really afraid she will hurt one of us or someone else. Sally has given us great hope and helped us understand that she is not aggressive; she is just untrained and we need to do some training!
She bites us and jumps on us and bites, she runs around crazy, she is uncontrollable. Sally said to keep a leash on her with a choke chain or a Martingale collar and a leash with one of us on the other end and teach her "heel" and "sit" and "stay" and "floor" and give her a time out when she doesn't listen
I appreciate the time and advice so very much. It all made sense to me.
I learned that I need to get a choke chain and keep a leash on my puppy more of the time and work on training leave it, and floor, and no bite.
This website's videos are very helpful, but it is even more helpful to talk to a trainer.
This was very helpful. I appreciated all that Sally told me about training two dogs.
I learned that using a long leash and making each dog come several times a day will greatly improve their coming when called.
The trainers at TrainPetDog know what they are talking about. They are very experienced with all types of dogs.
