Did not receive order
April 12, 2018

I placed a order for a pair of slacks the end of March. I received a email from the company that they had received my order and I would receive it in 4-7 business day on March 25... I still have not received order. When I emailed Travel Smith about the order on April they advised it was on back order and would be sent out around the middle of MAY. I should have been notified of this by Travel Smith... VERY DISAPPOINTED. AS A TRAVEL AGENT DO NOT FEEL I CAN RECOMMEND THEM TO CLIENTS.

Slowest delivery EVER

I really like the catalog items but won't order again because delivery is painfully slow. Their shipping costs are high enough to warrant better customer service.

RIDICULOUS SCAM COMPANY! Don't send them a penny, they are NOT honorable!
We ordered some pants and liked them, so we ordered two more pair - same size, same style, same product. They sent two pair MUCH BIGGER... huge! So when I called to return the bad ones they said "No returns"! THEY SENT THE WRONG PRODUCT AND NOW WON'T RETURN THE MONEY!

Placed my order for 6 items. Should have gotten discounts on each of them ("buy 2 of item and save $). My total price was off by 20% because no discounts were applied. The crazy shopping cart even listed two items at $15.99 sale price, but it was crossed out, and the original price of $20 was still charged instead!

So I did a chat with customer service and Shawna was polite and helpful, She said she could make the corrections after my order was placed and she had an order number. I verified all the amounts with her.

When she gave me the new total, it was only a few dollars less than the original. Turns out they wouldn't honor the $20 overall discount I had originally for spending over $100. She checked with a supervisor... they wouldn't combine it with the sale items.

So, over 20 minutes of chat, just to try to save $20 and it couldn't be done. Their website clearly said "save $20 on purchases over $100 - discount taken at checkout". It did not state not valid with sale items. Shawna cancelled the order at my request.

AVOID this company at all costs and go back to Amazon. I should have gone there first... what was I thinking? After reading these other reviews, TravelSmith should be out of business.

I ordered a dress (which had no reviews). I've ordered from this company for over 13 years. The print showed colors of teal, pink/rose, light blue. 8 days later, after paying huge shipping, I received a poorly made dress in orange, gray, navy and some sort of red purple. It is hideous. They had to know they were sending something that was wrong. Yet they took the money, shipped. I phoned the minute I received it. Other companies would give a courtesy refund and ask me to return it. These people acted like I was a thief and refused to do so, telling me to use their label (return time via USPS is going to be 7 days) plus then they'd 'decide' whether to refund and will then refund within 5 days. SO they will have been sitting on my money for 3 weeks or more. The "supervisor" I spoke to sounded as if she smokes 7 packs of cigarettes a day. She was beyond rude, and made it clear they wanted to SEE if they agree with me before there's a refund. I mentioned the 'damn garment' and she told me she'd hang up on me for cursing. They'll do ANYTHING to keep from doing their JOB in customer 'service'. I don't know what's happened to this company, but they've gone from being my favorite to the worst. OH and I phoned back to have them remove me from the mailing list. I got some guy in Philippines and he wanted catalog number. I thrown them all away AT THE MAILBOX. He then transferred me to, you guessed it, Customer Service even though I told him not to. The 'customer service' person said I'd have to talk to the mailing list guy and transferred me back to Philippines. Filthy, awful company of do-nothings! Adding: Today I see they didn't refund the entire shipping amount. Had to phone them AGAIN. What does it take for this company to ever do the rifht thing?

I ordered one of their popular items - the 360 spinner carry-on with free tote. Upon receipt I tested the handle and it clearly didn't work so I packed it up, included the label and clearly indicated I wanted an exchange. That was on January 25,2017 - I confirmed with customer service that the item was received and a replacement item would be shipped within 7 to 10 days. Reasonable! When the item did not arrive I called again and was told that it had not been processed since they were in the middle of relocating the warehouse but if I needed the item soon I could just buy another one and when they finished processing the return I would get a refund - that was not going to happen I wasn't paying double - I was assured all would be fine and the item would ship within 7 - 10 days - not reasonable but acceptable. Nothing came so I continued to call and now I realized it was a big scam - no merchandise was coming however I did get someone to commit to a date and was told my replacement would arrive on March 2 - Here it is March 3 and I'm told I was given a full refund because the item was out of stock by supervisor - contrary to what customer service told me. I told the supervisor after 8 weeks of lies and delays they should just send me the item free of charge of course I didn't expect that but I could give her my credit card and we could start the process of lies, delayed delivery dates, shoddy products all over again. I don't think so. Travelsmith was once a reliable company with good products. No longer - I will never do business with them again. The 4 weeks of outright lies is no way to treat a a customer.

Before you get started be aware that regular shipping is apparently by horse drawn wagon, 10-12 business days! Translation 2-3 weeks!

Purchased sweater for $24.74 Shipping was $7.95 = $32.69 total. I received it and wasn't the right size. If you return the item with the enclosed packing label you will be charged $6.95. If you want to exchange the item there is no charge. So I decided to exchange it (even though I really didn't like it that much) I just wanted to save the $6.95. They received it on 1/9 and I never got an email or phone call so I called on 1/18 and was told that it was in the warehouse and should be shipped out soon but to follow up in a week. The following day I got a voicemail message saying that they unfortunately they didn't have my size in stock and will be refunding my credit card. On 1/23 I checked my credit card statement and it didn't show anything. So I called to check on the status. The lady I spoke to looked up my account and said that there was a note on the account saying that they left a message and was waiting to hear back from me. (NOT AT ALL WAS THIS SAID IN THE MESSAGE) She then said that she would send it through to the refund authorization department to get me my refund. I asked her what the amount of the refund would be and she said $17.79! I asked her to clarify the $14.90 difference! She said that the shipping would be deducted from the item amount. I explained that it wasn't my fault that they didn't have my size in stock and I can understand if I only got the $24.74 back excluding the original shipping. I have NEVER EVER experienced this with any company in my entire life! After practically begging she then said that she would credit me the $24.74. I think that they need to stop misleading people with the 100% satisfaction and free shipping on all exchanges!

I made the mistake of seeing a dress I thought would be nice for travel, and I put it on my Christmas list. My relatives did not communicate well, and I ended up with two of them. They were HUGE despite being extra smalls. Also, these were supposed to be specifically designed for travel, but they were incredibly wrinkly and obviously were not wrinkle free items. I sought to return them. Strangely, I was issued THREE merchandise credits (for two items) and was told I would receive free shipping for an exchange. I did not receive free shipping. Their clothes all seem to run HUGE. I am normally a size 6 but everything looked enormous on their website. I tried to take advantage of one of their sales (for a pair of boots--they can't mess up the sizing on those, right?), but the exclusions basically made getting them on sale impossible. I finally found a peruvian pima tank top I could buy that might fit in an XS. I ordered three because I truly just wanted to use the credit and there was nothing in their whole store that I wanted. Shipping took forever (no modern clothing company takes this long) and when I received my items, two of the tank tops were there and they sent me a third item that wasn't even remotely related to the tank top. It was item ******* in size Medium. I kid you not, it was actually about a 2X despite being labeled medium. My two kids laughed when I pulled it out of the package to show them because this was supposed to be for me! Now, I have to package up this item (yet again) and drive back to the post office because they messed up. (Many companies nowadays just say go ahead and donate it when they make mistakes.) And, they are going to take as long to send the replacement item as the first go-round, which took almost two weeks! What a flipping joke this company is! Overpriced clothing, huge sizes, and snail-like shipping. They really just need to close down. I am sure they eventually will. In somewhat positive news, the XS tank tops are only slightly large--so with a few high heat dryer cycles, I may actually get to wear the $80 my relatives so graciously spent on me initially. Mind you, I would be able to find these tank tops in a store for about $15 each (or at Venus), but at this point, I just never want to deal with this company again.
