I booked a hotel on Traveluro for a cheaper rate. I later found this review and was worried about the legitemacy of the service. In the end, all worked out as expected, so it's not all bad.
SCAM SCAM. Went to hotel on the day and traveluro hadn't sent our booking to the hotel at all. Called customer service with international number with huge roaming cost and was told it would be rectified. Called again & Was told twice that an agent would call me back but no result. Stuck at hotel for last 3 hours waiting for their response. Not sure if I book another hotel in higher price now and have to follow them up for refund. Better to avoid them.
I booked a hotel reservation with Traveluro and 5 minutes after I booked I realize that I picked incorrect dates for my stay. I reached out to them to request a modification and was informed that they needed to contact the hotel directly to see if they had rooms for the dates I needed and that they would be back in contact with me in 24 to 48 hours. 2 to 3 hours after that call, I received an email stating that due to the hotel's policy they couldn't do a modification. So I reached out to the hotel directly and was informed that they did have rooms available for the revised dates needed, but Traveluro would need to do the modification because we booked them them and not the hotel directly. I reached back out to Traveluro and relayed what the hotel said, then Traveluro replied due to our cancellation policy we cant refund or amend reservations. I stated im not requesting a refund and there was nothing on the website saying no modifications when I was booking the reservation. I have contacted my bank to dispute the charge.

I booked 3 different rooms with Traveluro. The one positive was the first hotel was for a good price and there were no issues. It was downhill from there. I booked a private room in a hostel and Traveluro booked me into an 8 person shared dorm instead. I had at least 5 calls back and forth with their support and close to a dozen emails before I left on my trip. In the end the room they booked me into was listed on their website for about 1/5 of what I paid. Customer service said they would resolve the issue and they never did. They also wouldn't give me a refund so I could book a private room. Can you imagine paying $450+ to stay in an 8 person shared dorm room for a hostel for 3 nights? No one would willingly book that. They never resolved that issue so I had to pay for another hotel through another provider. (No issues with that one!) Then I arrived at my final hotel which was a one-night booking. I confirmed the booking before I left but when I got to the hotel I was told Traveluro never paid them for my room. I paid Traveluro and they never paid the hotel! So, when I got there, hot, cranky, and tired I had to spend 1.5 hours talking with their support and waiting for them to pay the hotel!

I always use TripAdvisor to save on hotel prices. Traveluro was leeching on the TripAdvisor site. They charged my card $400 for a room THAT WASN'T EVEN AVAILABLE! I called to get my money back…The lady barely spoke English. I got nothing resolved. I had to call my credit card company. Hopefully they will refund the money. DON'T DO IT!

Traveluro promised a full refund before a specified date. I needed to shorten my stay for one day and they said they couldn't do it because the hotel needed them to cancel the reservation and rebook. They said they didn't have the dates I needed if I did that. If I canceled and rebooked, they would have used the same dates minus one. It should have been a simple request, but they denied it for a bogus reason. The hotel looks good so I'm keeping the reservation and I could always use the hotel beyond the checkout date so I kept it. If I had gone directly through the hotel it would have been honored. They also take payment immediately. Advice: Don't use a third party agent, go directly to the airline or hotel. It's too hard to negotiate through an agency.

We booked a holiday in through them for March 2022 and a few days after booking I confirmed with Holiday Inn that they showed our reservation. Then 2 weeks prior to going I rechecked since this was my first time using this website and found out for Holiday Inn that they cancelled the reservation. Now I was panicking as I did not want to get to Miami and have no hotel and many were sold out. I scrambled and rebooked another hotel with free cancellation as back up. Then contacted my credit card to pursue legal action and dispute that did not fulfil their agreement. My credit card company said they had till the day after we were flying to respond. Low and behold 2 days before leaving I get a text with a new confirmation booking number. I call holiday Inn again and confirm another booking was made under my name. I made sure the booking said paid in full. I decided at this point to take a chance and cancelled my back up. I did get there, and the room was ready. Ended well but wasn't worth the stress and headaches to saye a few dollars. Not a way to start vacation. I have documentation of the 2 different booking numbers from them booking, cancelling and rebooking again, along with the hotel supervisor I spoke with.

BUYER BEWARE! STAY AWAY from TRAVELURO! I learned the hard way when I booked a hotel with them. The hotel misinformed us about the room we booked, so we needed to cancel once we were at the hotel. I called Traveluro and spoke to a representative about the hotel not having any rooms that we booked, and that the hotel had no issue giving us a refund. Traveluro just needed to speak with them, which they did as I was there for the conversation with the hotel staff. Traveluro said they would issue me a refund for my #300 room reservation. One month later, I still have not received it and when I called them to discuss this, no one would speak to me. Obviously they are a scam outfit and they should be shut down. They literally steal people's money. One star is too generous for these criminals.

Do not go threw them I got a room threw this this past Saturday and the room heat didn't work,water didn't work plus the tolient Later find out the whole floor I was on had no heat && I asked for a discount or to move me or pay for another night somewhere else they refuse to do anything. Luckily after 3 days of getting the run around and them telling me what they ate going to do with my money the hotel tell lied and takes 50 dollars for parking and you can't give me a refund Even I was just wanting to be accommodated, I had to to get My enetertainment lawyer involved and let him file a dispute don't ever go threw these people there trash and do not cate about you and where you end up they don't know nothing about the hotel they just want your money. The hotel lied and said they uploaded 2000 points on a app they made me make and I checked yesterday they didn't do such a thing, so that's been the reason this 3party been telling me we aren't given you a refund bow let's see with my laywer involved what rights you have to play with someone's money.

On June 4th we were kicked out of our hotel because they claimed it was only booked for one night we were staying at the Red Roof Inn. I called Taveluro and they tried to get us another hotel but could not find one. It was very hard to find a hotel with accommodations for a pet. The vacation was ruined because of this, because we almost had to sleep in our car because we couldn't find a hotel. Red Roof Inn claimed it was Traveluro's fault it was only booked for one night. I am aware we were refunded are money. It was very humiliating! It's very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. IF YOU BOOK WITH THEM YOUR GAMBLING ON YOUR HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS!

Our ride with Traveluro was rough. I will start with their good service first: The room they booked for us was amazing! Very good size for the money we paid, but it was a joint room, and that was not clarified for us upon booking.
Now for the bad service: We were surprised that Traveluro failed to pay the hotel on time. So we paid Traveluro upon booking a room at Hilton Garden Inn, and they were supposed to pay the hotel so we could check in. We arrived at the hotel, and the receptionist said that they could not check us in because traveluro's payment did not go through. We tried to call Traveluro, but no one answered the phone. The hotel tried to call them, but again, no one answered the phone. We wasted about 45 minutes trying to get hold of someone at Traveluro to update their payment information, but there was no answer. Finally, we had to authorize the hotel to use our Credit Card so they could check us in. The receptionist said that she will keep on trying to call them, but she was not successful in any of her attempts. It wasn't until the next day, and after we followed up with the reception area, that the reception supervisor was able to get hold of someone at Traveluro and she got the payment issue resolved. That was a major disappointment for us, and we decided not to use Traveluro's services again.

Booked 2 hotels through TravelEuro - one was non refundable and the other was refundable until a certain date. When I learned of their bad reviews, I immediately cancelled the hotel that I could still cancel. Refund was sent to my account immediately. No problem there. Then rebooked with GoSplitty (which btw is the same company as TravelEuro, I found later) The one that wasn't refundable, I was so nervous for months that something would go wrong according to the reviews. When I finally checked in, it showed that I had paid in full but TravelEuro never gave the hotel my payment. I was so scared! I showed them where I paid and they let me check in anyway and and said they will continue to purse the payment from TravelEuro. Close call! The GoSplitty check in went smooth no problem there but TravelEuro is one in the same as my confirmation text messages were coming from the same number for both companies. My advice, pay more and go with another for peace of mind. There is something shady with TravelEuro. Won't book with them again, too stressful.

I booked with Traveluro while I was in Hawaii for 10 days. I was going to extend my stay and needed to find a hotel for 1 night. I booked a room through Traveluro online 3 days in advance to my stay. The very next day we decided that were not going to extend our stay so we tried contacting Traveluro via phone at least 6 times and were unsuccessful. We decided to contact the hotel directly and they stated since it was booked through Traveluro we needed to contact them. We tried multiple times again and we were unsuccessful. We did not stay in the room and traveled back home to find that the card was charged for the stay. We tried to contact traveluro again but we were unsuccessful again. The phone line just goes through an automated system and you never get a live person. We have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and leaving a review because we don't want anyone else to go through this. Our original 10 day stay was not booked through traveluro. We have not spoken with anyone from Traveluro till this day and BBB stated Traveluro never responded to the complaint.

I found Traveluro on Kayak so I figured it was legitimate. WRONG! They show you this wonderfully low price for the best hotels and tell you that you have 21 minutes to make the booking. Many times I tried to book hotels, and was well within the time limit. After filling in all my information (including credit card number - YIKES!), I hit the "book this room" button. Bam! It comes back with something saying how sorry they are, but this price is no longer available. Well, what the heck were they holding the reservation for 21 minutes for? Of course they then offer you something way more expensive and prey on you to book it. It also tries to get more money for breakfast at a hotel which offers breakfast to all guests, no matter what they paid. I called to try and resolve this, but they all had the same song and dance how someone else must have snuck in and booked the cheap rate. AVOID THIS WEBSITE - YOU WILL ONLY WASTE TIME. I'm wondering what they are going to do now that they have my credit card number - Scary!

I wouldn't give them even one star but the system made me. I had booked my December 2021 trip to the Big Island, HI. The hotel I booked is the Hilton Waikaloa which is a hotel that is popular due to it's amenities. I had booked it 2 months in advance. The week prior I tried calling the hotel to request a rollaway. The Hilton didn't have us booked. The Hilton agent told me we were booked at a Hilton in Oklahoma. This is a totally different state. By the time Traveluro got back to me regarding this mistake was the day before we were to check in. In order to get the same hotel I had to use my whole 40,000 points with Hilton and paid about $500 more than Traveluro cost. They told me the day of travel I would get a refund but this didn't process till our trip was done and I had to use a credit card with a higher interest rate. I requested when we returned only the difference I lost between their cost and what I paid $500. They refused and never got back to me till recently cause I had to keep in touch with them no follow up was done by the company. Sadly all customer service agents that emailed me back never read my emails in full so I got frustrated. They have still not compensated me for this issue. I wrote United recently with an issue with their First Class service and customer service received a credit with no issue from them. This is true customer service. I've been a Travel Agent for 32 years and would never give the kind of service Traveluro gave.

My wife wanted to surprise me for my birthday. What a surprise...she made a mistake and entered the wrong month. She also checked non-refundable (which we never do) She realized her mistake and an hour later had me call "customer service" You will be talking to somone who speaks English as a second language. I was told since she made the mistake their policy was no refunds or changes. We were hoping for a future booking credit. When I called the hotel chain (an international multi brand company) I was informed that they had no reservation under her name in the system and it could take 2-3 business days for Traveleuro to make the reservation and send us our booking voucher. I called Traveleuro again and spoke with another "customer service" agent. I asked since we didn't have a reservation with the hotel yet why couldn't we have a travel credit. I was told their policy for what she booked was non-refundable or transferable! I asked who is keeping our $440 and was told she didn't know but their policy was no refunds. AVOID THIS COMPANY. I will be asking the NY Attorney General about this company as well as the Better Business Bureau. In less than 20 minutes we were scammed out of our money. Shameful, it is a travel agency not a casino. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We booked the Royal York in Toronto via the Trivago site through a third party supplier named Traveluro. We received a voucher with a confirmation number. On the day of travel by air from Halifax, NS to Toronto we were advised that our reservation at the Royal York was cancelled because it was overbooked. We then phoned the Royal York and they advised that they were not overbooked and did have many rooms left and did not recognize our confirmation number. We then contacted Traveluro. We then contacted Traveluro who then again stated that there were no rooms available at the Royal York but offered us a room at a three star hotel called The Beverley. We reluctantly accepted this reservation because we were out of options.
Shortly after we were advised that our booking at the Beverley was cancelled due to overbooking and were offered a booking at the Double Tree which was currently under renovations. As a matter of fact you could barely gain entrance to the main doors of the hotel. Again we had no choice but to accept and that's where we stayed for three nights. The moral of the story is that when you're booking through a third party you don't have a confirmation #. As confirmed by the Royal York it's just a temporary confirmation and if there is high demand the third party reservations are cancelled.
