I used this site to book a local hotel about 5 days in advance. It was a great price, but non refundable. I didn't think much of it at first, but ended up googling reviews about the site since I hadn't used them before. There were so many bad reviews that my anxiety got the better of me. I ended up emailing them right away asking for further confirmation and any type of guarantee that the booking went through. They responded a few hours later saying they confirmed with the hotel and sent me the hotel's confirmation number. They also sent me a text with a special "VIP" phone number to call if there were issues (the number was indeed different than their regular number). When I got to the hotel, check in was completely smooth! Not a single issue! I was in shock that I somehow managed to get a room in a 4 star hotel SO steeply discounted, especially from a site that so many were calling a scam. That being said, I'm not sure I would use this site to book anything outside of the country, or even outside of my state. The other negative reviews still make me wary. I'm giving them 4 stars for a couple reasons. 1) I have 3 separate confirmation numbers from them, and only one actually matches the hotels confirmation number format, and 2) they seemed to respond to emails rather quickly, but they included numerous grammatical errors and were rather vague, didn't help much to soothe my worries.
SCAM SCAM. Went to hotel on the day and traveluro hadn't sent our booking to the hotel at all. Called customer service with international number with huge roaming cost and was told it would be rectified. Called again & Was told twice that an agent would call me back but no result. Stuck at hotel for last 3 hours waiting for their response. Not sure if I book another hotel in higher price now and have to follow them up for refund. Better to avoid them.
I booked to save a whopping $60. We showed up at Marriott and they could not locate booking. Called Traveluro customer service #+1 *******798. You press 4 if you are having a problem and are at hotel. No answer! So in order to stay at the hotel we had to pay again! I have contacted Traveluro by phone and email and no answer. I have disputed the charge with my bank and waiting to see what happens. $1400 down the drain! Don't waste your time!

This is more of a warning than a review. I want to emphasize that this is not a legitimate travel agency; it's a scam and a den of thieves! It's high time the government stepped in to tackle such fraudulent businesses.
Our experience was a complete nightmare. We made a reservation online for December 12th to 13th, but what we received in confirmation was for December 22nd! The most absurd part? We were physically inside the hotel when we made the reservation.
To make matters worse, there's absolutely no customer service or agents to assist you. All they tell you is, "We will send you an email in 30 minutes," which, of course, you'll never receive.
Beware of these scammers and avoid them at all costs.
On arrival there were several issues with the hotel including loss of electricity. Talked to the management and they agreed to a cancelation and full refund but said that we had to tell Traveluro to actually complete the process. So we did, and for about two weeks they gave us the run around refusing to accept an email from the hotel manager where he explicitly stated that they authorized the refund.
In short, they kept the money and ghosted us because they stopped answering emails and phone calls.

The hotel I booked never received payment from Traveluro. I was then charged by Traveluro and hotel. When calling Traveluro customer service no one answers, phone just keeps ringing. Do not use this company and if by mistake you do, be prepared to file a charge dispute!
I booked a week stay in Florida and minutes later received an email saying someone booked that room "SECONDS" before me so I lost out and they are refunding my money. There are plenty of rooms available for my dates per the hotel so Traveluro lied. They simply had low rates that were not acceptable by the hotel. Now we wait on a refund. They take your money in seconds and who knows when I get it back

I'm not one for one-star reviews. They're often rants, and often about minor issues. With Traveluro, the issue is bigger: I made a reservation (via Kayak) with them at a San Francisco hotel, and when I got to the hotel they had no record of the reservation. Efforts to contact Traveluro resulted in an hour on the phone. Not "an hour." An actual hour. I was on hold 40 minutes, spoke to a representative who assured he'd deal with the problem, then put me back on hold for another 20 minutes before disconnecting me. Thankfully, I was able to make a new booking directly at the hotel (at a higher price). Traveluro did eventually contact the hotel... but still never put through the reservation. In fact, they gave me my "new" confirmation number -- which the hotel informed me was the reservation the *hotel* had made. I will notify Kayak to the effect that Traveluro should not be one of the travel entities on their aggregator site.

I was on the phone for 28 minutes. Agent was trying to explain to me how "shared bathroom" is only shared if I have a companion with me…
After insisting I don't want a room with a shared bathroom he promised that he changed it to a private bathroom, just to get the email confirmation that it's a Shared Bathroom.
Also, he promised that the final price includes any and all fees. Surprise surprise! There was an additional fee on top of the price, tax and fees that they quoted on the phone.
Do yourself a favor, book with a trusted company that doesn't play games and is upfront with you about any and all applicable fees.

Booked a room through them. Ascend in Marin. This is an unsafe motel. There rooms were red tagged by the county and there were homeless sleeping in the back. I asked to be refunded and they gave me a cancel number and a phone number to call. They could not even do it there. The phone number led me to 5 different scam numbers. Don't stay here.
Recently used Traveluro to book my stay at the Hilton in Rosemont. The booking went smoothly, and I received a voucher and everything. When I checked into the hotel, my reservation was set up, and marked as prepaid. However, Traveluro never paid the hotel. I received a call from the front desk that I had to settle the bill, as Traveluro declined my stay and canceled the transaction. Meanwhile, Traveluro stated that my stay was confirmed and active. Fortunately, I used one of my credit cards to book with them. Traveluro would not respond to my emails or calls, except to send me confirmation emails. After sending a receipt of payment where I personally paid the hotel to my credit card, the credit card dealt with Traveluro. They got me a refund, but it was only after I paid double for the room. Save time, don't use Traveluro.

I paid $390 for A hotel stay the hotel had roaches we moved two times and only stayed less than 24 hours. Hotel management really nice when I check out he said he would issue a full credit back $390 and now traveluro only want to give me back $120 dollars are they crazy?! We booked a spot and our power went out laptop lost connection so when came back up a hour later we just went and booked what we had up was off by a day, they won't refund or credit or help in any other way scam artist.
Tried to cancel hotel reservation 4 days in advance due to Covid-19. Emailed customer service with no response so I called and was told that someone would reply to me within 12 to 24 hours and of course that never happened. This is a BAD company and I would stay clear of them!
Scam company and will not give refunds during hurricane Ian
We cannot leave because we were in the middle of the hurricane and requested if they can give us a refund or credit which we will use for the company they ignored a request and stalled on the emails and said it is not possible. No ethics with this company especially during a hurricane where we cannot even travel and flights were cancelled. This is a company you Gotta be very cautious if by chance something happens in your looking to add the company for some assistance especially during a hurricane they absolutely will not be helpful and is a poorly run company
I was in the airport yesterday, which turned into one of the worst days in flight history with all the cancellations...including my flight. My friend and I had planned a trip to Vegas having never been. We booked a hotel via Traveluro and were so excited! Then our plane was canceled with no flight in sight to go out. I called Traveluro 3 times and all I got was a loop in recordings. It even said to "stay on the line to speak to someone" and nothing happened. I chose another option after calling several times. All it did was ring. I got on the website and sent a message to customer service. NOTHING. I firmly believe, like many other reviewers, that this so called company is a SCAM. Customer service is nonexistent. I will never go through them again. It was an expensive lesson that makes me sick to even think about right now.
I made a booking online by clicking the wrong date snd called to ask for an amendment. They first told they need to escalate the request to the reservation team and asked to check the email in an hour for an update. And they would say that the request can't be processed due to their policy. Even the hotel is willing to make the changes. After a few hours of back and forth they would still say no. I came down with COVID the week that I was supposed to travel, so I tried to push our hotel reservation back. The hotel said I had to contact Traveluro, so I first tried the website, and it said that it was non-refundable, and would not let me change the dates. So I called Traveluro and followed the prompts to talk to the right agent, and then it connected and hung up. I continued to try and, each time, it connected and I got hung up on. So I reached out to them again through the website in case it was an error, but did not hear back. I'm in the process of blocking the charge on my card because this isn't right. Big takeaway: never do nonrefundable reservations (if you can avoid it).
Prepaid for a hotel room through Traveluro. Upon check in, hotel advised that Traveluro didn't pay them, so I had to pay hotel directly. Emailed Traveluro twice with no reply. Called them while checking in and waited 45 minutes on the phone with no one answering. DON"T USE THEM. I even have an email from the hotel saying that no payment from traveluro was received which is why they charged me directly. No refund from Traveluro and no return call or email. Stay away.

I nake 20k a month and these people virtual card keeps declining for 69 buck but they charged me 81 buck very fast. They have put me in a very bad position and guess what, I'm still waiting outside. They promised a price 10% lower than that oneline booking websites. They charged my credit card. When I actually,checked-in the hotel, and the hotel had no record. I tried and failed to each their support... later I went through my emails, they actually cancelled my reservation.

I came to Charlotte to visit my sister after Christmas. Stayed from Monday to Thursday no hot water. Traveluro never forwarded my special request. I paid almost $400 and they only refunded me $20. Trust me avoid this site. They are worthless!

I booked an hotel with them, Ramada Boston and the place was a dump with broken furniture dirty and stinky carpet, I went to the front desk they switched me to another one that was worst than the previous room and i wanted a refund and was told to call traveluro but when i called them they did nothing to help me get a refund, they've sided with Ramada.

A fraudulent service of a company. Have travelled numerous times and booking a reservation with this company has been by the far the worst experience of my life. Despite the hotel being accommodating the people at traveluro refuse to do any real work when making and changing a reservation. Called numerous times for them to just hang up on me and pretend that they can no longer hear me. Emailed plenty of times and they do not respond. Terrible people and terrible service. Avoid booking with them at all costs regardless of the price. They will ruin your entire trip and waste a lot of your time. Stay a way!
