I used this site to book a local hotel about 5 days in advance. It was a great price, but non refundable. I didn't think much of it at first, but ended up googling reviews about the site since I hadn't used them before. There were so many bad reviews that my anxiety got the better of me. I ended up emailing them right away asking for further confirmation and any type of guarantee that the booking went through. They responded a few hours later saying they confirmed with the hotel and sent me the hotel's confirmation number. They also sent me a text with a special "VIP" phone number to call if there were issues (the number was indeed different than their regular number). When I got to the hotel, check in was completely smooth! Not a single issue! I was in shock that I somehow managed to get a room in a 4 star hotel SO steeply discounted, especially from a site that so many were calling a scam. That being said, I'm not sure I would use this site to book anything outside of the country, or even outside of my state. The other negative reviews still make me wary. I'm giving them 4 stars for a couple reasons. 1) I have 3 separate confirmation numbers from them, and only one actually matches the hotels confirmation number format, and 2) they seemed to respond to emails rather quickly, but they included numerous grammatical errors and were rather vague, didn't help much to soothe my worries.
SCAM SCAM. Went to hotel on the day and traveluro hadn't sent our booking to the hotel at all. Called customer service with international number with huge roaming cost and was told it would be rectified. Called again & Was told twice that an agent would call me back but no result. Stuck at hotel for last 3 hours waiting for their response. Not sure if I book another hotel in higher price now and have to follow them up for refund. Better to avoid them.
I booked a hotel room. They charged my credit card and sent me a confirmation text. When I got to the hotel they had no record of my reservation. I called the number on the confirmation text and got put on hold forever and ever and ever. Eventually I just gave up and paid for a room.
After my trip I called the number again and waited for ages and then got through. They told me I was a "no show" at the hotel despite the fact I paid for a room directly at the hotel because the Travel Uro reservation was fake and did not exist.
Any law enforcement please contact me to help bring this scam to the ground. I will testify in Court! I have endless time to destroy these people.
I have to say, I was a bit concerned after reading many bad reviews. I hot a great deal on a hotel through Treveluro. The service was great and worked exactly as I had hoped.

We booked with them for the Miami Airport Hotel. They didn't even make a reservation for us. When we asked for a refund, they said they would and then didn't. We had to dispute it through the credit card company.
I was charged for extra $50 when I check out at the hotel for my stay. I did not request any other services. I request a copy of my hotel receipt, and the room price is a lot less than what I paid for on the traveluro website. This website will lure you in with low price and a lot of fees are hidden. When I spoke to the customer service, her name is Chris btw, she directly implied that I should be responsible for all the extra fees or the terrible service I got because I chooser the lowest price offer. She is saying that I was wrong because I paid less. Also, when I spoke to her on the phone, she told me that the extra fee I paid was not listed on their website or my voucher and she said they will fix it. Then when I called again next week, they told me there's a note now saying that you need to be responsible for extra fees.
Ended up paying an extra $100!
Booked and paid extra for a double bed room. Got to the hotel and there was 1 king bed. Hotel had availability for me to switch but said I had to go thru the booking agency. Called Traveluro and was told that I booked for double occupancy, even though my confirmation clearly shows double bed and the increased rate. They refused to fix it. Next, Traveluro charged me for the resort fee. The hotel said they did not and charged me again. I tried calling to get a refund and no one answers the phone. I've called 10xs, still no answer. Over charged!
After spending hours looking for a good deal. I settled on booking a great deal with Traveluro on an upcoming Savannah trip. Everyone else was asking between $238-$489 a night. Traveluro was $190. I charge a three night stay on my charge card and the deal went through. I received my confirmation number and a detailed email of my stay. Not long afterwards with no apparent reason I was sent an email stating they were sorry but my card has been refunded. I can only guest they were too cheap on the deal and took back there offer. Buyer Beware!
Traveluro is a scam. I booked a room in Gulfport MS, when arrived the hotel has no record of this booking. I showed the "voucher" this meant nothing to them. I called traveluro customer service for over an hour, and only got ringing, no answer. Left call back number on website, still no call back. I had to rent the room directly from the hotel and paid full price again. It's been a week and still no contact from traveluro. I've tried calling everyday. TRAVELURO IS A SCAM!
I booked a hotel room through Traveluro. I paid $140. When I got to the hotel, they said that Traveluro failed to actually make the reservation and that actually they are notorious for it. I ended up having to pay for a hotel room through the hotel $75 (they felt so bad for me and gave me a major discount). I called Traveluro to figure it out and they said they would investigate and give me a refund once they confirmed the situation with the hotel. Did not give me a refund, did not call me back. I have now called them 4 times and still do not have my money back (it has been a month and half at this point). I will continue to fight for my refund but the time wasted on this is worth more that $140 at this point. Absolutely ridiculous, will possibly have to get my bank involved. I consider this a scam.
While searching on google for hotel with Parking, Holiday Inn (SFO) appeared along with this site traveluro. But at the hotel I was told parking is not included. I tried to talk with traveluro folks but they were right away dismissive of it.

I booked a motel and wasn't given an option for non refund. I got to the motel and they don't accept pets. Manager of motel said I will refund the 3rd party so you can get your money back. Told the person on the phone this she said I have to wait. Called 2 days later they told me no refund but the motel is refunding. Tell me how that works? This company gets paid 2 times for a room not used. Where is the integrity and good business operations. NOT WITH TRAVELURO. I had to get a room at another motel and now it seems I paid for 2 rooms for 1 night. Will never use them again.
Not sure how they operate but I booked a room and called the hotel a couple hours later and they had no knowledge of my reservation. I called Traveluro and they said to wait a bit since it was just booked. I asked them for the reservation confirmation number from the hotel. They provided me with a random set of digits that meant nothing to the hotel website. I called the hotel again maybe 12 hours later, and still no knowledge of my reservation. I contact Traveluro again to try and cancel/understand what's happening and I'm on hold for 20 minutes and counting.

I booked a room, thinking it was for the date i had needed before our flight. Turns out its the day of the flight. I contacted directly after i seen the confirmatoon date as soon as i paid.I asked if it can be changed to the day prior. Its not like it was a day or so later, it was literally minutes after i booked. Nope, not at all. Wont giv this business my business again.

These people are scammers. I booked my hotel reservation on their website for our family trip to Mazatlan then needed to change the dates of our reservation. I called them well in advance to make the changes and the first agent told me I would have to call the hotel to make sure they had the room available for my new dates and to make the change with them. I called the hotel, they confirmed they had a room available for us on the new dates however Traveluro would have to call them directly for the update. Called Traveluro back and provided the hotel contact name/phone number of who I spoke with.
The agent told me they would call the hotel and send me a new confirmation email. Instead I received an email from Traveluro advising me too bad so sad we cannot change your reservation! They instead kept my money. I had to file a fraud dispute with my credit card. Scammers! First time and only time I will use this site. Horrible!

They took the money and when I arrived the hotel was all booked. When I called the site my cancellation went to escalation then told me to wait up to 24hrs for a response.
I booked a hotel with Traveluro for a trip to FL. While there were many negative reviews, I contacted the hotel and they quickly confirmed my reservation. Perhaps it was a rough start for this booking agency, but I have to say my experience was flawless! Price was legit, booking was legit! Give them a chance to redeem themselves. I would recommend them and would use them again.
The operator refused to call Hilton customer service for me. Hilton customer service not the hotel said my room could be canceled but it had to be done by Traveluro not me because they did not have any of my information. Actually would give no stars but one is the lowest option. I asked to talk with a supervisor and was told there was none. I did send an email requesting a supervisor call me with no reply yet. I booked a hotel in Puerto Vallatra for 3 nights via TravelUro, and right before the trip, out of caution, I called up the hotel to confirm my booking and to my horror, they said they see the reservation done only for 1 night. I'm working with TravelUro customer service now, and wait time is 48 hrs to get it resolved. I did not have to run into this the first place.
I had booked a Florida hotel through their website. The price was 30% less than any other booking sites. My cruise dates changed and I needed to change the reservation date. I could not get ANY service or response from Traveluro
I called the hotel directly to change the reservation and the hotel said there was NO such booking under my name or Traveluro
No response again from Traveluro They took my money and ran with it. I kept getting the same response below (they were looking into it). I had to deal with my credit card company to stop payment.

Totally charged me 3 nights for 1 and then said they would refund and later wouldn't. It was night off and so I paid for a room and didn't use it bc they told me I would get a refund and then got no money back. They totally robbed me!

Let me preface this by saying I am pregnant and have a baby. Traveluro gave me 3 confirmations and when I got to the hotel they said Traveluro called 30 mins before my checkin and said that it was suspected fraud so the hotel cancelled my reservation I already paid for. After spending 1 hour and 20 mins on hold they said they never sent that call to the hotel and proceeded to keep me on hold for another hour. They then said they would email back once the issue was escalated in 30 mins to an hour…. The next day they finally sorted the problem and just refunded me. I got my money back so I can't be too upset, however it wasted 6 hours of my life and I had to quickly find a new hotel.

I had reserved 5 nites in JW Mariott in Cancun few month ahead of travel and prepaid. Had confirmation and receipt. On checking in, w service dog, found out they cancelled all nites without notification or money return. Had called their line twice, and front deck another 2 times, after greeting and providing choices, press1 if need this and 2 if you need that, they just were hanging up. After hour of this stress I had to make reservation on another site, which was more expensive, and proceed w checking in. Stay away from traveluro. Scam artists. Disputed w card.
The hotel NEVER denied us changing our date. The hotel was very friendly. Raelyn was a horrible representative. She should be fired. I called the hotel after I sensed some skepticism. They were please t and asked why I even dealt with traveluro. Raelyn was rude, obnoxious, she lied to us numerous times. She should be fired immediately. Never trust this site. I'm telling everyone I know never to use them. Raelyn was horrific.
It took me 3 more try's to get a hold of a supervisor in the escalation dept. I was denied a refund from 2 other people. I refused to give up because they stole my money. Finally got a hold of a guy named Even. This man was Fantastic, he understood the issue, he apologized, he was kind, and issued my refund. They need more people like him working there. Every single other person was horrible was rude and we're no help. Thank you EVEN! You deserve to be commended, find you a better company to work for. You deserve better!

Book through the hotel directly. If you want to adjust your booking dates, reschedule a trip, or checkout early they make it impossible to do so if you book through traveluro. When you book directly through hotels they are very accommodating and often will match or beat the online advertised prices should you ask.
