I used this site to book a local hotel about 5 days in advance. It was a great price, but non refundable. I didn't think much of it at first, but ended up googling reviews about the site since I hadn't used them before. There were so many bad reviews that my anxiety got the better of me. I ended up emailing them right away asking for further confirmation and any type of guarantee that the booking went through. They responded a few hours later saying they confirmed with the hotel and sent me the hotel's confirmation number. They also sent me a text with a special "VIP" phone number to call if there were issues (the number was indeed different than their regular number). When I got to the hotel, check in was completely smooth! Not a single issue! I was in shock that I somehow managed to get a room in a 4 star hotel SO steeply discounted, especially from a site that so many were calling a scam. That being said, I'm not sure I would use this site to book anything outside of the country, or even outside of my state. The other negative reviews still make me wary. I'm giving them 4 stars for a couple reasons. 1) I have 3 separate confirmation numbers from them, and only one actually matches the hotels confirmation number format, and 2) they seemed to respond to emails rather quickly, but they included numerous grammatical errors and were rather vague, didn't help much to soothe my worries.
SCAM SCAM. Went to hotel on the day and traveluro hadn't sent our booking to the hotel at all. Called customer service with international number with huge roaming cost and was told it would be rectified. Called again & Was told twice that an agent would call me back but no result. Stuck at hotel for last 3 hours waiting for their response. Not sure if I book another hotel in higher price now and have to follow them up for refund. Better to avoid them.
We booked the Royal York in Toronto via the Trivago site through a third party supplier named Traveluro. We received a voucher with a confirmation number. On the day of travel by air from Halifax, NS to Toronto we were advised that our reservation at the Royal York was cancelled because it was overbooked. We then phoned the Royal York and they advised that they were not overbooked and did have many rooms left and did not recognize our confirmation number. We then contacted Traveluro. We then contacted Traveluro who then again stated that there were no rooms available at the Royal York but offered us a room at a three star hotel called The Beverley. We reluctantly accepted this reservation because we were out of options.
Shortly after we were advised that our booking at the Beverley was cancelled due to overbooking and were offered a booking at the Double Tree which was currently under renovations. As a matter of fact you could barely gain entrance to the main doors of the hotel. Again we had no choice but to accept and that's where we stayed for three nights. The moral of the story is that when you're booking through a third party you don't have a confirmation #. As confirmed by the Royal York it's just a temporary confirmation and if there is high demand the third party reservations are cancelled.

A January KAYAK search for The Inn at Death Valley referred me to the Traveluro site which showed only one room left for a late March mid-week stay. I was in a hurry (my bad) and when I printed out my completed reservation paperwork. The Inn at Death Valley was featured in large bold print at the top of the first page. However, further down in the reservation, in smaller and non-bold print, the reservation mentioned The Ranch at Death Valley, which is where we actually ended up staying. The Ranch at Death Valley is a property owned by the Inn at Death Valley and about a mile away. While the Ranch at Death Valley was fortunately nice enough, I was disappointed in misleading way in which we ended up there. I spoke with three different Traveluro representatives over the phone; one was in a very noisy cubicle farm in the Philippines (I asked) and the other two sounded like they were working from home (one with a loud rooster near their phone). Non-US communications are not at all unusual, but in this case these conversations did not instill much confidence in the transaction. I checked with Inn (& Ranch) at Death Valley and after 20 minutes they eventually found my reservation. The delay was because Traveluro actually booked my reservation through Expedia. None of my Traveluro Booking or Confirmation Numbers were visible to the Inn (& Ranch) at Death Valley. I would imagine that this might make a cancellation difficult to process. In closing, while the Ranch at Death Valley was very nice, it was not the Inn at Death Valley at which I believed I was originally making a reservation to stay.
They are scams no booking is confirmed they took our money and we had to book and pay again with the hotel! Be aware
Thought I was booking directly with hotel but somehow Traveluro got involved. I've never heard of Traveluro until I checked my bank acct. And saw that was the company that the payment went to. The room I thought I was booking for 114.00 a nite ends up costing me 143.00! Called Travelodge and they could not find a reservation for me (and this was two days later). They explained that Traveluro wasn't a part of their company and to call them. Told them I wanted to cancel but there was no refund available for this booking. Bunch of standard replies and ended up that I must of clicked on the wrong button. Mostly I was worried that I had been hacked. I wasn't even aware that there was a no refund policy until I called and tried to cancel, as I never received a receipt or even a viable confirnation number until until I called.
Traveluro is a very deceptive company. Dont even click on their booking offers because I also found out that will lure customers in with a really low price that doesnt even exist. I feel sorry for all their employees who have to work for this company.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS YOUR HOTEL BOOKING IS NOT GUARANTEED!
On Sep 19,2022, I booked a one-night stay for Nov 29,2022 at the Aloft in Downtown Philadelphia through the Traveluro website to come to see a show. It was payment in advance, so I paid $209 and got the booking confirmation email from Traveluro.
On Nov 29, I arrived at PHI airport and took an Uber to the Aloft hotel around 4 PM. It was really cold.
When I got to the front desk I was told that my reservation "had been canceled" and I had no room booked. I had no communication from Traveluro about this and it was a complete shock.
I called Traveluro's "VIP Support Line" from the Aloft lobby and was on hold for about an hour.
After they finally answered I was told that "I had canceled the reservation". I never did this, obviously.
They said that they would call me back in an hour with a new room booked. An hour passed and they never did. I was getting nervous and the show I had flown in for would be starting soon. So, to have somewhere to stay, I walked in the freezing cold with my bag to the downtown Marriott hotel and paid out of pocket another $342.12. Something I hadn't budgeted for.
I understand that mistakes are made, but when I asked for some compensation to cover their error and the stress caused, I finally received this response this week (almost 2 months after the trip!):
"Please be advised that we are unable to provide any compensation for this booking.
Kindly note that compensation is subject to approval and not guaranteed."
It was an absolutely terrible experience and awful customer service.
If i could of given no stars I would of. Just terrible, almost left us w/o a room but took my $$$$$$
I booked a hotel a month before Family Weekend in our daughter's college town. I never got a confirmation email, only an email saying the room purchase was successful and the money had been taken out of my account. The day of check-in, I call the hotel to let them know we're on the way. They can't find my name (I spoke to three people), and they are fully booked with everyone expected already checked in. I call Traveluro customer service. They say they will call the hotel and figure it out, and to give them an hour. Two hours later we arrive to town and I haven't heard back. I call the hotel again, nothing has changed. They don't have any rooms and they don't have my reservation. I call Traveluro again and they give me a confirmation number. I call the hotel a third time. They have no idea what this number means. I make sure I'm calling the right place ( I am) and then I call Traveluro again. They tell me to give them more time. It's 8 pm at this point. I get lucky and find a room at another hotel for twice the amount I paid for originally. I book it. It isn't until the next day I hear back from Traveluro with another confirmation number. I ask for a refund. They pass it on to their "escalation team". They send me another confirmation number. This cycle happens numerous times and seems like it was designed like this on purpose to exasperate you until you give up. I still have yet to receive a refund and they are now saying the hotel I booked has never been sold out of rooms, which practically every room in town at every hotel had been booked for this event that weekend. I'm surprised I was able to book something at the last minute. Don't give these people your money. They'll overbook you and then gaslight you and leave you with nothing. Tell everyone.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use them!

None because I was not given the room I bought.
Booked on line only to realize they had put November instead of October. Would not change or refund.
They are not the cheapest price. They have zero customer service. And you can not cancel or amend your hotel booking

I will never use traveluro ever again!!!

I read all the reviews and comments on not to trust Traveluro. There were so many about hotels not being booked to correct hotel or not at all. I personally had a very different experience.
I booked a 1-night hotel 5 days in advance to when I needed it in Washington DC for $100 less than any other site offered. I had my doubts this was going to go well so I did some follow up with the hotel as well as with Traveluro.
1. I called the hotel immediately 7/13 after receiving email payment and booking confirmation receipt and verified they did not have my reservations.
2. I contacted Traveluro by phone and selected the "having issues immediately option". The phone did ring for a couple of minutes but eventually was answered by EJ who advised me he will follow with hotel and email me the verification.
3. I received an email follow up that reiterated what we talked about immediately.
4. The next day I received a second email advising who EJ talked to and the hotel confirmation number.
Still had doubts
5.2 days before my stay, I received a text confirming the booking and all paid.
6. The day before my stay I received another email from Travelero confirming my stay
7. After getting that email, I called the front desk of the hotel directly and they verified I do have a hotel room booked for the correct night and showing paid in full.
8. I had no issues at check in.
9. I had received a text after my stay from Travelero stating they hoped I got the most out of my stay and if any issues occurred to please contact them at *******798 which is the same number I had originally called.
I felt very relieved and was glad I did the follow up.

Never again! I should have read other reviews prior to booking. I booked with Traveluro because it was $10 less per night than other competitors. When I clicked the link via Google it automatically took me to the traveluro site. I easily booked my trip. When I got the email I saw that the dates were not correct. I'm assuming they did not come over correctly through google. I tried to readjust them immediately through the website but it said the booking was not able to be modified. I reached out to customer service after but the office was closed. I send a email that evening but called the following morning. I spoke to a representative who told me to "rest assured" that they would reach out to the hotel to adjust the dates. I did not hear back the next day so I followed back up. I was told to give it more time because it had to be escalated to a different department (to whom for some reason I could not request to speak with).
With the date of stay quickly approaching, I needed to have the issue resolved or find an alternate place to stay. I waited two additional days and reached back out and was told that I still needed to give it time. This went on for several days.
It wasn't until almost a week and a half later (the evening of the hotel stay) that someone finally reached out to me and told me they 'regretted to inform me' that the booking was non-refundable and there was nothing they could do. I asked if there were any additional options available since I was out $180 dollars for a one nights stay. They didn't have any options for a future credit, not even a partial credit. Nothing. Just "sorry you're out of luck".
I will never, ever do business with them again. The customer customer service experience alone is reason enough to avoid them at all cost.
Read reviews after I purchased my hotel room. I was a little nervous but everything went smoothly. EZ in EZ out of my hotel.
I have been trying to contact the company via phone email to make some changes on my reservation,NEVER got response
I will have to dispute that transaction!
After booking my room I saw all of the bad reviews. I got worried so I called the hotel to confirm. Everything was good. I had no problems at all
