I used this site to book a local hotel about 5 days in advance. It was a great price, but non refundable. I didn't think much of it at first, but ended up googling reviews about the site since I hadn't used them before. There were so many bad reviews that my anxiety got the better of me. I ended up emailing them right away asking for further confirmation and any type of guarantee that the booking went through. They responded a few hours later saying they confirmed with the hotel and sent me the hotel's confirmation number. They also sent me a text with a special "VIP" phone number to call if there were issues (the number was indeed different than their regular number). When I got to the hotel, check in was completely smooth! Not a single issue! I was in shock that I somehow managed to get a room in a 4 star hotel SO steeply discounted, especially from a site that so many were calling a scam. That being said, I'm not sure I would use this site to book anything outside of the country, or even outside of my state. The other negative reviews still make me wary. I'm giving them 4 stars for a couple reasons. 1) I have 3 separate confirmation numbers from them, and only one actually matches the hotels confirmation number format, and 2) they seemed to respond to emails rather quickly, but they included numerous grammatical errors and were rather vague, didn't help much to soothe my worries.
SCAM SCAM. Went to hotel on the day and traveluro hadn't sent our booking to the hotel at all. Called customer service with international number with huge roaming cost and was told it would be rectified. Called again & Was told twice that an agent would call me back but no result. Stuck at hotel for last 3 hours waiting for their response. Not sure if I book another hotel in higher price now and have to follow them up for refund. Better to avoid them.

Traveluro failed to pay the hotel for which I stayed so the hotel billed my card. I've been in a dispute for over 3 months now and fear I am just going to be the loser. Their customer service was a series of passed calls and no help in the end. Citi Credit Card cannot even make headway with them. Buyer beware.

In November 2023, I made a week reservation through Traveluro website & I realize the hotel was too far and could not make it to my reservation time. I've decided to cancel the reservation within the 24 hours time frame and ask for my refund. Unfortunately, this process was impossible. I've been trying for the past 3 months and nothing has been resolve. I also approximately $2,500. And Please be careful these Company only care about taking your money and they have the worst customer service.
Do not book with this site! It is a scam. They signed up for 3 days at a hotel in the middle of nowhere. On our 3rd day, the hotel staff told us we only had book 2 days. We showed them the email booking receipt and order but they said that we ordered from a third party and they are not responsible for that.
Told us that the company we ordered from has the money from our 3 day of booking and that we should contact them to get our money back. The hotel had no vacancy's so we had to drive 3 hours at night to another hotel.
Since then, we call everyday and have emailed several times and there is never an answer, hang up on us and do not responded to emails.

We arrived at our reservation, waited 1 hour with a baby in the car. After traveling 11 hours to be told at security gate they don't have our confirmation. Called and was told to wait one hour did not get to go inside the building and now we are in need of a place to sleep for the night. I need a proof of no show so that I can file a claim with the travel insurance I bought. I booked a hotel room but was unable to use it due to illness. I have called them 8 times and sat on hold for 15 mins only to be mysteriously disconnected. I think their call hold system automatically disconnects you after awhile. One time out of eight I did speak to someone on the phone. She was either very dense or fully aware of the scam they're running and said she needed a "supervisor" to get the proof of no show and that they'd send me an email within 2 hrs. They did send me an email that it does not even mention the proof of no show but instead mentions again that they have a "no cancellation policy." That's why I purchased the trip insurance! I'm beginning to think Traveluro AND XCover.com are apart of the same scam operation but I haven't investigated XCover yet.
This site offers discounted rates for reservations that are not guaranteed even though you will be given a confirmation number. After you book your reservation they offer you insurance on your reservation another scam. After my reservation was cancelled by the hotel I found out I had no coverage for that and after several attempts at reaching someone, it looks like I just made a donation to traveluro and their parent company Expedia. Maybe these types of rip offs are why Expedia is able to offer the deals they do off the backs of people they schemed on Traveluro. Smh.

They are absolute con artists who are very incompetent and only game pleasure in double charging you and making your life extremely hard. Just booked through the hotel all these scam websites are horrible and are going to charge you more than thr actual hotel but this one particular is very cruel and torturous in taking my money at Christmas, double charging me and have barely given me any sort of assurance that my money will be returne. It's damn near impossible to get on the phone with anyone and when you do get somebody on the phone they do not talk to you in a way to where they want to help you and they don't give you any instructions or ways they're going to make it right. I was double charged and I feel like I was stolen from, have not received my money back yet and they are a horrible horrible business. This should never be some place that you book through ever!

They, this company is absolutely ridiculous! I will not ever ever use this again and I strongly discourage anyone else as well. There system twisted my dates. My husband and I needed a room 1/14-1/15 1 night only. There system put 1/21-1/23. I didn't realize it until it took way too long for the hotel to get my confirmation, the hotel called them and those were the dates which was why the hotel didn't have my confirmation 😤😠🤬😡. I need my money back... and of course they are unwilling! They are A SCAM! DO NOT DO NOT USE THEM! There system is trippy!

Booked thru their website and put in 1 adult and the correct dates. Failed to double check the confirmation email only to realize a day too late that they reserved the wrong dates and incorrect number of people. Tried to fix it, but took forever to get a person on the phone. Got an email an hour later saying "per our policy that you agreed to we won't be giving you a refund or correcting the reservation". So I'm out money and can't travel now since I can't afford another hotel reservation.
Absolute garbage. Do not expect to get a live person on the call. The line just cuts off abruptly all the time. We had to cancel our trip due to a medical emergency. We did have travel insurance which required confirmation from the operator that we never used the booking. Unable to get a response from them on such a simple thing.

My daughter booked an appointment in advance of a Dr. appointment for her infant daughter at Children's medical hospital in Houston. She made the mistake of booking for the wrong night. She contacted Traveluro not for a refund but for a change of date. She has spoken to multiple people with the company to get the resolved and they are not willing to work with them at all. Not only are they out several hundred dollars but will have to leave home at 3:30am to get to a 7am
Appointment with a 7 month old. I understand there are policies, and they did not book insurance. But again, not asking for money back just a change of date. Please explain.
As most reviews of this site, I've had a negative experience.
I chose a date on the search page, then on the confirmation change the date was different.
Instantly called to have the dates fixed (even a cheaper price) and told their policy is no change available.
I called the hotel and they said they were able to without a problem, called my bank and they reversed the charge.

This booking company are crooks and robbed me. When I made the reservation their system changed my dates. Days later after traveling to our destination the Hegel desk said our dates are not for this day and to call the booking company I booked through. After calling the booking company over and over their automated system hung up on me five times until I pushed the make reservation option just for someone to answer. While talking to them the I could tell the were not going to change them or help me out after asking for a manager the refused to let me talk to one and eventually telling me they will call me back in 15 to 30 minutes and wait to look for our email around the same time. The lady. Vivian put me back on hold until she eventually drop the call on me. Stay far away from this booking company and never book with them no matter how cheap. I will be reporting them to Authorities, my bank, the hotel, the better business bureau and the state they are licensed in.

Out of panic, I had bought two hotel rooms for an event. One of the rooms was better than the one I booked through Traveluro. Didn't know I had booked a room that was non refundable or ANY modifications couldn't be made. What made it worse is trying to CALL. Don't even try. It literally leads you down a rabbit hole to put you on hold for a rep, then disconnects. Every single option to get to a rep disconnects, EXCEPT the booking line. That for some reason went almost straight to a rep, ready to take you money. They weren't clear about no modifications or non refundable. Very small print when booking. All I can say is, save your hundreds of dollars.

Had a "verified booking" and the hotel ended up being completely sold out with no room reserved for me. Traveluro "could not" get me another room at another hotel. Has been over a year since this happened and Traveluro says they are still "working on" getting me my refund - still nothing, and the customer service has now gone silent. Stay far away from this company!
The website defaulted to the month of February and I accidentally made a booking for the wrong month.
I contacted traveleuro a minute after my booking was made and was told I can't be assisted!
Then I was advised my booking can be "amended " but I will have to basically pay for a new booking.

Booked room for 1 night for $104 and paid taxes and fees of $54. After check-in was told $45 for parking per day. Then weeks later got another $35 on credit card in the name of resort fee. Super shady business. Just stay away.

I booked a hotel with traveluro, but upon arriving, there was no reservation. I booked a room at the hotel anyway. After several phone calls. A majority of hang-ups. After being on hold, I finally got an agent, who was polite, but not very helpful. Traveluro sent the reservation to the wrong hotel and then claiming I went to the wrong hotel. Wasn't even in the same city! I would not trust Traveluro to book any hotels for me. Low price does not always equate to fair or equal service.
This site did not provide corrected information to the hotel, so I got double charged. The customer service promised me 24-48 hours of response time for cancellation, which is their strategy to push you off. Have three phone calls, and several email exchanges with them. Nothing happened.
