I wish I could give them zero stars!
Worst company ever! Customer service is extremely poor and you just go round in circles. Basically had to block my card and contact my bank for fraud while on holiday! They ruined my trip!

DON'T BOOK WITH THEM, pay that bit more money and book with another company.

Booked flight

Honestly, I don't know what people are talking about that trip.com is a scam. I booked a flight on trip.com to Chicago, IL round trip for $206. And everything went smoothly. But one thing I have to say tho. I was on their $#*! a lot. I call them twice a week just to check if my ticket is still there. And the day before my flight I called them and got my confirmation number and check-in at the airline website. Went to Chicago and back home with no problem! I had a great experience with trip.com!

Trip.com Hideous!

Trip.com denied in writing that they could not refund my tickets. I contacted the airlines and they said Trip.com is our agent and therefore must refund the tickets. They also added that if it were issued through them it is eligible for a full refund due to the pandemic. I contacted the Customer Service again and she said, after putting me on hold for 15 minutes that she could not find any policy from United Airlines... Wow!

I was booking a hotel stay, after submitting the payment info received a message that the payment did not go through so I enter the payment info again, received two booking confirmation emails for the same stay and was charged twice. They refuse to cancel the one booking, sent me an email offering 10% return with an audacity telling me that this is not a lot of money. Clear scam!

Trip.com stole my money! I bought a flight ticket from them to fly with Qatar Airways and my flight was cancelled. Qatar Airways issued me a refund voucher to be refunded by trip.com since I bought the ticket from them and paid it to them. The agent Mia from trip.com lied to me in a lot of emails and assured me that Qatar Airways misinformed me and I should use the voucher for travel because is non-refundable.
When I tried booking with the voucher Qatar Airways confirmed that I MUST be refunded by my agent, that is trip.com!
I informed trip.com that they have to refund me according to Qatar Airways, they claimed that Qatar Airway is wrong, but after checking with several departments in Qatar Airways they all confirm that trip.com is obliged to refund me since I bought the ticket from them.
They have wasted my time with false promises for almost a year now, they took my money for a flight that never happened!

I just booked a ticket from Auckland NZ to LAX for 12th February. I panicked after reading negative posts so I contacted Trip.com customer care no 7848-96-7107. Immediately. It turned out I panicked for nothing. My ticket was issued as I was communicating with customer service. They were very helpful. I did click the button to "expedite." Not sure if it had anything to do with ticket being issued immediately. Hope this helps. It does appear they are legit so I would use Trip.com again.

Trip.com is an awful company to deal…
Trip.com is an awful company to deal with. I couldn't add a wheelchair to the flights I booked for my 81 year old mother. I couldn't cancel the ticket, as I would have only got a refund on the £24 airport tax I paid. Then I found the same flight £130 cheaper directly with British Airways. I'll never again use Trip.com, they are a greedy bunch. Save yourself some time and money and book your travel elsewhere, this company is shambles.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Incompetents who lie and change version all the time. NEVER book with them, always book with the airline because if you need to add luggage they will deny the request and blame it on the airline. When I asked for a 17 euros refund, they told me they could only offer me half of it, which shows how pathetic they are. Will NEVER be a customer again, I hope they go bankrupt.

Namely, I booked the hotel through Trip.com, but it happened that I chose the wrong date (one day too late). I was immediately noticed as soon as I received the confirmation email and contacted to move my reservation by one day (I've contacted them 5 minutes after reservation). Support set in contact with me, but they kept telling me that they would come back to me in an hour, then in two hours, then in two days. In the meantime, I contacted the hotel to check if rescheduling is possible and they said that rescheduling is completely free of charge once. After two days, I received a reply from Trip.com that they could not reschedule, even though I explained that it was a mistake and that I had contacted them immediately. I also mentioned that I would accept other available date thank planned or voucher or any other type of settlement. They just left me to wait again and the day before the trip they announced that they would not move it without any further explanation.

I booked a trip on Trip.com several days ago. When I went to review my flight details in the email confirmation I realized that the outbound flight was not what I thought I had booked. Fortunately I added a Cancellation Guarantee Package which was inexpensive. When I contacted customer service about the error they responded quickly and explained everything in detail and clearly. They are processing a refund and I can rebook the flight. I used Trip.com for a flight in June and was very satisfied. Great prices, great service. Will use them again for future travel.

I booked flights to KL in March which were then cancelled by the airline due to the virus. I had to contact Trip.com to ask about my refund, they emailed to say I would get a refund. I waited for the ten days but no refund, then 30 days, still no refund.

I emailed Trip.com and they just send the same reply each time to wait 10-30 days. Absolutely appalling customer service, at the end of the day that is my money, not theirs. I still haven't received a refund to date and I am not holding my breath that I ever will. It's sad that companies like this exist and get away with stealing peoples money. I will NEVER use Trip.com again and will advise everyone I know to steer clear.

My flight was cancelled by airline company due to pandemic. Trip.com refused to give a refund even though that airline was providing refunds. The only thing that was advised to reschedule the fly until April 30,2021. Last week I tried to one more time to ask for a refund because I read on the air flight company site that they are processing refunds and got an answer that the tickets are expired. How it is possible? I cant reschedule the trip because this airline company stopped to flight to Toronto and I don't see when it will be back.
I had scheduled with other online booking company different flights that were also had been canceled, but there got ALL money back.

Will never use again. They misspelled my wife's name then refused to correct it. Basically they stole $800. There was no solution to the problem, no refund, no help. We had to buy a new ticket through the airline.

BAD BAD BAD SERVICE

No online incheck possibility if you buy ticket through trip.com and at airport where I start my travel no incheck possible for my transfer flight from Madrid to Amsterdam. Office of trip.com not available. Lousy company.

A nightmare

Needs a ZERO
April 12, 2022

Booked my rental car. Flew to Hawaii and went straight to Hertz to get my car. Trip.com had me listed as an international driver and reported I had an Asian driver's license (I'm American). Booking for rental car could not be used. Could not contact trip.com because they are in Singapore and they were closed. Had to get a ride to the hotel and re-book with another company that was much higher than I was originally planning to pay.
Trip.com is a SCAM!

Coronavirus

Don't refund all tickets, please don't use them for the next 6 months. We have lots of flights booked with them in the past and future but this will hurt us greatly as trips.com will not refund most tickets

Don't book your ticket via Trip.com or you will be the scammed with thousands of dollars.
I booked a direct flight tickets for my family but Trip.com send me a wrong flight schedule after charged my credit card.-they don't send you any confirmation email before take your payment. I've contacted them immediately after receiving that wrong ticket, the customer service said will get me an update within 24 hours. I waited almost 72 hours and there was no update. Couldn't wait further so I called them instead. After a number of calls in the last two days, finally a manager gave me a
Rubbish solution as we have to pay extra $1000 to amend the original $1200 ticket! Or we will have to travel with my 8 month old baby on a transfer flight and land in the destination at 11pm! Perhaps we also have to spend more money to stay one more night in the hotel.
Absolutely crap service!

Awful company, I am so disappointed in the level of service. I had booked a flight, the airline changed times meaning I wouldn't be able to catch the second connecting flight, they offered me a refund and then refused the refund after I'd booked another flight with them! The same thing has now happened with the second flight and they are no help at all. I am now having to fight to get two refunds totalling over £1000! Please do not book with them to save a little money!
