Received confirmation that our hotel was confirmed. I called the hotel a few days later to provide our arrival flight details however the hotel representative was not able to locate the reservations. We called Trip and spoke with an agent and was provided with a case number after reporting the issue and was informed that everything will be taken care. Received an email from Jenny Lin - Customer Support, two days later that the room at the hotel was unavailable. We chose the specific hotel for its location as we had a flight to catch the next morning. We ended up having to call another hotel directly to reserve our rooms and we did received our refund from Trip. A lot of time wasted in this wild goose chase! Trip.com- Your lousy operation and inadequate organization is causing a lot of inconvenience but most importantly your company should not put your employees/staff in these positions where they have to deal with complaints through no fault of theirs but is a result of poor management.

I booked round-trip flights for July to the wrong destination (Calgary instead of Lethbridge, whoops!). As soon as the email came through and I noticed it was wrong, I called trip.com's customer service number and was told that my flights were final, subject to no changes or refunds. I called WestJet, who told me that flights could be canceled and fully refunded as long as it's done within 24 hours of the booking. I called trip.com back and they conceded that the 24-hour-full-refund was indeed a policy. But then they told me they would put in a refund request, BUT COULDN'T GUARANTEE THAT IT WOULD BE FILED FOR UP TO 24 HOURS. It's now hour 18, and I haven't been refunded, I've spoken with them again today, and they said they will call me in 4 hours to discuss the status of the claim. I'm convinced they're trying to wait me out until I no longer qualify for a refund. Don't book with Trip.com. They are sneaky and greedy.

First time to engaged thier services but end up with a really bad experience. Bought 2 tickets with an adult and a child to USS by using SRV, upon checking out, there is no payment require and the confirmation if booking had been sent to the email.

The very next day the customer officer called up my the other half as the booking is under her name. Said that the booking for the child was not successful and require to re-book the child ticket again, but I already use up the $70 SRV. In short, if I re-book the ticket again, the fees for the child is already equivalent to an adult ticket. Also strange that, the confirmation email had been missing inside the inbox.

Had called up, but they refuse to share the data but insist that I never make a booking and refuse to compensate too. Upon writing this review, the complain about this cases is still been on going and there is numerous of customer officer to get involve without knowing what is going on.

I'm short, my advice is not purchase anything from this website, do it at your own risk.

Please don't bother to use the services of Trip.com. Yes you can get the cheaper rates, but if there is an issue the only thing they will do is give you some reasons for not resolving the issue in their favor. The customer support team may seem to be helpful, however every person will have a different response over the phone and if you email them, the only thing they will keep asking for is proof.

Personal Experience
- booked a Singapore Airlines ticket
- Singapore Cancelled the 2 out of 4 flights initially [later the remaining 2 as well]
- Trip.com phone support asked to submit a cancellation which I did, saying that they will act according to the instructions by Singapore Airlines
- Checked with singapore airlines and got an email from them saying that I am eligible for full refund and that I should contact trip.com
- Trip.com offered a partial refund [just taxes] asking for a proof of advise by Singapore Airlines, which was sent to them.
- Now after 8 months they are saying that I am not eligible for a refund

So save yourself from these scammers.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

These people told me three times my flight times change only for me to get there and IT DID NOT CHANGE I would have missed my flight listening to them! I WILL NEVER BOOK ANYTHING with Trip.com AGAIN!
Also I tried calling Frontier Airlines to check and see if the flight had indeed changed and these people were equally horrible they away from them as well.

We were planning a trip to Switzerland, came across the website and it had great prices (should have been the red flag) booked a double room with Swiss Star through them. It was a self check-in apt-hotel. We just got a confirmation email from trip.com and never received an email with details for the check-in date. Get to the hotel try to reach out to customer service from the hotel and trip.com and nothing. Spent several hours outside the hotel with my sister trying to reach them for the lock-box code to get the key and still nothing. Watched other customers also experience the same thing we were on that very day. Finally we booked another hotel room via booking.com (more expensive but definitely reliable). Once we returned from our trip, we reached out to Trip.com for a refund and they offered to reimburse us 24euros because it was our fault we didn't check-in (we never got an email for the check in). Several phone calls later and they still won't fully refund us, with the new reason being we didn't call the hotel the day before our check-in date (even though, it clearly stated in their confirmation email that they would reach out to us with the check-in details).

Scammer! Do not recommend
May 24, 2022

Purchased return flight from Nepal to Syd for $2363. After 1 week of purchase, my plan to return changed so requested for refund, however, the company refused refund. No option to full/partial refund or transfer. I was advised I can move the date of return flight to different dates with minimum service fee, but then I was asked to pay $1000 extra to change the flight date which is double the amount for one way, like buying a new ticket. I asked them to process for refund even though I will receive only tax. But then it was not processed which I came to know on the day of my return flight after receiving an email form airlines reminding to check in. Spoke to the customer service officer in trip.com only to be advised to let the flight be as it is and the airlines will cancel. Doesn't it mean no refund at all? Told the customer service officer that I asked to process refund 2 weeks before the flight and I want to process it no matter how much refund I get. But they haven't refund me at all even after all this time. Such as scammer! Never gonna use this agency! Do not suggest anyone to use them!

Firstly they charge a exorbitant cancellation fee.

The airline cancellation fee is 4500 INR and trip.com charged 4600INR for cancellation.

Then we took a waiver from the airline on the cancellation amount but the money had to be refunded from trip.com. I explained my issue atleast 20 times to the customer care. They couldnt understand.

Thanks to vistara they spoke to trip.com directly to get my money back

Horrible Experience

They give you 30 minutes to reserve and pay. I entered my card information 4x's on one card and it didn't go through. I entered a total of 3 cards and it didn't go through. I contacted customer service and had to listen to fire trucks in the background. The representative kept me on the phone until I had 7 minutes left to pay. Then the representative had me enter my card again and the same issue. I asked to escalate the issue to a supervisor. The representative kept me on hold until I had less than 2 minutes to pay and told me that a supervisor wasn't available, the rate had increased by 200%, and to try again later. I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. The representative had the nerve to insult me by saying that I couldn't afford the room. I wouldn't be trying to book the room if I couldn't afford to pay for it. Don't waste your time or money. I ultimately went to another site, got the same room at a cheaper rate and booked it with no problem.

I booked a flight from MCT to Singapore and the airline delayed one of the flights. I was eligible to cancel the flight as per the airline COVID flexible policies but the request for cancellation must come from the Agent (i. E. Trip). So I contacted Trip and they agreed to submit the cancellation request. However after more than 12 business days there has been no response, so I contacted the airline directly to find out that Trip never submitted the cancellation request. The airline couldn't process my request directly without Trip's authorization.

Misleading dishonest

The price advertised did not include any of the fees they charged. At checkout it was much more expensive then just booking the flight thru the airline. Waste of time. Also Taipei is in Taiwan.

I recently decided to use trip.com but it was the WORST mistake anyone could make. I went to legoland castle california and their website showed the different room themes and types you can pick out. We picked out our room and we got to the hotel and they gave us a different room not the one originally picked out. It's been a week and I have shown proof and screen shots and tell they say is that I was showing them pictures of Denmark. How ridiculous do you have to be accuse of someone showing you pictures of a different place when they clearly didn't book for that place. It's been. Nothing but back and fourth and they don't want to acknowledge their mistake.
The room originally wanted was the dragons and knights with the dragon as and knights pictures they have 3 of them on display to see.
So obviously it's false advertisement.
I mentioned this to my brother who is a lawyer and he actually said that the agency can actually be sued for false advertising and based on their customer service policy as well.
They do not follow their own guidelines nor policies. I've read on many other reviews and they have been the worst.
Please do NOT use them.
Zero stars if able to.

I booked a flight through Trip.Com. It said that the payment has been processed and that I will receive a confirmation email in a few hours. Nothing came through and when I called them they could not find any record of my booking. By then the price of the flights had gone up significantly and they could not assist at all.

I have been trying for almost a month of contacting services due to mixed up in the app and the name was change but same surname but ID is present and been stored on the form so no way to use different person. However despite of too many time contacting the team and the PAL express nothing is solve, Cannot Refund, cannot change name so in short NOTHING TO DO! I am frustrated as been using service for hotels and flights and despite of this nothing is done yet! They should just tell us that they will just get the money and not willing to change anything so IT DIDNT waste our time. NOw we have to pay more expensive tickets as no more flights that easy to buy this week to come. Terrible! Stressful! PAL express never again as well as keeps telling us to contact trip com then trip com telling us to contact PAL or wait for PAL express. VERY frustrating.

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE TO BOOK ANYTHING. Trip.com is horrible. They stole $578 dollars from me. I book a trip with them and they did not send the information for the trip until the last minute and when they did they dates were wrong. They also changed the name on the tickets because I used my email to create an account. I immediately called them to change the name back and they refused.

Highway robbery!

My flight was cancelled by the airline, not me. Trip.com guaranteed a full refund then same story as the rest. Many calls. Guest service saying they'd talk to airlines dot dot dot. No refund.

I booked a trip for a week, ended up staying several months, the secluded woodie area was wonderfull, lots of small wildlife, staff and management were awsome. Rooms are clean and cleaned daily.

Ruined holiday lost 1000's dollars!

Stay away if you want to keep your hard earned money and not be taken for a ride - my connecting flight was canceled and no other flights available within the free time frame. Would have to pay a new tickets and hotels in a strange country plus the original ticket who knows when that money will return as when I asked they said quote, 'ohh we can't tell you times of refunds', unprofessional language - opted out as with two children / unhelpful staff with the same copy and paste emails, they don't answer direct questions. Connecting flights won't refund only a small portion as it's a different airlines so trip.com say! But will be emailing the individual airlines myself. A holiday that we have planned for a year to see family that we haven't seen in 3 years because of Covid is ruined and we are 1000's of dollars out of pocket. I don't know how this company is allowed to function. But will continue to email the other airlines and my bank - total scam.

Will not be emailing who the have requested me to email! That's who I had been emailing for days that gave me the run around and not being ran around anymore and patronized with petty responses with zero solutions. Credit card company contacted! With never in my life use Skyscanner or trip.com so long as I breathe! That's extends to family and friends!
