I read the reviews but decided to give trip.com a chance but I was totally wrong, I have booked a hotel for my vacation in egypt and got the confirmation instantly, but guess what, calling the hotel itself they said there is no reservation, decided to chat with trip.com again and they said they will confirm, 3 days later they confirmed, so I called the hotel again and guess what, no reservation still, worst experience ever, Imagine me arriving to other country and the hotel says no reservation, I escalated and canceled my booking, don't ever book with them again! Unless you want to ruin your and your family plans! Totally scam!
Booked a hotel a couple of weeks out, paid in full and got email with all confirmation numbers etc. Thought all was good.
24 hours before arrival get a message saying that the booking "has been cancelled" with no explanation as to why. Called the Hotel and they have no record of the booking ever being made. With Covid, could not get an equivalent hotel at such short notice. As I had people coming from out of town, I had to quickly book something and ended up with a really crappy hotel. Due to such late notice, I then had to pay a massive premium for this cheap hotel. Don't know if I will ever get a refund.

Its been over 6 months fighting to get a trip.com credits or refund, but they are refusing! I booked 12 nights at Grand Nile Tower and that place was nasty I have picture proofs. The hotel staff wore rude and asked me to leave and they said to call trip.com and they will refund me. I had to leave in the middle of the night in a foreign country looking for a place to stay and had to pay premium because I walked in desperate for a place to stay. Yet trip.com said your booking was non-refundable. I explained why I left. And I received 0 service how are you charging me over a $1000 for nothing just because I blindly booked a place that looked good in pictures! The are thief's they keep blaming on the hotel and the hotel keep blaming on trip.com and this is how the steal your money! Don't ever book through them unless you are cool to watch your money go to waist. Please see the pic and see if it should belong to a 5 star hotel! This was during COVID!

I tried to book a room with trip.com, gave my payment information, but then they wanted to send me a code for verification. The code didn't come right away, so I clicked "Resend" multiple times to no result. There was a box that said "cancel," so I canceled and booked with another company. Next thing I get an email from trip.com that my booking is confirmed. I tried to call, and got the runaround. I then called the other party to see if I could cancel with them, and despite the fact I had completed the booking with them, they very graciously canceled, which is what trip.com should have done instead of giving me the runaround.
So I booked The Hotel Courtyard Pasay in Manila based on nice photos, then got there and was lead to an absolute S hole of a room! I am not exaggerating when I say you step through the doorway and trip onto the bed. The room could barely fit the bed, let along anything else. They call it a hotel, but the bathroom was not even on the same floor! Dirty, dingy, filthy place. I turned the key right back in, and got my driver to take me elsewhere. Not surprisingly, a hotel that puts up phony pics is also not willing to refund my money, but VERY SURPRISINGLY, is Trip.com not standing behind me through this fraudulent activity. Do NOT use Trip.com for anything! Someone in authority needs to strip them of a business license and put them in jail.

I was unable to check in on the flight due to a transit visa. Other passengers in the same situation as me were able to change their tickets to the new route, but I couldn't because of trip.com. trip.com agents always replied, "this ticket is non-refundable". Everyone flew, and went home, but I couldn't get on the plane. Don't use Trip.com, the worst call center, worst travel agency ever.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Turned up to the airport for the start of my honeymoon to be told we were not on the flight. We had to pay €600 to get on the flight which ruined our honeymoon as we had to cancel excursions as the €600 was the money we were using to pay for these. After many phone calls, 6 weeks later we are still being told by my trip.Com to be patient. Absolute robbers! AVOID! They steal your money and refuse to help it issue a refund! Absolute disgrace and a total scam!

I made a booking and they made my wife's name inverted in reverse order. When I reach out to trip.com they came back saying it is not possible to fix it at their end and I need to reach out to Vistara (airlines). When I reached out to Vistara (airlines) they say it needs to be fixed by trip.com.
When I ask trip.com to change it, they want to me to cancel the booking and book a new ticket. Whole thing feels like a big scam. Why do I need this kind of stress couple of days before my travel. Please stay away from this site.

I booked a hotel during the Texas Winter Storm recently and i was unable to stay there due to severe road conditions. The Manage Booking option online would not allow me to cancel the hotel booking indicating that the charge was nonrefundable. I contacted customer service and the agent had rehearsed and scripted reasons for every comment I made to get my money refunded. What a shame taking advantage of winter storm victims.

I disputed part of my booking with trip.com with my bank as I was charged the wrong price, so trip.com cancelled my flight but kept the $1,700 I paid for the flight, they said if I cancel my charge back they'll refund me, so I did and now they won't refund me.
I'm now trying to get my stolen money back through my bank.

Takes 2 minutes to purchase a ticket for them to debit you, but it takes 30-120 days to refund you if there is a cancellation. They also don't give a full refund they a 75% refund even with cancellation insurance.

This is a rip off site! This is a company based out of China. If you book hotels or anything through them and you can no longer use the services they will keep ALL of your money! No cancellation fees just keep ALL of your money. I paid for a $200 hotel stay for 2 days and was hospitalized so I called the hotel to cancel and they wanted to cancel the reservations immediately but I went through trip.com. They refunded my money back to trip.com and after sending in all verification asked by trip.com they still kept ALL of my money and said the hotel never refunded them. The Hilton Hotel said they refunded trip.com immediately. It's been a month and they still refuse to refund me any of my money. Stay far away from this company! Buyer Beware!
They don't honor their commitment. They rescheduled a cancelation flight without my permission of the change. Resulting in my paying out of pocket another seperate ticket. Than they sold my seat to someone else.

Do not book with Trip.com! This Is the absolute worst site to Book any travel through! I booked a room June 29,2020 to a Hotel outside of Atlanta to only realize a few minutes later that the booking was in the wrong Hotel. I Called their customer service and immediately tried to cancel the room. I was told that my request would be sent to the review board and see if they could refund my money back to Discover. On July 8th I saw the charge on my card and called them back to see why. I was told ooh Sorry, so sorry we can not refund your money. I said why. And he told me that they decided it was non refundable. An absolute waste of time talking to that person. All he kept saying is Oh sorry! I will NEVER book anything with them again! If I could give zero stars I would! Save your time and book with a reputable company that works with their customers and wants repeat business. I travel a lot, this was the first time using them and the last.
I booked my trips via Trip.com in early 2020 but due to COVID, the flight was cancelled. Submit my refund request on the same year but till now, still haven't get my refund. Empty promises on refund being made by Trip.com again and again. Even to my surprise, when I tried to search for my booking number after login to Trip.com, it was magically and shockingly disappeared. Luckily I still kept my email conversation with them. Tried email them also no reply. Call them and they will keep telling you because of COVID the volume has increased and will take long time to process. I guess may need to take 20 years to process.
So my sincere advice is, try to avoid using Trip.com for your booking. They have been provenly proved unreliable. During good time, they just want your business and during bad time, they are the first one to run away from you.

Booked a room at hotel in Columbus, Ohio. Get there and the reservation had been cancelled due to a problem with plumbing issues at hotel. Was never notified and I had to go to another hotel. The hotel would not give me my money back and said that it would be refunded to Trip.com. Now Trip.com will NOT credit my credit card for the cancelled room. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company, But they have said that Trip.com will NOT provide them the information or allow the claim to be settled.

Answer: Do not book with them. If anything happens and you need to modify your booking they will not help you. They have canceled people's bookings at the last minute as well. This company is all about the money. Once they have your payment they are done with you. DO NOT book travel arrangements with them. Read the reviews and I'm speaking from experience. The price is good but if anything happens they will take your money and will not help you.
