Had the misfortune of missing my connecting flight due to long line at passport control. There were 2 hours between the flights. Now my whole ticket is cancelled. $1500 lost, talked to their agents over 10 times today. If you need any kind of support or change or if you have to pay for a penalty due to change that is out of your control then good luck! They are useless. Spent 12 hours on the floor as you can see waiting for an email from them to pay the penalty which never came, alternative flight also gone and return ticket is gone due.

DO NOT USE THEM! I have had a refund that was happily sent back to me from Frontier Airlines, and Trip.com will not refund me. They used their own card to pay for the flight, and so the money went into their account. It's ridiculous and unprofessional. You deal with multiple people, and go in circles. When you finally get through on the phone, you get no managers or real answers, but get promised a follow up call or email that never happens. I have been emailing them for weeks now, and still have not received my refund. Extremely frustrating and infuriating. I have emailed them all the proof of the refund, including all communications with Frontier Airlines, and they still have my refund. Please do not use them for anything. Find a different booking site.

Never use Trip.com!

You will lose your time and money. Never ever again. They sell flight booking, but they don't have any agreement with Ryanair. Straight after my payment I have received information from Ryanair that: "Trip.com is a travel agent who has no commercial relationship with Ryanair to sell our flights. Therefore, Ryanair has blocked this booking"

The worst experience I ever had
December 16, 2022

I bought a flight ticket from TRIP.COM and my first flight has been cancelled, so I missed connecting flight and returning flights too. They did not provide me any replacement, I called their customer number which says we just worked 9-5 Singapore time and I tried to get a change flight through their App several times, but they did not do anything for me. They ruined my whole plan for vacation. I just disputed that charge from my credit card and I hope at lease get my money back. If not I will try to sue them. This company is fraud. Avoid it and never reserve a flight by them.

Scammers
June 4, 2023

They are scammers, don't book with them! They wrote on their website there is 24/7 live chat support but that is just a bot who can't answer any of your questions. The email support is sending you just automated script emails and again not answering your questions. You can't get a person on the phone either. My flight was delayed which resulted in me missing my next flight. I sent them the screenshot that proves that but they keep denying it. So unprofessional! They're trying to make you crazy and tired so you give up on your rights and refund!

Do NOT use this company! I have multiple screenshots of my correspondence with this company after being downgraded a room at a hotel. The company argued with me and offered me points. They really thought I'd trust them with my money when they didn't correct a very serious issue? One that affected my anniversary none the less! Yeah this is the first and last time I used them! Booking.com… I'm coming home baby! Trip is a joke! Not worth the price discounts for poor customer service, listening skills, and resolution.

Dishonest Practices

I made a hotel reservations in the website after booking a airline ticket in Singapore Currency. There was no indication that the hotel rate was in US dollars! I did a cancellation in less then a week's time after I realised the Currency difference when I had a suspicion on the cheap rates of the rooms as compared to other websites. They gave a refund to my credit card with $114 dollars lesser then they have charged! I felt so cheated!
I tried to remove my credit card from the account and realised it is non functioning due to slow connection at all times!
Do be wary when making reservations in this website. I learned a hard lesson! I am considering going to the small claim court regarding their bad practices!

Worst support ever. Respond the next day without any solutions. Changed my flight destination to another country without my agreement while another options I've found easily. And the worst I cannot speak with airlines directly because I have paid to "travel agent" who gives a $#*! on their customers.

Worst ticketing agent ever!

I am alerted that my flight is cancelled by airline. When I reached out to trip.com customer contact that the flight has to be done since it is very urgent, they said no replacement flight is available. I insisted that they should help my flight happened as I booked through them, they said they are just ticketing agent and cannot help with anything. There is simply nothing they can do. The best is to apply for refund which cannot be mentioned how long it will take and not sure it will happen or not. They the most irresponsible service provider I have seen so far. Now, they dont even respond to my mails. Such a fraud company indeed.

Price Match is a Scam

They are scammers. The Price Match Guarantee is a joke and they do not approve it even if you have a confirmed booking with another company for the exact same hotel. Then they take 3 weeks to refund your money so they are drawing interest on it as they sit on it. They do not respond for the price guarantee either you have to continually check back with them. The do not send a confirmation email of the price match challenge so there is no record for them to have to honor anything. They will find any reason to deny it even if you provide them screenshots of the new booking on another site. Use Hotels.com or One Key/Expedia you get better pricing and honest results to tricks and scams. Also I tried to comment on thier Facebook page and they blocked me. BUYER BEWARE!

This is a horrible third party site. They have terrible customer service. I booked a flight to Alaska that cost me 663$ but once I checked in I learned the flight only cost 317$. When I found out trip.com only paid Alaskan airlines less than half what they charged me I reached out to them. I spoke to multiple representatives asking why would they charge an addition ~345$ for their service? None of the representatives had an explanation. I've learned I will never use this site again because they're very unhelpful. Sad they are charging airline customers double the fight cost! Not only are they ripping off people they're making more money than the airlines who are the ones flying you to your destination! Go to the airline sites directly! Save your money!

Do Not Trust This Company

I had a road trip and hotel booked on the east coast—I live in the Midwest—on Feb 16,2021. I had to cancel my trip due to widespread hazardous road conditions and road closures from the historic and extremely dangerous winter storm that affected half of the country. Evidently, this kind of unusual, dangerous, declared state-of-emergency event is not a reasonable excuse for a refund with Trip.com. The cancellation service was poor and slow, lots of "we'll call you back in 2 hours," and "my manager will call you tomorrow," and then a vague email saying that they contacted their "supplier" and they cannot cancel the booking. I called the hotel directly and they confirmed that Trip.com not any other third party has made an attempt to cancel. Do not waste your time or money booking with this company! They do not have integrity, stand by their service and do not have their customer's satisfaction—or personal safety—in mind. Outrageously terrible.

Hi was booking flight tickets for the family and because the website kept timing out due to flight prices changing I had to type quickly. I made a one letter typing error in a surname and Trip.com have refused to correct it. I have asked several local travel agents and all agree it is the travel agents responsibility but Trip.com keep telling me to contact the airline I have emailed Trip.com 10-20 times starting immediately after making the error. I keep getting different replies. They don't seem to be registered with any regulatory bodies and there is no way to email head office or contact the CEO Jane Sun. I wish I never made the mistake of booking online it has been nothing but stress and because of Trip.com my wife may be refused travel at the airport. If they want to resolve this please contact me.

Trip.com cheated on me from beginning to end. When I booked my flight, there is no reminder or warning for corresponding flights like itinerary, connecting fights, self-transfer, correspondence travel documents and stops etc. They only want your money. After you paid, they care nothing. They don't provide any services if you wanna change flight, cancel flight etc any kinds of relevant things, they just simply reply that they can't make a change and don't refund at all. This is a garbage tricky place I have ever been in. Strongly suggest never shop anything in trip.com. Never explore in trip.com. They provide $#*! service. It's unbelievable that it still operates and exists and harms and steals people every single day. I only hope trip.com can be terminated ASAP and go to hell

Careful: they offer a combination of flights, difficult to see that they offer a stopover with different airports in one city, without traffic 1 hour by car away, baggage collection and re-check-in needed, with a stopover far too short and without guarantee that you can catch the ongoing flight.
I am a frequent flyer, but I have never been offered a stopover with different airports and so far away from each other.
There was only a small icon on the screen, which was the "notice" that there is a stopover with 2 different airports...
I recognized this only with my order confirmation and instantly complained within minutes. But I only received about 20% refund after very many calls, phone queues, mails... - and it took half a year to be finally processed...
So finally I lost 80% and a lot of time...

This booking service will find any possible way to give you a flight that does not take you where you want to do, just to scrape cheap business from you for what looks like cheaper itinerary flights. We tried to book a flight to LAX. We chose Los Angeles as our destination. Of course this scheming business would send us to Ontario, 2 hours drive from where literally ANY other flight goes into Los Angeles. On top of that, they have absolutely no way of refunding a flight within 24 hours of having booked it, we had to "apply" to cancel. So we just lost 1750 USD to this thieving business. I tried to request a refund within 24 hours and we were stuck waiting for their response. I disputed the charge from my credit card company and of course, since trip.com is a 3rd party, there was nothing that my bank could do about it.

Do not use this company. They need to simply fail and let other legitimate business take over their space.

Deceptive marketing - stay away

Trip.com says "If you'd like to change or cancel your booking, the Trip.com app makes it easy." It does not make it easy at all and if anything makes it much harder than booking though the airline directly. I have not written a 1 star review before but this is the first time I have done so. What a disappointing customer experience.

A Scam company. Always book direct with airline.

Simply do not use. They do not stick to the terms they state when you buy, will not allow changes or cancellations per the airlines policies, instead they will charge you almost as much as your original flight - just less intact to tempt you to change with them and not buy another ticket through the airline. Then when you complain, they will string you along wasting your time pretending to care, when infact it seems their policy is to send you around in circles until you give up. Just avoid. Company has no reason to exist other than to defraud you from my experience at least.

Payment issues and bad resolution

Being 1st time User I had some payment issues customer service agent advised to book directly through the aircarrier or talk to bank...Bank said no issues from their end and advised to try with credit limit increase.Trip.com blocked my card took and insisted id proof, bank statements, credit card front and back to release the card for further payments...I felt like they are forcefully to taking PII which is not fair...I tried with my 2 different credit card both had same issues, felt like they are showing payment error purposefully to steal data or to hike flight prices

If there is zero star and I must give it zero. I booked a flight ticket from Manchester to Hong Kong and I realised I mixed up the departure and destination place after few seconds after my booking. I contacted their customer service immediately and also the airline company. Trip.com said I need to pay around £400 (half of the ticket price for the mistake happened just a minute before)
I called the airline company and they said I can get 100% refund if I booked from them but in my case, it only happens few minutes before so it depends on trip.com decision.
After two days phone calls and email (sorry I sent 3-4emails but actually no one response and I kept asking their online agent and one of them said I only have to pay £108.8 to cancel my flight. It's fine I said it's alright but after that she apologised and said she made a mistake and I actually need to pay£3xx and now £22x for cancellation fee. It is very ridiculous that the price is changing all the times. And I can't believe a popular travel agency doesn't have 24hours free cancellation. I was told I can't even change the passenger name and the itinerary. I agree with what others describe Trip.com "This is highway robbery".
