Trivago please invest few bucks and buy your spokesmen new clothes and sawing kit. He looks like homeless bum advertising homeless shelter.

This is a message sent to the on avenue I could find for Trivago. Please read below. I've yet to receive a reply. I'll NEVER use a third party to book my reservations. I'll call directly to the source. I do have to say that Cancelon has bent over backwards trying to assist me, but can't give me a product they don't have and has never had in their inventory.
I booked through Trivago's website for a room at World Mark - Kingstown Reef. I have my confirmation to show this. I tried to call the support number shown on the confirmation letter to no avail. I was looking over my credit statement and noticed a charge that I wasn't familiar with. I called the # on the CC statement and got Cancelon. While on the phone I confirmed my reservations in detail. My confirmation from Trivago shows me stating in one place and they, Cancelon, have me booked in another hotel by the name of Blue Tree Resort. Now what if I have driven 7 hours and not been able to check in. I've tried to locate a telephone number for your company, Trivago, which all are not working. They, Canelon, are saying the problem must be on Trivago's end.

On February 28,2015 we used trivago to book a hotel in Naples, Florida. After choosing a hotel we were directed through trivago to the web site Easytobook.com. We booked the hotel for four nights April 24th through April 28th. Our MasterCard was charged for the $496.04 and we received an e-mail confirming the booking.
On April 23rd we called the hotel to confirm our reservations and were told that Easytobook.com had cancelled our reservation saying "due to the guest will not travel". We never cancelled our reservation. Upon calling Easytobook.com we were told the reservation was "cancelled due to a technical issue." We believe we were scammed.
After several phone calls Easytobook agreed to credit our MasterCard for the $496.04. They didn't offer to rebook at the hotel. With only 24 hours to our departure the only available room at the hotel cost us $1,130.76 or $634.72 more than the confirmed rate.
We have requested trivago and Easytobook.com to honor the original reservation rate and reimburse us for the $634.72. Both parties have refused. We find this business practice unprofessional and unethical.

We booked with Trivago in April of 2018. They then transferred us to another company hotel power to book our stay for Orlando. Once we booked and paid for our room which was a standard suite which showed a king bed icon on the website, we received an email stating our room was undefined room. We then called the hotel to determine what undefined room meant which they stated that it could be a twin bed or queen bed only.
We then called hotel power and spoke to someone who seemed to clarify it up for us and sent us a new email that started we had a standard suite and advised us that a standard suite came with a king bed.
2 months later when we arrived at the holiday inn for our vacation, our room was either going to be a queen with bunk beds or two queens. We then called Trivago and they advised me that I needed to prove to them that where it shows that it was booked for a king bed and wouldnt do anything for us. MIND YOU THEY SAID THERE WAS NO NOTES THAT ANYONE HAD SPOKEN TO US 2 MONTHS PRIOR. Luckily the hotel manager advised us that they had similar issues when booking through Trivago and helped us out with a king room the next day. WE WILL NEVER USE TRIVAGO AGAIN.

Checking the Trivago index I found the system quite "foggy".
Despite of Trivago claims trasparency it is impossible to check the reviews: some of them are public and for some of them it is impossible to read the reviews or even to know which are the sources.
I notice it when I was wandering in the web to pick up suggestions for my next holiday and I noticed that 1 of my hotel candidates in the Trivago index was overtaken by other hotels of the same area that were positioned much below my candidate in the following index: Trip Advisor, Google+, Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia.
Then I checked again the Trivago Index, the pubblic one was coherent with what I already knew, my candidate was in much better a position than those hotel winning in trivago, but the other part of trivago index, the misterious one with the hidden sources, makes my candidate being overtaken by the others.
After wich I follow checking all the most important OTA in the web, it was quite an easy task, in none I could find any info or index that could support the trivago index. Trivago was the only index on the web where my hotel candidate was not in first position in his area and trivago was the only one where it is impossible to check all the reviews.
Why? Who knows.
Anyway, for sure I shall not take in consideration the Trivago index to decide my holidays anymore.

Its great once you've found a hotel already but its not the best to search for a new place. It does the job it says it will do.

They give comparison to other website, but you often find the best deal going directly to the hotel's website or call to speak to agents.

Awful service. No way to speak to anyone. They referred me to Expedia which proved to be very costly for me.

Hi to all especially people that are considering staying at oaks on Collins. I booked a room and was expecting a lot more, for starters you have to pay $64 for parking or $32 if you get a voucher, the car park roof is 2.1mtrs high so if you have a landcruiser don't bother, The room was another thing, I walked in went to put a Coldy in the fridge, the fridge was hot turned it up full, my wife went to use the toilet and said the seat was loose and dirty then could not believe 1ply toilet paper, the shower recess was a site the drain plug was broken and the silicone joints looked like a preschool kid finished it, the floor was dirty the curtains had hand prints and the flowers on the table were full of dust. I washed up and said to my wife well one night that's it.We went to the restaurant and there was only three couples including us so I thought this was good shouldn't take long, we sat down and were brought a glass of water and the menu, The menu is very plain so don't expect to much, 45+min later we received the garlic bread we ate it and it was good then waited, 20+min for our main meal still only the one glass of water, the waitress not even returning until we had finished, I wouldn't like to see the restaurant buisy, my wife couldn't believe it as she is a chef never again so be warned?

I went to this site to book a hotel for 2 daysin fl. I booked a site and at the end they charged me a 40 dollar cleaning fee. I called back and said i wanted to cancell because of the extra 40 dollR cleaning fee. They told me if i spent 2 more dollars and i could get a hotel room with out paying a cleaning fee. So i paid more and had my room. Upon going there the hotel manager said if i came two hours eary i had to pay a 50 early fee, i said no ill go out to eat and wait till 3:00 pm. They called someone else and he said i could stay without the 50 dollar fee, BUT he said they were no longer honoring this company as they dont pay there bills. Then hetells us that we look tired so we could have a room but there was a 40 dollar cleaning fee.! Now they had Already charged my charge card when i first called so i could mot get my money back! The room was horrible! I took pictures! Springs out of chairs, bleach spits all over the carpet, table and bar chairs with holes and misding fabric all over! It was a room no one had used for months at best. Maybe 5 or 6 cars in the entire place. What a rip off and over charged from this company! L6Nf

I was booking a room for the first time with trivago. I need a room for that evening. I figured I would try this company for the first time. I found the site very hard to navigate through. I called the sales representative on the phone and I told them of my situation. I thought my booking was complete and I completed the transaction. With a rep on the phone from trivago I explained that I never choose a date. Then I noticed that it was 1 week from the date I was actually trying to book. I immediately told the agent that I was currently on the phone with. The agent said sorry but NO refunds. I told the agent who I was on the phone with during the entire transaction of what just happened, but refused to change the date and no refunds. Bottom line I hung up the phone and called Expedia and got my room. Also I am thankful to have Amex because they gave me my money back as a courtesy, because trivago would not. Not even give me a credit for a future stay. I would never use them again and there prices were high on rooms then other sites. All around bad experience with them. I will share my story with any other company rating sites. This was not customer service that I would exspect from any company.
Https :// www.contacthelp. Com/Trivago/phone-number/Customer%20Service *******439. I had to update my review due to "insulting my intelligence". There clearly is a phone number located to contact customer service. That's the number I called to help me through my process. The person I spoke on the phone clearly saw my order and we were communicating back-and-forth. Even then I had a bad result. You use and you lose.

Dear George,
We are afraid that you must be mistaken as trivago does not provide user phone support so you could not have spoken to a trivago 'rep' on the phone. We can only assume that it was the rep of a booking site you used that you spoke to.
Please note, on trivago, users can easily search and compare different hotels and prices on our site. We pull information from multiple OTAs (online travel agencies) and display the prices together. However, once a user clicks through to ‘view deal’, they are directed to the appropriate booking site which provides that price to complete reservation and payment details. Trivago doesn't actually have any involvement in the making of the booking.
If you would like further assistance or want to provide further feedback then please do so by getting in touch with our user support team at info@trivago.com
Kind regards,
Trivago user support.
As simple as the title suggests - Trivago endorses CancelOn (scammers). I do not recommend Trivago or CancelOn.

Dear Lesya,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are very sorry to hear that you are having this difficulty. However, we feel the ''Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb!'' is a tad harsh and hurts our feelings!
The reason you are experiencing this issue is because your IP address is in Mexico so our site defaults to trivago.com.mx. We are currently working on a fix for this so that you can use trivago.com within Mexico.
In the mean time you could use trivago.ca and change the currency to US$ at the bottom of the main page. trivago.com and trivago.ca have the same inventory so you will see the same deals.
I hope this helps and that you will give it a try. It is probably a quicker solution for you rather than learning Spanish.
If you do need further assistance please get in touch with us directly at info@trivago.com our native English user support speakers will be more than happy to assist you.
Warmest regards,
Trivago user support.
