We had a german girl who is a digital nomad house sit in Astorville Ontario Canada for 5 weeks. She would not communicate with us once we were away would not answer e mails or phone on whats app. She was completely unreliable our pellet stove in livingroom stopped working and VD would not tell us if it had been repaired. We have used trusted house sitters in the past and had much better housesitters. We did not renew our application

I enrolled in THS just a few months ago. Rapidly found the sit of my Dreams and it even proved just the way I expected it to be. It was very easy to select the perfect house/pet/owner/destination through the very detailed profiles THS requires and thanks to the daily e-mails that are sent by the website. IT REALLY WORKS and it gave me a new kind of lifestyle I'll be happy to embrace for a very long time. I most definitely recommend using THS for those who love pets, travelling and making new friends or enjoying some peace. Also... whatever question you have their Customer Service is very quick and efficient in responding. Love it! Thank you THS for making this Genius idea come true!

We have done seven housesits now with another four arranged. All have been very enjoyable and worthwhile. We did also advertise for a housesitter for our house and were suprised at some of the very inappropriate applicants. I do think that Trustedhousesitters should do some screening of people fegistering on the site. Also customer service has improved recently and this was definitely needed. Finally, the membership is very expensive. However, as we have been using the site alot recently and had very positive experiences, I have no hesitation in recommending it.

I started 3 years ago with my membership as a house sitter. First build up my profile so the house and pet owners can get a first impression.
Now I look in the daily news if I have time to do house sits.
And to be honest: it is great! I had the possibility to do house sits in several countries. Highly recomandated for honest and trustworthy people.

I came home from a stressful trip to find a (what I presume) homeless young couple in my house. All of their belongings were in my living room, as were they. The place was filthy. They ate ALL of my food. They ruined my nightstand and stopped up my toilet. My cat was totally freaked out. All in, their three day visit cost me $700 and I've yet to see any compensation from Trusted Housesitters. They won't even refund my membership even after I told them I had to pay for an Uber to get these two off of my property with all of their $#*!.

One of things we miss most when travelling is the company of a pet. Then we found THS and all this changed. For anything from a couple of days to several weeks we can enjoy living in a comfortable home and looking after a much loved pet. Dogs, cats, fish, chickens, cattle and the list goes on. We love housesitting and this is the best website we have come across for it. The listings have lots of information and photos and the method of making contact is very straightforward. Whenever we have had a problem, we have had a personal helpful reply from THS within 24 hours. Yes, we are big fans of THS, they are helping two animal lovers to thoroughly enjoy travelling the world on a budget!

A year and a half ago I accepted my first petsit through TrustedHousesitters, and I've been traveling full-time all over the country and world since. I thought I might just take one year to travel, but I've been loving it so much that I'm on my second year, and not completely sure a third isn't in my future.

Petsitting allows me to travel on a small budget, and as I travel solo, I love how I can get to experience a city or country from more of a local perspective by staying in a home, getting to know the neighbors, and having pets to keep me company and grounded in life.

I love how this platform allows people to trade, whether it's our time or our home/pets. It's a beautiful system. I honestly couldn't recommend it more.

They suck you in saying you will get house and pet sitting opportunities but we applied for over 25 opportunities and got one in a year. And we had to pay for this. Don't be scammed as I did. Then after I canceled, they billed my credit card anyway.

I have been so impressed with the way the system works, from setting up my own profile as a sitter to looking at possible house/pet sits around Australia (and potentially around the world, although I haven't tried that part yet). When I have needed any assistance from THS staff, they have been immediately responsive and have answered all my questions; the first pet-sit I applied for, I was accepted immediately; all early communications were handled through the website with ease. I have really enjoyed my experience with THS.

We have been using trusted housesitters for over 3 years now and have stayed in some fantastic properties in amazing locations. We have watched beautiful B&Bs in national parks and estates on acres and acres of land all thanks to trustedhousesitters.com.
The site is very easy to navigate and they have all the answers if you have any problems or questions.
We use the site to travel to new destinations and through the site we find the people who are looking for people like us to look after there home and pets.

Fortunately I currently live in a popular area for people looking to travel so it's a bit easier to find housesitters/petsitters, at least during key travel times. But, if you're just looking for a random weekend or if you're not in a popular area, it may be tougher to find someone. I have had great success so far with petsitters who came highly rated. The site makes it easy to provide everything in one place with the assurance of help when needed (though I have not had to avail myself of that help). As I've looked for house-sits when I'm traveling, that's been much tougher to find, as there don't seem to be many people using the service or else they've gotten snatched up quickly and if you aren't always on the website looking, there doesn't seem to be a way to get notifications of places available.

Love the smart concept of TrustedHouseSitters, of course, and enjoyed contacts with all petlovers - as I am -; moreover I really appreciated the secure feeling provided step by step by the process of the platform especially the thorough welcome guide once a sitting confirmed.
