Took an Uber (driver named Antonio) from La Quinta in Costa Mesa to John Wayne Airport. Left my $700.00 camera in his car. Notified him right away. He never called back. Notified Uber snd never heard from them for a week telling us Antonio didn't find it in his car. Please did it get out snd walk away. And why didn't he call us back immediately. Of course he didn't find it. He is now the owner of an expensive camera. May Karma bite you in the $#*! snd more. Never use Uber.
Fortunately I do not use Uber more than Once ever few years. The fees are ridiculous. I am all for the fuel surcharge with the cost of fuel. However booking fees of $7. Reservation fees $6.

If I could give my experience with Uber a zero I would a million times. I phoned to get an issued resolved and Omar was no help. He was disrespectful and hangup the phone on me and didn't even let me speak or give me any typeof help. If you are working with Uber and especially that this world is crazy and people are needing your help Omar you need to have some respect when you are working in customer services.
Took 2 trips on March 26,2022. Same distance. There was a $20 difference in the trips because the driver taking us home got lost trying to find where we were. We were literally at a corner of 2 major streets. He called twice and I told him exactly where I was. And I was charged twice for one of them. Been trying to get Uber to fix the problem but apparently they ignore the emails and there is no number you can call. This is definitely the worst customer service. I will never use Uber again.
How come when you order an uber, they can cancel on you how many times they want, and then you wait for another, and then they cancel too... and wait and wait... And if you want to cancel the ride (because you are already late and they are sh**) you can not cancel without a fee! Hacks! Thieves! Avoid as much as possible!

I had to scramble to get a last minute taxi to make my flight. Uber is not reliable for trips to airport.

Uber time and time again will charge me twice for the same single ride. Every time I contact Uber for help on this issues they are no help at all! Uber loves to me twice every time I call for a ride and the issue is NEVER resolved! For me, a $40 ride with Uber will turn into a $80 ride because I'm always charged twice and it's never resolved. Contacting customer service is no help at all they just tell me that the pending tracking will disappear but my card was already charged Twice! So the money is already taken and I never ever get it back! Advises me it will send a code for the two-step authorization, but NEVER sends the code. Yes, they have my cell number correct. After waiting TWENTY-ONE minutes, I silently cursed them - wishing they would simply close up shop, and closed my browser. I'm DONE with friggin uber. Pathetic.

Took a ride last Saturday 3/12. Lost credit card and license in the back seat. Still can't get anyone to respond to our customer service request after following the instruction of how to respond to this. I will never use Uber again. Lyft will get all my business for now on. Also tried calling the customer service phone number and told me to call back during business hours. This was at 2pm on a Monday. Crazy!
I would not write a review, but it was already the second charge from Uber for the kinda ''subscription'' I have signed up for. I barely use Uber. In a year, I use services 1-3 times max. I have never subscribed for anything. The amount is not high, around 11 CAD, but how many people have not noticed these unauthorized charges and not asked for a refund? How did the company manage to charge me for what I have not signed up for? Where did they get my approval? It's STEALING! I advise you to take off the payment method from the uber account that can be charged for you unnoticeably.
In Istanbul, Turkey there are good drivers (honest), bad (try to cheat with asking for CASH instead of credit card), and REALLY ugly (leaving you far from destination with some lame false excuse.

Bad... the younger drivers, smoking in the their cars when they pull up to your location for pick up, and then try to get you to pay extra and in cash.
REALLY ugly... middle aged Turkish drivers who "blah blah blah" all the way during the trip, and then expect a tip because they talked to you -- even if you just wanted to sit quietly and chill.
Everyone... it's hit and miss. Try to feel out the driver before getting in. If the vibes are not good, or the interior of the car looks like it's been through WW III... cancel out and complain to your credit card company if they charge a cancellation feel.

Took Uber from home to BWI airport. Surprised when I saw a charge of $10 for booking fee. Have not paid this before despite having a minimum of 30 trips last year, and three this year. Uber has found a new way to price gouge their customers. The varying rates for trips to & from home & BWI Airport are staggering. They range from anywhere from $72 to $134. I live approximately 28 miles from the airport, which normally is a 40-min ride. Sometimes a taxi from BWI after 9 pm is $99, & Uber is $134. Guess which one I take. Drivers frequently complain as well at how little they get to keep in comparison to what Uber keeps. Keep it up Uber. There are numerous other ways to get to & from locales.
I was driving Uber since 7 years a lady file a false complaint about me that she had a service animal and I refuse to give her ride because of service animal. I know all the guidelines and everything I didn't say anything like this although she didn't tell me she had service animal. She requested a regular uber not a Uber pet so when I went to pick her up I saw 2 dogs and I asked her you didn't request Uber pet and she didn't say anything at that time she just said never mind so how would I know she had service animal I am an old guy I have to feed my family I have kids and Uber customer service is sucks they are rude not listening to me what should I do they deactivated my account for rest of my life I need my account back. If you add funds to your cash balance, they still charge your card for the full amount. If they can't charge your card, you can't use your cash balance. I had them refund my cash balance. If you use PayPal, you only get charged once, unlike with debit/credit cards, where you get charged twice and it's above the amount for your order/ride.
