I'm so happy with ordering through Cex. I ordered a Bluetooth speaker, it arrived quickly, well packaged, in perfect condition and half charged. I was able to take it out of the box, and use it straight away.
Bought an apple ultra watch and strap worth £580 been told by one of the team I got 48 hours to return it if I change my mind to get my money back sadly I wasn't able to to try it in the shop so went home tried it and it was too big too heavy so went back to the store straight away properly after 1 hour to be told they can't give my money back it has to credit voucher so I can use it again in the store only. Really disappointed as I was left with my family short off this money on this difficult time when I did nothing wrong. Never again and be advised people once you pay them don't expect your money back it's going to be a credit note to use only in there store.
My partner purchased a phone for me from CEX with a 2 year guarantee. 3 months later the front was coming away from the main baby. I took it back and was told it would be sent of for repair. I was told 7 days, 3 weeks later and still waiting I was told they were waiting for a part. Then after 1 month I was returned my phone being told they were not repairing it as it was water damaged! My phone hasn't even been I my steamy bathroom. The guarantee means nothing, they tell a load of gob $#*!e when they can't repair a phone or maybe it was too e pensive to repair, DONT buy phones from here, your chancing your luck,
I purchased a £50 iPod 17 May 2019 as a gift and paid cash.
I was not informed of the returns policy i. E. cex do not want to return your money if the goods are returned!
Less than a day later I returned the item, only to be told I would receive a voucher and not my hard earned cash.
Ridiculous! If I purchased the iPod online according to the website, a full refund would be given (In the method of how you paid).
Talk about a greedy company who are forcing you to spend your money with them.
I will never shop with cex again!
I went to the Canterbury shop, got served straight away by a very helpful staff member. Although I couldn't find all that I needed, I was suggested another store that could possible have what I needed. Very pleasant young man I didn't get his name but his staff number is *******

Sent my phone in as they advertise that they buy your older phones. They rejected it and never sent it back. To then advise it has nothing to do with them. So I am at a loss for even doing business with them. Stay away unless you want these thieves to have away with your products for free.
I brought a apple MacBook Pro for £285, saw it working in store and took it home only to turn it on and see a blank screen with a file icon in the middle. Went to YouTube and it became obvious that their was a fault.
On returning to the store at 09.00 the next morning I was told I would have to wait until 14.00 to get a refund (strange because they took my cash straight away).
I was not having that as my car was parked and costing two pounds an hour CEX would not pay my parking so it cost me £6 in parking to wait for a refund and my own personal time.
CEX supposedly check all items which is why I buy from there, I had a warning sign when I saw that they had bulked brought PS5's and were selling them at twice the retail price taking them from customers who could of brought them at retail price disgusting.
In short I will never use this outfit again the pandemic has changed their values and now the customer is fair game when it comes to profit.

I bought a tablet, stopped working. Paid more to replace it. That did not work either. They tested it and could not tell that it was faulty. Then said would not replace it.
Over priced and poor product and poor service. Manager at Leicester totally unfriendly and aggressive.
Don't go them for anything.
Purchased a folding phone form them (thought the Fold 4 would have sorted the early issues). After 51 days the inner screen developed an issue and the fold bled. I returned the phone to CEX but as the screen turned on although not useable they have refused to cover it under their warranty, citing accidental damage. Don't buy a foldable for them they don't cover it, they are aware of issues with the internal screen and deem any problems to be down to excessive folding (folding is what the phone is designed for!) which is an accidental damage issue. I now own a £1000 brick. Despite this CEX continue to sell them and will continue to do so, great ethics! Thanks CEX after many years of loyal custom I won't be using you ever again.
I ordered an Ipad from here. Cex has sent me a completely different Ipad that is not part of the company. When I went the the Cex store for a refund they said I received the wrong Ipad and didn't help me at all to get a refund despite Cex sending me the wrong one, the staff are horrible. None of the staff helped me with anything even though they made this mistake. Never had such a bad experience before. Will never buy from here again, terrible staff. Store manager is horrible as well and didn't try to help me at all. I contacted customer service but they kept saying that they didn't send me the wrong Ipad despite me having proof that I received a different Ipad from the one I ordered. I do not recommend anyone to buy from here, they are a scam.

Possibly the worst shop (if that's what you want to call it) in the country! They'll give you next to nothing for your goods & sell them for an incredible profit. Photocopied covers on DVD's with no notification, wrong DVD's in the box (really pisses me off when I have to return to the same shop three times to get the right disc that I've paid for). West Bromwich is the WORST of the branches. Dopey staff that have never heard of customer service & have a couldn't care less attitude! Won't use these rip off merchants again!
I gave them a practically new Nintendo switch with a singular scratch, checked everything before hand due to many bad experiences in the past, and we were told to wait an hour and when we came back they denied it and said the battery was broken, when we checked everything was fine and now we have brought it home and it is now not only not charging but now has a brand new scratch and a dirty screen

I bought a second had iphone 6 from a CEX store. I had it for 6 months and then one day it stopped turning on. I took it to the CEX store with all of my receipts and was told they could not try to fix it or refund the warranty because it had been water damaged. While in my possession, the phone never got wet and was not taken into humid areas. I was very careful with the phone because I do not have enough money to purchase another one. I found the absolute refusal of the staff to help as unacceptable, even if the phone had somehow been water damaged it is clear that this did not cause the phone to break. I will never shop here again - I lost over £300.
They say they give the best prices to their customers but it is simply a lie, They would buy games off of people for around £3 and then sell the game for about £20, they're ridiculous and think every person that enters their store are stupid. Also they're completely overpriced retro consoles are becoming more expensive yes, but an unboxed SNES system is not £60+ at most they're worth £40, but they would only give you £15 if you trade one in.
Terrible shop in East Kilbride. Will never return to this shop. Went in 11 days ago and asked for a samsung plug as I had found my phone was only charging slowly just using a wire pluged into an extension cord. Was sold a samsung plug and cable. Tried it but same problem with these. It only charges phone slow. Tried to return today to be told that I could only return for credit as it was more than two days. Under the low, as I was sold something unfit for purpose, I am entitles to a full refund up to 30 days. They dont even have a refund posted on their wall. Needless to say, I will never return to this shop again. I lost £11, but you have lost a customer.
Will first time ordering from hear but it was easy to do and my game was in great shape so ya i would order again from cex and i would say to anyone that is thinking of ordering just give it a go i think you will be happy to see how easy it is and how fast you get your games too.
Fobbed off with excuses, refused to replace a faulty battery on my daughters mobile phone under the 24 month warranty. When shipped packaging dreadful, sold the phone with a faulty siri, and at the Uxbridge branch lost the sim card to the phone and humiliated my wife and daughter in front of other customers.
CEX are happy to deduct £1 off a trade or cash sale if your disc has a tiny scratch, they claim it covers disc cleaning... have you ever seen a disc cleaner in any store? No. They dont clean anything, they deduct the £1 and put the item out for sale. The amount of disc based media ibe bought with heavily scratched/soiled discs is unacceptable. Also, why do they think its ok to sell heavily damaged items? Ive seen video game boxed that look like theyve been towed by a car down the motorway, also they seem to think its ok to sell games/DVDs with photocopied covers. On a side note, their prices are daylight robbery in most cases, very poor in-store service. Unpredictable online services, and why separate a bundle? If I buy a Halo exclusive console I expect the game to be included, but no, they take apart gaming bundles and sell them separately. Garbage store, so many decent stores have closed down over the years but these parasites are surviving somehow.
Paid £2.3k for 2021 MacBook Pro 16. After a week started having serious issues. Took it back. They did tests what I can only assume was on a windows XP system. As to them it was 100%. Took it to apple Watford 2 days later report. Memory issues repair will be £700+ so now in a legal case with these people. Beware and I mean beware. Their 2 year warranty isn't worth the paper its printed on.

Poor item. Described as condition B which should have no damage apart from light scratches. The tablet arrived with cracks and missing parts of the case. Will be returning to store this week. Very dissapointed. This is the 2nd time this has happened [previously ordered a Drone] thought I would give CEX the benefit of the doubt but won't order online from then again
A few dishonest staff members, basically stole from me, went in with a box items, sent me back a couple of times to get more stuff. Then saying they can't buy the items cause of a fault which was understandable! Later the box and cables are missing and a couple of items not working. Fuming! Used this store afew times in the past and the staff were great, this time new staff, big problems! Directors or Ceo's, sort this store out, disgraceful. The one star is because of previous staff.
I bought an refurbished iPone 12, it arrived very quickly and looked in perfect condition till I tried to use it, calls went straight to voice mail, texts, and WhatsApp no notifications, I was told it was a system error problem, so they refunded me, payment came back quickly, so I bought an iPhone 11, guess what? The same as the iPhone 12 so I have been without a mobile phone for 2 weeks now. I questioned do you check the phones before sending them out? I was told "No, we check them when they arrive" I won't be wasting my time with them again, refurbished my foot, it seems they receive a phone and just sell it straight on, if it was refurbished they would know there was a problem wouldn't they
Agreed a price then paid less
Do not even want to give one star. After inspection of my phones, a price was agreed and forms were filled in. We were told the money would be in our account within a day or two. We have now just received a voicemail saying that they are going to pay us a lot less now because of one of wear and tear on one of the phones. Scandalous!
I would give it a 0 stars if I could. This company is a joke. My partner bought phone while ago and Royal Mail delivered it to wrong address. Cex said they need to investigate it. We contacted Royal Mail and they confirmed that phone was delivered to wrong address. We been waiting for over a month and they still needed more time. We been advised by CAB to request charge back with bank so that's what we did. Now both our accounts are suspended and they want us to contact solicitors to resolve the issue. At the end of the day it wasn't our fault and we been treated proper unfair. Customer service is disgraceful!

I did deposited 100$ and its not credited its been hours now, the support says no transcation was the the cex.io account itself shows the transaction requested in the activity my card got debited. So poor return me my money back
If I could give zero I would...
I sold my sons phone on the basis of it working, but had scratches... was offered a decent amount of money.
However when the phone was dropped off at the store they changed this classification and deemed that the camera had a scratch, and was therefore not working.
They left a voicemail offering £20 for an iPhone 6s... upon speaking to their customer service team they have revised this offer to £15 as they made an error on the memory size of the phone.
Absolute cowboys... really sharp dishonest practice
