I'm so happy with ordering through Cex. I ordered a Bluetooth speaker, it arrived quickly, well packaged, in perfect condition and half charged. I was able to take it out of the box, and use it straight away.
Bought an apple ultra watch and strap worth £580 been told by one of the team I got 48 hours to return it if I change my mind to get my money back sadly I wasn't able to to try it in the shop so went home tried it and it was too big too heavy so went back to the store straight away properly after 1 hour to be told they can't give my money back it has to credit voucher so I can use it again in the store only. Really disappointed as I was left with my family short off this money on this difficult time when I did nothing wrong. Never again and be advised people once you pay them don't expect your money back it's going to be a credit note to use only in there store.
I purchased a Camera from Cex and was really Happy... Until 3 weeks later I tried to sell the lens of the camera back to Cex as I've upgraded the lens for a better one. I took the lens to the Mansfield store who told me the lens is no good and has old dust in it? I explained to the sales assistant that I purchased the lens from yourselves 3 weeks ago? How can it have old dust when you have sold it to me as good, They said I have to contact online to sort this... I have been told I'm past my 14 days of returning the product although it's obviously not my fault! They have refused to take the lens back or refund me? What a con! Avoid at all cost. I just hope the camera isn't also a dudd because the Guarantees are not worth anything. Order *******

I recently purchased a huwawei p30 from cex in Colchester after a month google maps stopped working, found out it was an issue between huwawei and Google so is a fault with the phone but cex have refused to replace or refund just saying it not down to them crap customer service I think..

Recently purchased a 2nd or 3rd or even 4th hand Samsung tablet, maybe even more, from cex Paisley for £55. Needed one to pass the time in my taxi between hires. After working throughout the Christmas and New Year period, I decided to download some tv apps for something to watch. Unable to download BBC iPlayer, Netflix and even YouTube. Went back with the device, only to be told that they don't do refunds. They will of course buy it back, but at a much reduced price. Before this happened, they did eventually admit that the device was not compatible with those apps. I was offered £25, £30 less than I paid for it 2 weeks earlier. I just took the money and walked out disgusted with them and their attitude. Please please don't buy any electronic equipment from them, there's no going back.
I bought a Pixel 4a through Cex six months ago. After a couple of months I found that the phone was not responding to touch very well and there are certain letters and numbers that just won't work at all. It means sending messages takes ages and trying to watch anything through my Chromecast on TV is an arduous task. Basically, the phone is not fit for purpose. I drove all the way to a shop (10 miles away from where I live) to discuss the problems with this phone as it clearly says it has a 2 year warrantee. The assistant took one look at the phone and the two tiny, hairline cracks on the screen (which happened way after all the issues started) and point blank refused to do anything about it. I would say avoid this company like the plague, they are shafters. I don't consider paying £250 for a second hand phone cheap and I'm pretty sure they're in breach of trading standards. It is not worth it, keep away from them. I suspect most phones they sell start playing up soon after purchase.

I purchased a Garmmin watch. Unfortunately the watch sent was faulty and i asked for a replacement. They weren't able to supply one, so i asked for a refund. They insist that they have to carry out checks first, which is understandable. 10 days after receiving it they have still not reimbursed me. Just 2 minutes will tell anyone it's faulty. I'm left £250 out of pocket, this service is shocking and not acceptable. I'm now having to contact trading standards to chase my refund

My boyfriend bought a I phone 6 plus last July for my son as a present, the phone was £280.00 and we were told came with a two year warranty. About a month ago the phone stopped working and I took to CEX in Braintree and they did a warranty test but couldn't fix the problem of the phone logging my son out of the network so looked closer at phone saying very small mark on phone so they will not fix! I take this as we have your money your on your own! We have the phone with a phone engineer who has looked at phone and informs us phone is a faulty phone as one chip is taking the others out and the engineer is unable to find a replacement chip. I have now had to buy another phone on ebay as not fair my son is without a phone... I'm very disappointed with the service and right now would NOT recommend parents buy phones for their children from this company.
I had an issue with the cashier he hadn`t handed my correct change to me if anyone has had an experience like mine i would like to know!? As this issue hasn`t been resolved i am disgusted with the customer service

Purchased an Xbox One X console from CEX, however upon delivery the disc drive would not play standard DVDs. I returned this via their online returns address as advised to by Ramson however upon inspection they have chosen to completely ignore the fault and send me the console back saying they "Could not verify the fault". If they had put any DVD in the disc drive, the fault would have been incredibly apparent so it is clear this was not done.
They are in breech of consumer rights when returning electronic goods and in breech of their own return policy.
Took a broken xbox back after 6 month. Wouldnt honor the warranty refused to even look at it. Managed to sort it myself once i got it home. Anyone in a similiar sitution sould file a small money claim online/small court claim easy to do and only cost £20. You can even sue for the money to get it repaired elsewhere

Went in with my PS3 told it was worth £39. The PS3 worked perfectly. They ran a test which took 1 hour only to be told that it was "faulty" as it wouldn't accept any discs. I took the PS3 home and it works perfectly fine probably to ignorant to realise they were using a faulty disc of there own to rest it with!
Am very disappointed and angry that you as a company think it's ok to operate like this and treat customers with complétée contempt. Firstly it was almost impossible to buy what I wanted from you as it's a specialist thing which I'd would've like to speak to a member of staff about but of course you don't have a phone number. I had to go in store on the Tuesday and a helpful guy showed me what I needed for my sons 9th birthday this 12th dec. I ordered it to which my son was very excited and couldn't wait he kept asking me when's it coming dad and Wednesday came and went no notification Thursday came and went no notification and then to my complete shock I receive an email saying you've cancelled my order and oh by the way might be 10 working days before I get my money back. That is a disgusting way to treat anyone and thank you for upsetting my son and spoiling his birthday. Never ever again will I use your company again shocking.

Total ripoff. Went in today with a phone with a tiny scratch, a brand new tablet that I got free with my new phone and an iphone in great condition. They wanted the brand new tablet for £15, which is ridiculous. They wanted the iphone for £38, which is fair enough. Then they said they would give 1p for the phone, after quoting £60 on their website.
I took the phone back but we decided to sell the iphone and tablet. An hour later, after their tests, they decided they didn't want the tablet because the charger was usb. Then they knocked £10 off the iphone price.
Long story short, we will not be returning to CeX, in Norwich or otherwise.
Also, we were served by the most monotonous man imaginable, who mumbled every word and tried to buy everything for just £15.

I sold a huawei p30 lite phone 4 weeks ago to CEX took to a branch in Salford. They said they will pay with a bank transfer to my bank account, I have not receibved the payment for my phone. I contacted them 3weeks ago enquiring why they did not pay me. A person called Amit replied back to email and said that the payment was made to my account showing me a a receipt with last 4 digits of my account and sort code. I sent my bank statement as proof no payment was received. Amit answered back saying that the payment was made to a different bank account as i had entered incorrect information. Lying through his teeth as he himself sent the payment of receipt showing was made to my account. I have still not been paid by this Fraudulent company.
I would request that my order no ******* is paid in full ASAP.
150 dvds sold for £6.70, most bought for 1p this company seriously needs too rethink they're pricing, considering the cheapest dvd in store they sell for £1 thats 100x they're money on each dvd minimum, con artists this company needs too be boycotted

I sold an Apple Watch to them and they were strong on the fact it was a grade b despite the fact it was practically new. This was in the Birkenhead store. 2 months later I had an iPhone 14 pro 1tb just 2 months old and straight from the box it went into a phone case. I went to trade this in(I checked online before hand as a test for them mugging people off) they had non in stock. I took mine instore. No marks, absolute prestige condition, some sort gathered up around where the case had been and they told me it was grade b. I disagreed and told them it was grade A and they wouldn't budge despite requesting the phone to remove the marks as like stated they were just dirt. I sold it anyway and checked not 2 hours later and they had 1 In stock graded A. Absolute criminals.
Yesterday in Exmouth I brought a humax free view box for £135, I got it home to Torquay only to find it's a satellite connection to which we haven't got.
No problem we will take it back in the morning to Torquay shop as we have 48 hours to take it back,
Anyway we go into the cex shop and explain everything to the guy, yes we can take it back says the salesman he offered me a voucher for the price I paid for it so I no I want my money back and I was politely told no a voucher or they can buy it back off me for £63 that's less than 24 hours after I paid £135 for it.
It's a bloody disgrace. Never again will I buy anything from this company.

I wanted to sell my Xbox Series X console and they rejected it, because of a faulty HDMI port. They sent it back to me and I plugged the console in to see if that was true. Well it ain't true, the Xbox displayed perfectly on my TV. Nothing is faulty with the HDMI port and I payed special delivery to get it to them. This is really annoying and I just wanted to warn people about wasting your time and money.
I got a couple of games from cex every single disc I put into my Xbox had some problem installing and when they finished i would load the game and it would stop working at any random point got beats from cex and I can already only hear music from the left side cex are terrible just go to game or eBay

I purchased a phone from Cex for over £400, within a month the screen stopped working, no cracks, always kept in a case and never dropped. I took it into the store, they admitted they couldn't find any cracks but couldn't be sure if the screen wasn't cracked. They told me to contact the website and they would take it in and look at it. Upon contacting the website, they firstly ignored me and told me to take it into the store, when I further explained, they contacted the store and the store told them I had smashed the phone. I took pictures of the clearly unmarked phone and sent it in, nothing else on the phone has stopped working, it still boots up but just doesn't display anything.
I went to Cex because they promise the 24 month warrenty, turns out it's just a scam.
