If you're considering partner up with Upromise credit card, you should read my review:

I was unaware I have a statement with Upromise Credit Card for Uber on October 28,2017, for $7.17. I did not receive a statement in my email or in the mail about this the amount or aware that I have a statement with Upromise/ Brclybankde credit card. The only reason how I would find out about this statement is through my Chase Credit Check that I am now currently partnering up with. I spent two hours on the phone, with 5 different representatives, got pass through 3 or 4 different departments tried to get this settle on February 28,2019. Talked to all the representatives about 30 minutes of those two hours and was on hold for about one hour and thirty minutes. By 6 PM the department that I was supposed to, the claim department, is now closed and Upromise asked me to call back tomorrow. I also spent another hour today (March 1,2018), talking to Anna, one of the supervisors, with the employee number ******* and she has told me to write in a dispute with the Credit Bureau because her hands were tied to Brclybankde regulations. This $7.17 has now accumulated to about $215 because of all of the late fees. Since I was unaware of the statement or known about it in the first place and has to go to one of Upromise competitors credit check to find out that I have a negative balance, I am refused to pay the accumulated late fees that I have on my statement. Upromise has close this credit card because of "Derogatory," I'm shocked how Upromise business operate by this because there was no contact from Upromise and me getting trying this settle. Because of this problem my credit score has been very bad from a statement I was unaware of. Now, I don't have the card in my possession anymore.

Upromise had messed up my credit score because they fail to tell me about the negative balance. I receive zero communication from Upromise from which they claim they have tried to contact me with zero proves. If you're looking for a better business operation I would say go somewhere off, save yourself the time and headache.

Completely useless

Started this program back in 2005. It's 2020. I've earned a whopping $14. Don't waste your time. They make money, and give you some crumbs.

Too many exclusions!
August 5, 2020

It is almost impossible to get any earnings from this company as there are so many restrictions. For example, these are the terms for Sams club(information Courtesy of upromise website):
Cash back terms
Please note these terms & conditions: Not eligible on Sam's Club membership renewals, Travel, Sam's Club Pharmacy, in-store pick up(Click 'n' Pull), any merchandise or service listed under the "Member Services" and "Auctions" sections within SamsClub.com including, but not limited to Business Stationery, Cell Phone Plans, Check Printing, Optical, and Photo. Not eligible on movie tickets, event packages and passes, Google Play packages, tires, custom seat covers, KinKades, select flowers, computers, laptops, jewelry, grocery items, candy, snacks, business, health and beauty aids, pet supplies, laundry & home care, OTC and paper goods. Not eligible on items purchased via Scan and GO for Android and iOS or items purchased through Sam Club's mobile app. Not eligible on purchases made on Walmart.com. Not eligible on orders deemed by Sam's Club to be for reselling purposes and high volume orders. Any return, exchange or other adjustment made at a physical store location for an on-line purchase may result in your purchase being deemed ineligible. Not eligible on taxes, shipping, handling, gift-wrapping, rebates, refunds, returns, chargebacks, or cancellations. Not eligible on purchases made with coupon or discount codes that are not found on this site. Not eligible on gift cards, gift certificates or any other similar cash equivalents.

What can I buy? Why do you think I get a sams club card? To save on groceries and home products. If everything is excluded... what can I buy!? Please tell me Upromise... what can I buy to start earning? I still can't figure it out.

Cannot redeem rewards
April 15, 2021
Previous review

I've had the UPromise Mstercard for many years and successfully redeemed rewards in 2017. Now, the program tells me that they have no record of my account, email or rewards! The card is still open, based on the same address since 2012. I explained the situation and gave them the email from my former employment, where I have since retired, along with the account number. The respondent gave no indication of having read my note. I will discontinue the card soon and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if the promised rewards are not located soon.

I won't go into all of the annoying details, but what everyone is saying on this site is correct. I have yet to even get a response from anyone, let alone speak to a person. I have also not seen any of the money that has been going into this account for almost 2 decades. If you haven't signed up for this yet... don't. But since you are here it is probably too late. Sorry.

If they ever get back to me or rectify this situation, I will update this review.

UPDATE... Moments after I posted this review, I got a reply back to a facebook private message I sent to UPromise. No results back yet, but that is the first time someone has acknowledged my existence.

08-22-22 - I immediately replied to the facebook message referenced above and they never responded to me again after that. I then got an email saying that my email address was not correct and they asked me for another address, which I sent them immediately. Then two days later they told me that it might take 45 days to transfer the money. If it has not transferred after 45 days I get the privilege of trying to contact them again. Shortly after that response they sent me a survey asking how they did. Zero was an option, so that is what they got.

09-19-22 - I waited my 45 days and to no surprise the money did not transfer into my 529. I started contacting UPromise again and got brushed off a couple of times, but today got a response. Unfortunately, the response is just as bad. Apparently my transfer resulted in "a paper check payment and it is still pending." They are now "working on getting the funds returned back to your UPromise account. This process can take 30 days to complete." However, I don't want the money back in my UPromise account, just to have to go through this all over again! I have asked them to cut me a check directly and I will deposit it. You would think that a company that does this for a business could get this figured out.

10-31-22 - UPromise has not delivered still. I continue to contact them through any possible method and they are still ignoring me.

12-06-22 - I am now 5 months into this ordeal with UPromise. Yesterday they said they made a transfer of all of the money in my UPromise account into my savings account. I looked this morning and the money has NOT shown up in my account. I have already followed up to let them know this, but I am sure I will get the same answer as I always do which is..."It may take 5 - 7 days for the money to transfer and in some instances up to 45 days for the money to transfer." In this day and age it does not take anywhere near that amount of time to transfer money. They could write me a check and walk it to my door faster than 45 days. In my opinion it is just the next delay that they use to keep your money and hope you will give up and forget about it. I am not giving up.

Have used the company for years, first few cashouts were easy. As time progressed it became harder and harder. The second to last time I tried to cash out they used the excuse that the sponsor had not paid them the funds... (although the funds were showing as pending) so they couldn't pay me. If you never got it, then the sum shouldn't be showing in the first place.

My latest cashout is still showing as pending, so I wrote them and mentioned in the letter that if they find that the sponsor has not paid them after the amount of months that it's been pending, perhaps they should contact them as they are their affiliates. I stated communication between they and their sponsors, as well as my self, is key. And so is good customer service.

I got a reply email stating that it will be three more weeks before the pending funds will be available. Lolz, I'll bite. But I replied back that the amount of time quoted to me upon cashout differed from that which they replied back w/. I suggest they confer w/ their affiliate to reach an agreeable time frame to quote to user upon cashing out as this would cut down on confusion.

People, I'm not stupid. It's all a racket, they get paid for hooking you up w/ their advertisers, for shopping through their website or at physical stores they have agreements with. These affiliates give you the consumer cash back, after overcharging you, for doing business w/ them. Upromise collects the money. Holds it in an acct as long as they can, while collecting interest on it. You decide you want to cash out, but they don't want to let go because they want to continue getting as much interest as possible. So they give you the runaround. It's almost as bad as a ponzi scheme, and it gets worse as the economy gets worse. These companies are scrambling to stay afloat. They refuse to realize that people can't keep getting big pay packets and bonus as before. Greed is an ugly thing.

But I want my funds. So I'll play around w/ them a bit longer. Then I'll be contacting them again. I'd like to be able to get some interest from my cashout too. They had their turn, now I want mine.
