My husband died in february, 2023 and I called the local US Bank Manager and asked what I needed to do to continue to utilize my Trust Accounts with USBank. The Manager stated that there was no necessary action at that time but when the Trust documents were updated and an additional signor named to the Trust, we should come in to the bank to update the accounts. I later received a letter from US Bank stating that the tax ID numbers were expired - they were my husbands SS#. I called and gave them my SS# and also took the letter to the bank Manager - he also noted my SS# and stated that they would not close my accounts which was stated in the letter if they did not receive the needed numbers. Approximately a month later I returned home to find a check for over $100,000.00 on my driveway from US Bank, closing my savings account. I attempted to access my accounts online and was denied access to both my checking and savings accounts. I had been paperless and got all of my information for the account online - now I have no record of Billpay payments, cleared checks and etc. The Manager of the bank stated that he could do nothing to help me. I am not without resources but I am an 87 year old women, living quite independently but now finding myself at a loss without the banking institution that I banked with since 1972. Telling me that they could not assist in any way once the accounts were closed despite all of my income being in the form of direct deposit and all my ongoing expenses paid by automatic payments.
They locked both my dad's saving and my checking due to suspicious transactions.
Look for other bank
As I mentioned they're fraud team has locked me out of my accounts and all my monies left me stranded for days a new update my bank calls me just a little while ago and my banker what a wonderful person she is was concerned and made sure that I am aware that my account has been reopened and back in full control of myself thank God for good bankers I just think they're fraud team needs to be more quick at judging and getting things shifted and put back in control because it sure took an awful lot of days like the pandemics over get off of it get back to work people I don't know why it would take three full business days before they can release my funds somebody on the front end decided to make a decision over addresses but didn't want to follow through with releasing it after my banker and her manager had tried getting in touch with these people my banker and her manager were even ignored for 2 days over this and thank God for good bankers who helped me with a Band-Aid yesterday towards getting some of the salt out of my wound of being stranded so yes my bank has released my funds back to me and all things are good and back on track thank you to the Lakewood banker branch and the battleground Branch for helping me through the rough moments
They nickel and dime you for everything I have 2 accounts one only for Netflix and hulu. I canceled hulu and i hadn't put them money in there yet and they took out money for overdraft fee i think it was 36x2. I called the agreed to let one overdraft fee go i was ok with that but i still wasn't happy. I told them not to let hulu take money out because i canceled it and hulu took money out for about 6 more months without me knowing so it took away from my netflix money too quickly and I got like for overdraft fees in a row and since it was my second account i didn't realize it right away. If you dont pay the overdraft fee immediately they charge you another one in a couple days so about a month went by before I realized it and they expected me to pay over $300 for one month of netflix and refused to work with me at all on it. The jerks name is mike from southern California (go suck a chore you dirty bastard). Anyways other than this insadent they've been ok but I am officially done with them solely because of him.
US Bank has the worse customer service that I have ever experienced with any bank for over 50 years!
Worst bank that I have ever dealt with. No reason for actions by their part. I should have known when I read all the bad reviews.
I give 0 star for this bank. This bank is so horrible. They freezed my account with no reason. When I asked about the reason, they said they holded my account to review and will closed it because of check return. I showed the proof and receipt that the check was not a bounce check and the money from the check was completed deposit into my account. So, what mean is check return? When I showed the proof, they said that the account was being reviewing because of no reason. Until now, I cannot access or use my account because they are still holding it without any reason and notifying. They did not give my money back. Besides, the teller and manager of the U.S. bank branch in Brookhurst, Westminster, CA are very rude. They did not want to help you to solve the problems, they always denied their responsibility to their customers. The manager yelled at me when I wanted to know the reason why they holded my account. They just wanted to chase me away and still kept my money. Additionally, I tried to call them serveral days, but they did not answer the phone. I tried many different phone numbers, but they are still afraid to answer their customers calls. That's very terrible! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. Stay away from this bank, especially U.S. Bank, Brookhurst, Westminster CA. THEY WILL MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE A CRIMINAL!
Due to too few bankers to help a customer the service is POOR. The online directions are most difficult. I wish I had never signed up with US
Bank.
Updating my last review for this totally incompetent financial institution as when you file a dispute the company automatically cancels both your debi and credit cards without first contracting the company charge your disputing.
Regardless of your intention of keeping the card active due to charges coming through that need to be paid US doesn't care and will charge you $35.00 for every charge without your authorization.
For example if you have recurring charges it's like a bounced check which will cost you hundreds of dollars taken out of your account
As a result of this I've contacted my attorney and will seek a class action suit against US Bank for FRAUD as if they do this for everyone that's ever disputed a charge and have had this happen with one it's happened with a thousand other customers who've experience the same.
My suggests to double check your statement every day
Again NEVER TRUST or do business with this company if you know what your instore for

Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
