Never bank with US Bank, its a stupid bank, no automation. Now i have to pay the the fee to my bank for not enough money!
I do not recommend anyone, they close the account for several transactions with Zelle, freedom is over in America, gentlemen
Poorly trained tellers who do not know what they are doing. Incompetent customer service when trying to resolve banking errors. US Bank is the pits.
You cant use your own money, nothing works, neither debit nor checks despite verifying address and ID
Absolutely horrible! Hours of my life wasted on the phone with these clowns who give you the wrong information on disputes, waste your time and don't protect your money. At 9am tomorrow morning, taking all my money and moving to Chase. I thought Bank of America and Wells Fargo were bad, they are just evil. This bank is plain stupid. A hotel charges me for a night for a room I had moved out of over a week before. Sonesta won't answer my messages, and they had kept my bank card on file and stole money from my card. My bank statement clearly shows that I had just paid for an apartment so why the hell would I go back to a crappy hotel and stay there for the night when I just moved into a new place. US Bank apparently thinks I didn't check out because they were there and all Sonesta had to do was check a box saying yes. They don't bother to call me or look at my clear evidence of where I was living. They just take the money Sonesta stole from me and give it right back. Oh and then they wasted three months of my life promising me they could help me with ACH transactions that they couldn't because their idiot phone operators aren't trained to know what they are talking about. If you don't train your staff properly and it's your fault that your customer lost money by giving wrong information than you need to reimburse me US Bank. Stop sending me your stupid letters letting me know this information after it's too late now for me to do anything else about it. Taking my money out of your bank, and taking you to small claims court. Yes I will waste my time just to waste yours. NEVER AGAIN! Your agents are rude and clueless! ZERO STARS!
I have had a US Bank credit card for many years with a $25,000 limit. I never go even close to my limit. I have been receiving offer letters for a new Altitude credit card with a confirmation code. I like the benefits of the new card so I applied. I have absolutely perfect credit and pay off all of my credit cards every single month and have no additional debt but a small mortgage. I have by any standard a significant income. When I got approved for the new credit card they approved me for a $500 credit limit. I couldn't believe it as that is almost useless I called and explained that I don't need any more credit and in fact I would be happy to reduce the limit on the other card by an equal amount to this card. Every other bank will swap credit limits between card. They said that they don't do that. I appealed for a credit line increase and a day or so later got a decline letter explaining that I already had maximum credit, completely ignoring that I don't want more credit. I called again and even a senior underwriter is unable to either increase a limit or swap credit limits. They said they need to see 6 months of payment history. I have 45 years of payment history on my credit report showing perfect credit as well as many years of perfect credit on my other US bank credit card being paid in full every month. The have no ability to solve a good customers issue no matter who you talk to. I even tried calling the corporate office and was sent back to the wrong department. I will never understand the incompetence of giving a top notch customer a $500 limit on a credit card and have no ability to have even a senior underwriter resolve it.
Im too pissed to write a review. Thats how $#*!ing mad i am and how $#*!ty they are! Fuuuuuuckkk im about to shoot myself!
I opened an account with US Bank then discovered you have zero physical locations in Myrtle Beach, SC. I opened the account with $250.00 in November, on 11/28/22 I closed the account and was told the only way to get my money back was via US Mail aka Snail Mail. Here we are 12/24/22 and I still DO NOT have my money. I have made many calls and was finally told a replacement check would be sent out. Today, Christmas eve I was called by someone who told me they are sending VIA US MAIL SNAIL MAIL a form that I need to sign and have notarized before my money will be returned. At this point "Check is in the mail" is another code for stolen and fraud on behalf of US Bank. I am going to copy and paste this complaint and plaster it all over social media. I want my money back. You are a bank and should be able to do a refund to the card that I used. This is theft, clear and simple. Why is it that US Bank uses the MAIL service? Are you a bank from the 1800's. I am going to send this complaint to anyone and everyone and warn them NOT to bank with you.

Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
