Verizon has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,029 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Verizon most frequently mention customer service, new phone, and next day problems. Verizon ranks 164th among Mobile Carriers sites.
VW website is very good, although like many sites is too packed with stuff which makes it confusing to find what you want. As for their service, it is superior. I left VW after 15 years to go to Sprint. OMG! I was miserable. Screw Sprints $69 for everything! VW may be expensive, their taxes and fees tack on $20+ to an average bill but its worth it! I'm sticking with Verizon Wireless.
I agree 100 percent. Verizon overcharged and fraudulently charged hidden fees. The bill is never the same and continuously goes up in price. Offers promotions, gets you in, then bang you don't get what's promised. They'll have a different account representative call you, get you in, then suddenly you can't contact your "account representative " ever again.
So im giving Verizon a good review besides ken in financial services he was so rude to me but tiffani in customer service really helped me I really appreciate her time and patience with me thank you so much
They can not fix problem with their system. They lie and just charge you.
I have called several times they didn't fix problem they caused it and just put you on hold never returned call after was disconnected.
Sorry I had to give 1 star I could not proceed with no stars. To all you Verizon customers FYI if u decide to disconnect your internet say the day after ur monthly billing cycle u will be charged a full month. That is y we have streaming. Oh and if verizon system goes down and u try to call after it's up, u still woll be charged. GO COMCAST!
Whoever has been developing the website should get fired. The website is non-intuitive and plain poor in functionality. I just went through a lot of trouble setting up a purchase. It gave me a choice to save the shopping cart to continue later, and when I went back, it's gone! I have been frustrated with the website for years as a customer, this finally prompted me to write a bad review for it. Eff you, www.verizonwireless.com!
This is a review about the website, not any other parts of Verizon Wireless.
I have been trying to cancel my mifi device because you can not cancel anything online or on the app. I have set on the phone waiting for hours with no response and waited hours to text with a live chat, no response. The fact that they won't let you cancel your service when you login into your account is ridiculous. If the only way to do business in regards to cancelling a device is by calling them, then answer the phone. I will continue to be billed because I am unable to make contact with anyone. When I went to the store to cancel, they gave me the number to call. I have exhausted all avenues to try to cancel this device with no success. Do not choose Verizon if customer service is something you value.
I have been trying to cancel the line, for a Pad, for two years. I get promised it has been canceled only to find it has remained on my bill. I have tried canceling online, in person, over the phone etc., each and every time it has not worked as promised. From other reviews I see this is not an isolated case and it is analogous to stuffing bills with surcharges. The only reason we have stayed with Verizon is my wife's belief they have better coverage when we travel.
I have had continuous problems with my service and get no help from technical support. I am very disappointed with my experiences I have been a loyal customer for years but I think I am going to have to leave
My Wife and I had the greatest customer service experience at Verizon's Sicklerville NJ. Store. Michael, their representative treated us like we were the most important customer and walked us through our purchase with patience, understanding, and professionalism. We could not be more satisfied. We purchased 3 I phone 14's and are getting the Fios internet.
I changed from Cricket to Verizon because we wanted better phones. What we didn't want was a bill that was to high or that changed. We've had Verizon 6 months and the bill went from $223.13 a month to $351. We were set up with auto pay but due to a bank error we couldn't pay with our normal card so I did a one time payment with a different card. It cost me $128! Then the next bill ends up being $271. Then they can't explain to me why my bill will now be $231.00 a month with another increase coming in a few months!?!? They can't give me any straight answers about any of my increases! It's a friggin mess! I was paying $190 a month for 5 lines with unlimited data and better service at Cricket. I only have 4 lines with Verizon. I wish we'd just stayed at Cricket! My phone isn't even that much better, but my husband wants to stay. So friggin over it already.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Verizon if you are on a set budget.

I get terrible reception at home on my Verizon phone, which only really matters when I lose power. Unfortunately, this has happened several times over the last couple of months. I tried for hours on multiple days to talk to an actual Verizon rep. I stayed on hold for hours. I got hung up on. When I finally got ahold of a representative on chat, I was told I have "no service" in my area. You take money from me EVERY month, and now you're telling me I have no service?" She said I have 5g and 4g in my area, and a contract would get me service. (I'm prepaid, by choice.) I said I had no idea I got inferior service as a prepaid customer and told her I needed more information about this. She said, "let me connect you," and nothing else happened. Nothing. I waited another twenty minutes before I ended the chat. Verizon can kiss my a**.
Tasean Torrence ( Assistant Store Manager), was very professional, knowledgeable & patient. He made the transfer of my new phone painless! I would definitely recommend Tasean to my friends & family :)
I purchased a screen breakage insurance plan from Verizon when I purchased my phone. I was led to believe it was a one time nominal charge. Now that my screen has cracked i have discovered that Verizon will not replace or repair my phone. I must contact and work through a third party insurance company. The company said to take my phone to a local "U broke it we fix it" store. The store says my phone can't be repaired. The insurance company says now I must mail my phone to them for a week. Who is going to mail a phone and be without a phone for a week knowing it can't be repaired. Verizon says just start another contract with them and get a phone but I don't want another contract. I want my phone replaced. The local Verizon rep told me yesterday I would have a new phone by tonight and return my old phone but Verizon is not going to honor that promise.
Holy $#*!ing $#*! you suck. No wonder you're losing out to T-Mobile despite taking on Sprint. You suck and should have been left as the two companies after the AT&T antit-trust. Break up. I swear you should have been broken up further.
Tip for consumers:
$#*! you. I hope you get hit with another antitrust law than the AT&T breaker that formed the two companies that formed you.

They quote you one price then charge you something else. After you waste your time talking to there customer support people three different times they tell you it is resolved then they turn you over to collections.
This corporation should be ashamed of themselves. They sold my husband a very pricey phone and upgraded plan under false pretenses. We were told the phone upgrade would get us the NFL Sunday ticket. But when we tried to set it up now told we wouldn't be eligible because we already have a high plan! This is a crap corporation!
Listen. I don't do this $#*!. But this was the worst service I have ever received in my life. And you can treat me like $#*! idc. Listen I was on hold for 40 min. Then finally got to a person. Then had an another 25 min hold time because I had to get someone else on the line. Fine ok. Then he says someone will call you shortly. I thought perfect. Guess what a robo then they hang the phone up. I thought I was getting a person on the line so I can spend more money at you f company. Wtf is wrong with y'all. You say someone is going to call me but I get a gd robo then they hang up on me. I'm switching to $#*!ing atta or T-Mobile asap because y'all $#*! has been $#*! since forever. I hope this company gets $#*!ing bud light Ed. I didn't even finish. Y'all I called back like 5 times trying to get back so I could have told this over the phone. Y'all suck I'm switching. I hope this company doesn't exist in 3 years. And y'all phone service is $#*! too.
When it comes to typing out things I want to share about Verizon, there are actually no real negative thing I want to say. I could sit here and complain that every month my bill is too high. Or I could say the suggestive add-ons could be a little bit better. But instead, the one main concern I've always had and I've never see not one word about it is...
For a gigantic company like Verizon, I would think that there would be some kind of unlimited discount to their valuable customers. I'll use myself as an example...
1. I've been a loyal customer since 2006. That's almost 2 decades (18yrs). Way longer than any of my relationships, and just about half of my lifetime.
2. From starting off with a phone for myself and for my grandmother, I now have one phone for my oldest son, one phone for my youngest son, a phone and a tablet for my grandmother, and for me... I have an iPhone, iWatch, secondary phone (the line used to be used for my oldest sons tablet during COVID), and a new Orbic laptop/tablet.
3. I utilize the combos for streaming sites... Netflix, Paramount +, Disney+, Hulu, Max, Discovery+,
4. I always end up upgrading my devices instead of keeping it, and perchance leave to go to another service company.
It would be nice to get something back for being a customer soon 19 years. Oh, and sometimes the 5G doesn't work for... you know what I mean. Loads for browsers would be slow, or apps won't open.

I called to place an order for 4 new lines and the agent put my address in wrong. I was told I had to cancel the order and they could replace it but when I called back the next day they had no idea of the first transaction and put my address in wrong again. They ran my credit a multiple of times in the span of 5 days and could never get my order correct. They stated that because I was a new costumer I could not change my address for 30 days and could call back in 30 days to change my address and place another order where they ran my credit for a 5th time. I decided to go with another company. They are the worst wasted my time in total on hold for about 5 hours and have nothing to show for it. The will even take 48 hours to credit the money they have taken from me during each order.
I had been with Verizon for years and the price kept going up and I could not afford it. I had them cancel my tablet because I did not use it and did everything to lower my bill. Finally went either another carrier paid my final bill and kept getting a bill. Called and found out they were charging me over $120 for the tablet I had taken off. After 3 hours on the phone paid what I thought would be the final bill again and received another bill. I will never go back to Verizon again. They can't get their billing right. Horrible customer service. Will put a complaint in to the BBB
We pay extra for their network, but it does run fast, and it's reliable 98% of the time. For us, in our city, it is the most reliable service at the time and the most costly option. Well, you get what you pay for.
The worst costumer service ever! Real thief's! I'v returned a device I purchase a device and it was defect, they sent me a return label i'v sent it but then they told me that they lost it in the Warehouse so I'll have to pay for this device and if I want I can open a claim for stolen device, still trying to get my money back 7 months later!? I called over 30 times and every time needed to explain to all situation over and over again.
Verizon sucks $#*!ing $#*! I have had their dog $#*! service for years now and I'm now switching phone carriers. Everywhere I am no matter if it's my own house or if I'm in a different state doesn't $#*!ing matter I don't get service anywhere, I will have 4 bars of service and nothing works no calls no texts no nothing can't even watch videos in my camera roll but then I have 1 bar of service and i can actually some what use my phone. I'm a plumber so I'm constantly needing to call customers and all this $#*! and then they get pissed off saying I never called when I tried calling a bunch of times but Verizon sucks so much $#*! that the calls never go through and I don't receive any either and I get voicemails that is straight up hating on me for terrible service when it's Verizon's fault and it $#*!s my business. I don't recommend Verizon to anybody, $#*! 'em. I'd give a 0 review star if I could.
This year I added a line during the bring your own device get $500... then they claimed I canceled a line and needed to pay the $500 back so that was added to my next bill. No help with customer service at all. Then recently I upgraded my phone and my husband to get 800 off of the new phones this was in Sept. Here we are in November I get an email saying they are taking the 1 of the promotions back because they didn't receive the device. I said how you guys receive one phone and not the other when they were taken to UPS the same day. Make it make sense. The trade in occurred on Sept 10 and the phones were received back to them on Sept 26 which is not 30 days. I'm sick of this company and wouldn't refer them to anyone. Just a money racket and no experienced help. So don't even bother to ask for a Supervisor because they are never available
I have been a customer of Verizon for about 20 years and all I have to say is that the bill has gotten more expensive the quality of their phones have gotten worse And the service is not what they promise. As soon as my contract is up my contract is up I am going somewhere else
Very disappointing. Since receiving my new phone, with, I assume, a used phone number, I have received far... FAR more spam phone calls than I have ever received in my life. Sadly... MORE sadly, I seem to only receive about 50% of the legit phone calls I receive, but 100% of the "Suspected Spam" phone calls seem to come through. Almost daily, I get alerts that I missed a call or message, but the phone never actually rings. I am very disappointed in Verizon as I have been under the impression for years... decades that they were the best. In my personal experience, this is the worst cellular experience I have ever had.
