Well, we're dealing with scalpers and parasitic opportunists. If they have your credit information... I've just changed mine. We learn, try to limit the burn. Avoid these jackasses in the U. K., US, everywhere. Spread the word.
My wife purchased 2 x Silver Class tickets back in June 2014 for the Eagles Concert at Perth Arena on 18th Feb 2015 when ticket sales were first released. Tickets cost AUD$319 each +Booking Fee $95.70 + postage $15.95 = Total $749.65 Tickets arrived some 6 months later by mail and were stored until the concert day. We arrived 30 minutes before start (bad traffic) and were horrified when we were directed to very basic $169-00 seats high up in the side of the stadium. Very poor budget seats a long way from where we should have been sitting. It was my Birthday present from my wife and it spoiled our evening. We were ripped off.
It is total fraud and disgusting what they are getting way with.
1) 4 tickets "bought" online for £90
2) press the buy button and £30 VAT and "handling fees" now added.
3) a deliberately constructed obscure website
4) no easily method of contacting them, even my credit card company couldn't
5) contact venue to find that £90 tickets (+ £30 VAT and handling) are actually £43
6) much correspondence is met with well rehearsed unhelpful bland statements
7) Try to sell back £500 tickets "now worth £320" and if don't sell I'm stuck
8) Internet lights up with similar experience from others.
9) They know what they are doing, they are deliberately obfuscating via website, customer service is a sentence offered but not believed.
10) Whilst they are certainly guilty of sharp practice they are also knowingly morally corrupt and would even suggest comes under the wider definition of a scam. Warn others...
Ordered tickets for Spengsteen 5 mins after they went on public sale because all the tickets appear to have been bought by scam agencies like Viagogo. Paid 2 times price of ticket nick a 60 pound online booking fee... Seriously. 2 days before event they sent ticket to wrong address. Stress but friends helped me get them. 6 emails unanswered. No phone. Will NEVER NEVER use this bunch of tossers again.
A few months ago, I wrote a bad review out of complete frustration regarding trying to reach someone at Viagogo regarding my inability to attend an event out of the country, selling my tickets and getting reimbursement. It was near impossible to reach anyone.
However, now the event is over and my tickets WERE in fact sold and delivered to the buyers, I have today received the money back into my account/US dollars - their policy being to reimburse AFTER the event is held. It has only been one week since the event and I have received the money transfer in an informative, timely fashion. Honestly I was never optimistic this would happen but I'm a believer now. Don't give up trying to reach them, at the end of the day, they do their job - and I could not be more grateful. For sure, they are definitely NOT a scam.
I bought tickets for an event that was rescheduled. However I never received a notice that the event date changed. When I tried to get my money back or updated tickets I was told by Viagogo's customer service team that I had to provide proof that the event date was rescheduled or relist the tickets. Relisting the tickets were not an option when the tickets purchased have a now past date on them. Now I am in limbo trying to see what can be done without much help form Viagogo. The only thing that can be done is asking the original seller to send updated tickets, and of course I have no access to who this seller might be. Basically Viagogo acts as a middle man between a seller and buyer. When things go wrong they can do little to rectify the situation. DO NOT USE! You are better off buying directly from the venue or a reputable ticket vendor.
Customer service was great!
Basically I bought a ticket for football game in Portugal.
Had issue with the verification, sent an email, and not even 5mins later they called me and dealt with the problem.
+ good price
Ils sont top!
I bought 4 tickets fro Gypsie Kings in Marbella 3rd August 2018, was charged 492 euros and got 4 x 28 euro tickets. This is the first time I've bought tickets like this, and it was a special treat for my daughters birthday. My fault for being fooled, but very clever website putting you under pressure to buy tickets at ridiculously inflated prices. Surely it's illegal! Please someone close them down, if only I'd looked at the reviews before I bought the tickets I could have got a VIP box for less! Leave well alone and go straight to the organiser. 0 stars! It really doesn't get any worse.
No contact number, no email address, ordered tickets that cost us 400 pounds when we could have paid 150 pounds! Hoodwinked into the website saying only FIVE tickets left! No way to chase up the delivery date of your tickets! No one available to speak to PERSONALLY, help line number unavailable, they tell you the tickets haven't been released from the venue, but I've phoned the venue and they were released over 2 weeks ago! This site should be shut down! Does any fellow reviewers have any objections if I send them all to watchdog, trade descriptions and consumer protection? Please feel free to email me on *******@googlemail.com we need to stick up for ourselves!
I purchased tickets to Alexisonfire in Perth, didn't about the hidden booking fees and taxes until it had charged my credit card. The tickets had a face value of $75 and they charged me $176 per ticket! More than double the ticket price! No customer support or any way to try and resolve issues. I cant give zero stars and 1 star is far too generous so just stay away from these ripoff merchants
I want my money back
4x Pink Tickets@ $336 ended up costing me $1771. 09 with hidden charges I didn't see.
I feel tricked into purchasing Pink tickets through a website that I thought was ticketek. Scammers are scum. How can they continue to rip off people?
After reading all the negative comments from other angry and dissatisfied victims I realise I will either get no tickets for my money or will be declined at the venue by having invalid tickets. I have been to my bank and the fraud squad is dealing with this now. I hope others will do the same so we can put an end to these scammers.
Do not use this company. Tickets double the price, no replacement if lost
Or stolen, couldn't care less - should not be allowed to trade at all - absolutely immotal
- my double priced tickets came from
Ticket master! Who are these people?
I purchased two tickets for the Ireland / Scotland game in Dublin paid £329 for the two tickets! Imagine my horror when the tickets did not arrive but we're delivered to our hotel in Dublin - now I know why the face value of the tickets was £30 each what a disgusting way to rip of people! Take my advice do not use Viagogo as I will not ever again!
I paid over £600 for 3 rugby tickets for my husband and two young sons to see England Australia play at Twickenham on Nov 18th. I got an email at the time. - Congratulations, you are off to Twickenham! I bough the tickets in June as a Fathers Day gift and the boys have been talking about it nonstop since, planning our weekend in London. I checked the viagogo site last night as I was worried tickets hadnt arrived and saw order confirmed, tickets to arrive within 3 days of event. However this afternoon, I got an email saying I was being sent a refund as unavailable to secure tickets. No number to call, just cancelled, two days before the event that they had been looking forward to for almost six months...
I recently purchased tickets listed as 'Row 2' of their respective section at the upcoming soccer game between Barcelona and Rome in Melbourne this July.
Once I had completed the transaction, I was immediately sent a link to download tickets. The tickets were listed a ROW R - a far cry from the Row 2 that i was promised and paid for.
After sending an immediate message to Viagogo, I was told to wait 48 hours for a response. Almost one week later, I have heard nothing back.
I simply would not have purchased these ticket had i known they were not going to be Row 2 - and am incredibly disappointed with the situation that I now find myself in.
I saw 4 tickets at £52.-I know, naive. But as I pressed pay true price was revealed as over £280. I'm devsastated, I cannot afford that. But absolutley no refund, despite my payment still pending. Awful. Bank says ask for authorisation code. Viagogo says they don't do those.
I paid for tickets and they sent tickets from the last year. They said the tickets were still good and refused to send me tickets with the correct date. I was driving 8 hours and get a hotel to go to a concert that had the incorrect date and year! This company is a scam! Do not get screwed like I did.
Hello,
On 23 june 2016 i selled tickets for Wales vs Belgium - Quarter Finals - UEFA Euro 2016. Since they couldn' t print label i had to send tickets on my money and costs 56 euro which they confirmed in written form will refund to me. Since then 3 months has passed and i did not see my money back! They are fraud and liars, i have sent countless emails and spoke to them many times but nothing happened.
2 days back they took 40 euro from my account i don t know why. I have to find out it s incredible. But they don't answer any mail or call anymore. Please advice.
Please stay away from them.
Regards,
Gabriel.
I was so excited to see India Arie and viagogo showed up as the first search option for tickets. I don't go to concerts, so it never occurred to me that this was a third party site and may not be trustworthy. I sped all the way to the concert, parked a mile away because I had spent all my money on the ticket and power walked to the venue. I could hardly wait for the concert. But I couldn't get in. My ticket was invalid. I talked with the box office and they couldn't do anything unless I wanted to buy another ticket, but I couldn't do it. There were 2 other people who were experiencing the same problem with viagogo at the other box office window. I walked back to my car and called viagogo. Thankfully they refunded the money but it will take 2 weeks to get it back. But I missed the concert. And I never want to go to concerts. Thanks for nothing Viagogo.
This website is a scam. The service charge was more than a third the cost of the ticket - and the ticket price was also inflated! A friend got the same exact (general admission) concert tickets for $85 - I paid over $200. When I inquired, they claim that various sellers of tickets charge whatever they want over their site, so there is no oversight or concern for people purchasing tickets. The also falsely bait you by saying there are only a few tickets left!
This is basically a ticket scalping website. Wise advice would be to stay away from this organization! You're literally better off showing up at the venue on the night of the show and buying them from a street scalper. Unethical, untrustworthy organization - and after reading some of these other reviews, it was my bad to buy tickets through them. I will NEVER make that mistake again.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.
