They collect the information very well, showed it with cheap promotion. I searched two cars, first one via plate number and the second other one via vin. Vin research worked pretty well. But plate number, as soon as I paid for the membership right after I search the first car and saw that the report is ready. There was nothing. Even if they sent another link that I can get the free record. I still doubt that was the best they could.

I paid for the $1 report, which only gave the same info I received from the national site. I tried canceling via email the same day as well as with chat bot on website. Gave # to call. I responded I didn't have time to call. Website states you can cancel via those methods as well as calling. 7th day, I had a charge for $29.95. I emailed again, said call the number. I did, canceled and immediately disconnected. I called back to talk about refund, cause I already canceled 7 days prior. No answers. I left msg. Tried email but no response. Used chat bot on site and said to wait 24 hrs for them to investigate refund. This site is a total rip off. Lack of info in reports and charging after cancelation.
So much for immediate and hassle free cancelation policy that they advertise on the site. The information I received on the one report I needed wasn't even accurate. I have been trying to cancel for an hour. I keep getting the run around. I was sent to an email from the chat, then sent to call a number that just keeps cutting me off.

From the article I read which said you offered free vin lookup, I expected just that. After paying a nominal fee, I expected more than I got, which was minimal. I never got all the information I needed.
This is a scam site. You will not get a free report. They will charge you $1 then have your payment info and charge you a $30 subscription fee a week later that they refuse to refund. Beware!

I'm not one to exaggerate with trumped up reviews in hopes of getting anything-- website was quick, did just about what I had expected and was very straightforward and easy to use. No frills, no nonsense, no tricks. I appreciate that last part most.
Overall the process to get information on the vehicle I was looking for was simple. It was a little slow moving but that could of been my internet or processing the information on the car itself.

The $1 report told me what I needed to know, including the car's ownership and major repair history and the fact that it had not been in an accident. I have used other far more expensive services in the past and felt the information provided by this report was comparable.

It just was hard to negative your website. This is hard to have things done if your going just keep charging me for one pdf and another file. But that's your website and business. I do ethics for a living and your company needs it more.

You get to find out the name of the person who owns the car. It doesn't tell you if its stolen, no carfax, doesn't even tell you the size, weight, or the cars color. It was slightly helpful though so thats why it got a second star.

This company is extremely difficult to work with and the website appears to be set up to trick customers. Originally the name appears as VINhistoryUSA, everything else comes as CarInfoStory. Nothing functioned correctly on the site except taking your money. I received a text saying the report is ready with a link and nothing happened. There was an option to download which appeared to be free and as soon as you click on it a message appears for 2 seconds showing another $1 charge. I am busy caretaking of my daughter and granddaughter who both have disabilities but as soon as I saw I was being charged for the the subscription I called to request a refund and the recording states no one is available to take your call after being on hold for a bit. PayPal recommends emailing the company and I did only to receive an email replying to call to request a refund! Again, cannot get a live person and same message 2 more times no one is available! I did not want to automatically press to cancel the subscription because I want a full refund as I did not receive a report and the link did not work. I finally pressed 1 and cancelled. Worst experience ever.
