Excellent sales prices on Bob's Red Mill products. Great and fast free shipping. Best packaging I have seen from any online seller for flour products. Never any problems with orders.
Spent two hrs putting items that showed up on website, it went trough and I even got charged. I received an email for delivery date and tracking. After few days Vitacost I for me trough email that 19 items out of 20 is out of stock. Huh? They sending me only a can of coconut creamer for now. I had plans to bake and cook for the weekend. They ruined my plan. Vitacost if you don't have the stuff why you put it on website and why you allow people to waste their time. Are you going out of business?
I've placed several orders through Vitacost and have referred family and friends. I didn't experience any issues with shipping delays (most orders come on the third day), products being "bad", or incorrect or missing items. This last shipment, I did not receive an item and two of the items were leaking. I stated I merely wanted a replacement for the missing item, but I wasn't terribly concerned with the leaking items (the tape they place over the lids and caps usually stops the problem). Within just a couple of hours overall for two e-mails, I had replacements for all three items preparing to be shipped.
I am also someone who writes reviews for every single item I purchase so not "all" of the reviews are fake.:)
Their products are much cheaper than what I'm able to find on Amazon most of the time, plus their selection is much greater. Not to mention, it's hard to pass up $10 for you and a friend each time you refer someone. I appreciate their speedy customer service and will continue to shop Vitacost.
I have been shopping at Vitacost for more than 15 years and, until the last 2-3 years, would have given them 5 stars. There have been increasingly frustrating order deliveries (nothing to do with supply/demand). Deliveries are delivered to wrong addresses, left at the back of my apartment on parking lot/driveway in weather and easily stolen if someone was inclined. This is in spite of a large sign asking that deliveries be left at front door. Most of the Vitacost deliveries in my area are by OnTrac. FedEx and Amazon have never done this and I am a frequent online shopper. In addition, with more frequency, is leaving my Unit # off of the label (contributing to the delivery issues). I have chatted, called, emailed multiple times with Vitacost Customer Service. They are happy to send the order again or refund but I have been unable to get them to address the core issues. An example would be letting them know the Unit # was not on the label. They say they see it in their system so don't believe it is not there. At one point I took a picture of the label sans Unit # but they did not want to see it. My latest order (placed on 3/1/22) was within 20 miles of my home and sat there for 7 days then sent back to Vitacost. When I talked with a supervisor, there was no apology, no explanation, just offer of resending order in another 4-5 business days. The most frustrating is their unwillingness to address the basic reason for the delivery issues. I am now researching alternative sites to order from. I may not be their highest spending customer but I average $150 - $200 per month.

Vitacost sent me an email with a 12 percent discount code. I logged in to the website, placed an order and entered the code. It didn't work. Tried multiple times with no success.

Vitacost used to be OK. I decided I didn't want to buy any more stuff and have FOUGHT LIKE HELL to get off their email list. I have sent multiple emails, called them, etc. etc. The person I called said it would take a month. Finally I started to bombard them with UNSUBSCRIBE ME emails ( in huge highighted letters) as they are doing to me. I received three different emails today suddenly from three different people. (1) We've unsubscribed you; wait 24-48 hours. (2) We need your email address in order to unsubscribe you (!) (3) You have to go into your account in order to unsubscribe.
Sign up with them if you want to get MARKETING emails FOREVER.
Order hemme iron (only one my stomach can tolerate) from here and usually receive in about a week or less -- great prices -- check retailmenot for coupon codes and coupon cactus for cash back.
They overcharged me for shipping yet I had still pay VAT and admin fees on arrival and it took ages, I contacted vitacost and they told me shipping could take up to 60 days which is totally unacceptable. I had much better experience with IHERB in terms of shipping cost and time, they deliver at cheaper cost with DHL.
Vitacost has a great selection of vitamins along with gourmet and organic foods. And customer service has improved dramatically. Will shop there again!
Ordered two jars of the Ener G Baking Powder. Packaged arrived dumped near the front door on the ground. Picked it up and discovered it had been cut open and retaped. Opened the package and found one of the jars was missing. Notified the company. They refunded that jar. Went to use the other one. Found it had been opened! Called the company, they refunded that jar. If you remember the tylenol murders, you realize that food that has been tampered with is a huge hazard. I would never order from Vitacost again. They were pretty blase'. They didn't much care. I'm concerned about the buying public, getting dangerous product! BEWARE! VITACOST IS WELL AWARE OF MY POSITION ON THEIR POSITION!
One star for lower price. Watch this site like a hawk, for errors. The site will add products to your order from previous orders. If you leave and come back to your existing order it takes away discount. Each time you have to check it is still there. I have put in send to my billing address, only to have it sent to my old billing and no matter how I showed the error had to arrange to drive to my old address to pick up a very heavy box. They charged me (pending) for a gift order on my credit card and told me there was no record of it. I called because I didn't get a confirmation after placing the order. I know there was no record. Duh! They suggested I reorder. I find the incompetence at a level previously unmatched in my online experience and I've ordered directly from other countries where English isn't the first language. Don't get angry with the person who is incompetent though, they're really sensitive. If they talk to you in a soft voice and say " sorry", you'll be expected to jump through hoops and apologize for their blunders. If you still want to shop at Vitacost, I suggest you take screenshots of your completed order, track the charge with your bank and keep good records. There's a good chance, you may wish you had when you need to dispute charges with your bank card.

I had an issue with one of my orders and via live chat I received support by Amy and she quickly solved the issue. Excellent customer service. I wish all the companies would work that efficient.
I have placed an order with Vitacost and some of the products received had an expiry date of July 2023.
Reached out to Vitacost and they agreed to submit a refund request for the products, however they refuse to credit the shipping charges and the taxes paid, stating that they have not charged any. Well, they have charged me for the GST and PST (Canadian taxes) in the obscure section called "International shipping surcharges".
When I confront them about that, their response is that they never refund these charges and they never refund the shipping charges. I said, ok then, reship the 3 bottles that were expired... They don`t do that.
So they want me to accept to be ripped off...
I have opened a dispute with Paypal and my advice, avoid this dishonest company at all cost unless you want to receive expired products and you want to be ripped off.
After few days, escalations, they told me that they have processed the requested credit but no trace of any credit anywhere and after 1 week, still no credit showing...I asked them for the credit transaction number and without any surprise, they didn`t respond

They advertise "free shipping" if you order over forty-nine dollars worth of merchandise, but I ordered fifty-three dollars (pre tax) worth of merchandise and WAS NOT GIVEN free Shipping! They would not even bother to respond to my emails regarding this issue! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY-THEY ARE DISHONORABLE!
Ordered several bags of Choc Zero white chocolate chips. They arrived completely melted, thrown in the box with no insulation, no cooling packs, just bags of mush, chocolate ruined. Never again.
I put in an order on 5/15, it said free expedited shipping on my receipt (order was over $55). One day later I receive my shipping notice that it was going under standard shipping not expedited as stated on my receipt which I still had up on my screen.
Customer service said basically sorry nothing we can do except give you a 10% discount which was already the sale going on and expedited shipping on my next order even though their site was stating exactly that (10% off plus free expedited shipping on orders over $49) so basically they are lying. Pulling you in with an offer and stating it on the order yet not honoring it then trying to justify their error. They even told me that my order stated standard shipping when it was clear by my still up order receipt that it was free expedited. They are giving me free expedited on my next shipment so they say but how can I believe them and what recourse do I have since they have done this already? I will definitely never order from them again. I would have ordered from another website but was pulled in by their bogus offer. In one week I will see if the order even arrives (that was supposed to be here tomorrow). Go to a more reputable company or just accept that your order will not come when they say it will without any recourse except through the credit card company which will be my next step.
We placed an order with Vitacost on August 11th and called to work with the them to insure that the package would arrive before we left for extended travel on the 19th. Vitacost did not ship the package out till the15th so we called to cancel the order, but we were assured that it would be on time - and that if it was not, we could return it for a full refund $422.
The package did not arrive until after we had left, Vitacost then refused to allow the package to be returned, and refused to honor their commitment to refund or to allow us to return the merchandise. The package is still sitting UNOPENED at our home, and Vitacost continues to refuse to honor their promises.
We now use iHerb for all of our products and will never use or recommend Vitacost for any products.
Ordered on 5/15/23, Order Never Shipped, Have asked for REFUND, twice and both times state it takes 5-7 business days to complete! It is now 5/26/23 STILL NO REFUND! I have ordered several times and normally packages arrive on time. It still shows tracking number, however NEVER SHIPPED. I think things perhaps have changed there. I was told by Supervisor they have changed things this year! GUESS what? They aren't working well! I give up, I will NEVER order again from this company!

While swansonsvitamins.com is my primary source for my vitamins etc. because of the low price point, VITACOST is my backup and a close second. They have EVERYTHING and... I ordered from them this past tuesday and recieved my order the NEXT DAY! I couldn't believe it. I chose standard shipping, nothing special, and had my order the next day. So, NICE WORK Vitacost.

I have been a very satisfied, regular Vitacost customer for 15 years. Vitacost provided excellent customer service and product satisfaction. Not now. I have tried numberous times to contact get in contact with customer service to return an unopened item and I get no response, and I am out $92. I've put many of my friends onto Vitacost, and I am stopping completely from order from Vitacost and alerting my friends. QUESTION: How can a Vitacost customer get Customer Service's attention and a get a response?
