Excellent sales prices on Bob's Red Mill products. Great and fast free shipping. Best packaging I have seen from any online seller for flour products. Never any problems with orders.
Spent two hrs putting items that showed up on website, it went trough and I even got charged. I received an email for delivery date and tracking. After few days Vitacost I for me trough email that 19 items out of 20 is out of stock. Huh? They sending me only a can of coconut creamer for now. I had plans to bake and cook for the weekend. They ruined my plan. Vitacost if you don't have the stuff why you put it on website and why you allow people to waste their time. Are you going out of business?
BY FAR THE BEST COMPANY TO ORDER FROM! I buy lots online from various websites and my experience with this company has been the best so far! In fact I NEVER write reviews for company websites. Usually I write reviews ONLY for products. I have now ordered 4 times. I live in Canada and usually get my order in one week or a bit over one week... which IS HUGE in itself. NOW the PRICES... WAY CHEAPER than ANY OTHER site for the same products. PROMOTIONS and discounts are fantastic above and beyond cheap prices. Last but not least... cheap shipping to Canada and FREE shipping to USA. AWESOME!
Vitacost Is running a fraud!
They had my package rerouted back to them and then refused to refund me, I spoke with multiple agents: "Julie, Linda and Danielle." They refused to get me a supervisor and "Julia and Linda" disconnected the chat when I asked for a supervisor instead they gave me the run around, how request for "refund has been submitted." And, "Linda" stated "warehouse will refund me." and, they spew so much bs over a course of week and NEVER RECeived a refund for the package that was NEVER DELIVERED, rude and incompetent customer service and "Danielle"had the nerve to tell me to be "professional" yet won't issue a refund, this company clearly has rude and incompetent employees and on top of that, they are stealing from customers, and I had to dispute the charge at last resort, do not shop with fraudulent company
I'm shopping from Canada and Vitacost charges what is supposed to be our HST tax of 13%. However, they charge this on every item in my cart, including all food items, and grocery food is not taxed in Canada. I complained about this twice with regard to my order of March 9,2015. It is May 8 and they still have not resolved this problem. To me, this is a deal breaker. I am searching for a place with the products I want that doesn't take money they have no right to take. I had this problem once with Swanson's and they corrected it right away. Too bad they don't have all the things I'm looking for because their customer service seems to be GREAT!
UPDATE: I finally found a very dedicated customer service woman who sent my complaint to her managers and contacted their courier service, which calculates the taxes. The courier service refunded some of the taxes. Unfortunately, the courier doesn't seem to understand how taxes in Ontario are calculated and on which products. They are always wrong in the amount they charge. With each order I request a review of the taxes charged, and I get a partial refund. Sometimes they refund too little and sometimes too much! Although I usually end up paying a little more tax than I should, VitaCost selection is really great and the total cost of my orders is a little less than at Swansons, who don't have quite as good a selection in the items that I'm looking for. VitaCost rep is doing her best and overall I'm happy. Don't know if I could resolve these errors

Not only are they daily sending emails to constantly waste your time, they also send junk mail thru the USPS to hound you, waste your time, violate your privacy, despite phone calls and emails telling them to keep their spam emails and junkmail to themselves, They simply will not stop. So unless this is what you want, do not ever go into VITACOST website when searching for something unless you want them hounding you daily forever.
I ordered NUTRIENT 950 Vitamins WITHOUT vitamin-K as my endocrinologist said It is not appropraite for me.
They sent me the vitamins with VItamin K and I did not break the seal.
I used their chat box and luckily, I sent a copy to my email.
The person wanted pictures of the bottle, the expiration date and lot #.
I wanted an exchange for plain NUTRIENT 950 and requested a return shipping label.
They kicked me out of the chat and closed down my profile in 30 seconds.
I read the chat to VISA over a recorded line, and they processed the "DISPUTE" in the moment.
Talk about unreasonable to a long time customer who gave them another chance.
The last order ended up in a puddle overnight.

I was going to order something and reading these comments just changed my mind. I don't want to loose my money at all so it's best I avoid vitacost and move on.
I have to update my original review which I published on 3/13/14 as Vitacost redeemed themselves with stellar customer service.
I placed a first time customer order on 3/5/14. At the time, the vitacost website said Free shipping on orders over $50 and that that orders placed for my ZIP code before 1 P.M. would arrive in 1 business days [sic]. Nearly a week later and I had not received anything so on 3/12/14 I sent them an email and received an automatic response. On 3/13/14 the website was indicating that my items had been "picked" but not shipped yet so I published the review here. Later that day I finally received an email response explaining higher than anticipated order volume and power outages due to storms in the area. In the email they offered a discount on my current or on my next order. While I think they could have done a better job communicating the status of my order (like an automated email after it didn't ship in the advertised time frame), they apologize and attempt to make it right.
I replied to the email indicating my preference for the discount, and received an email the following day stating they since my shipment still hadn't gone out they were sending me a new order. I finally did receive the order within a couple days, plus I received the replacement order. Kinda makes me hope my next order gets delayed like that!
Yes I would order from them again but lesson learned - It may cost time to get products this cheaply so I will plan accordingly on my next order and communicate with them as soon as there is a delay.

I have been a customer of Vitacost for 10+ years with orders over that time in the $1,000s. A couple of days ago I placed an order at Vitacost website totaling $169.11. Went to check my bank account that Vitacost double billed me under the phrase of "pre authorization". The bank showed that Vitacost billed billed me once for $169.11 and stole $169.12 on a second billing without my consent. I contacted Vitacost and they informed I would be seeing the second withdrawal returned to my bank account in 7 to 10 days. It should be noted this was NOT an error on Vitacost part, they did this on purpose to cover the original payment they stated, stole money out of my bank account without my consent. There is no logic in that explanation Vitacost provided, furthermore again, Vitacost has become a scam and illegal operation.
Now onto the order itself which arrived today. They shipped with items missing and no explanation.
Double billed and not sent the items I ordered.
I highly suggest anyone considering placing an order for supplements to go shop at a reputable online site, someplace else for your own piece of mind.

I am done with ordering from this company. An order placed on February 14th has still not shipped on February 22nd! When are these online companies going to learn their roles are to make shopping EASIER and NOT MORE DIFFICULT.
Florida is famous for stories about the most devient behavior in the U.S. on the internet and supplement companies who think not shipping something for 9 DAYS is acceptable!

I made an account and then ordered. They canceled my order without explanation. When I contacted them they said all they could tell me was "Suspicious Activity". I asked what that meant and they said they didn't know but I could reorder and they'd honor my promo code I had used.
I made a new order and went to check on the status 3 days later. BOTH orders were listed as "Not Yet Shipped", I contacted them again. They told me both orders were canceled.
I asked why and they said again "Suspicious Activity". This time a supervisor got on the chat and told me it was because I had multiple accounts... which I don't.
So my account is blocked from ordering because of an imaginary second account and they can't even fix it. SO I'm permablocked for no reason. Cool. All I wanted was some protein powder in bulk.
Meanwhile despite apparently being blocked, the site still allowed me to go through the process of ordering and put the order in my history tab.
I COULD have my husband just order on his own account but I just don't want to give them my money now.
Good job Vitacost (Kroger). You've lost a customer and this one will be putting this review on every review site I can find.

I've been using them for over 3 years and have had no problems. When I made mistakes on my orders, they've taken care of it in a speedy manner with awesome customer service.
I've placed three orders with Vitacost and have never had a problem. Their prices are way below retail. I won't buy my vitamins or supplements from anywhere else.
I found the sale selection above average. My order was processed and arrived promptly. Also received helpful email updates. Will purchase from them again.
I ordered Pacific Foods' organic unsalted chicken bone broth, 12 32oz cartons from VISTACOST, expecting the cartons to come in a manufacturer's 12-pack box. Instead, the order came in two separate boxes, both with VISTACOST's logo; one with 11 cartons and the other with a singe carton in a Ziploc bag. Very unusual.
More surprise was that the bagged isolated carton had its cap lid opened (no "click" at opening). It is obvious that the VISTACOST shipper was aware of the open lid because the carton came in a Ziploc bag probably to prevent spillage.
Can you believe this?
AN OPEN FOOD ITEM IS NEVER ACCEPTABLE.
I filed a full refund request. After 2 business days, no contact.
