Excellent sales prices on Bob's Red Mill products. Great and fast free shipping. Best packaging I have seen from any online seller for flour products. Never any problems with orders.
Spent two hrs putting items that showed up on website, it went trough and I even got charged. I received an email for delivery date and tracking. After few days Vitacost I for me trough email that 19 items out of 20 is out of stock. Huh? They sending me only a can of coconut creamer for now. I had plans to bake and cook for the weekend. They ruined my plan. Vitacost if you don't have the stuff why you put it on website and why you allow people to waste their time. Are you going out of business?
Hey everyone I ordered a product and they sent me confirmation email, product was not correct, I replied immediately ( literally 10 minutes later) to fix it but no response 24 hours then called the customer service, lady told me i will stop the shipment and refund your money, I got a confirmation email about refund, but I received that wrong product and no refund. Called back they were like we are sorry we had a technical issue and we are doing refund now. And again no refund. Last call I talked to manager his name is Wayne, never listen to me and he told me they decided to not refund my money. I asked why, no explanation. It seems they are a scammer and I don't recommend this website.

We often see great promises about companies standing behind their products and promises of superior customer service, but often these promises turn out to be hype. In the case of VitaCost, everything they promise is TRUE! I had occasion to have a bad reaction to a supplement I had purchased from VitaCost. I filled out an online request for refund yesterday afternoon citing the problem and I'll be darned if this morning in my email, I found VitaCost had already responded with a refund! I am totally impressed and this experience has solidified my commitment to use VitaCost for all our supplement needs! Thank you, VitaCost!
Cancelled order on me, "out of stock" however they never notified me. Order in my account stated "processing/ pending" customer service rep argued with me and told me I was notified and that order states cancelled as I was staring at it on my computer. Anyhow, waste of time, now I have no dish soap :(
Ordered four bottles of a pricey supplement. Delivery service lied and said it was delivered to my main lobby of my apartment complex. I have no main lobby! There is a rental office here that closes at 5pm and they do not accept deliveries for residents. The delivery was supposedly delivered at 8pm! Pretty interesting considering they don't accept packages and it was three hours after they close.
Dealing with customer service is like pulling teeth. Hours after I contact them about the issue, they send me an email asking for my shipping address to double check. It's on the order receipt you idiots! They are clearly wasting time until they go home, this could have already been resolved by a competent person.
I should have come here before I placed my order. I will never order from them again, this has been a terrible waste of time. From now on I'm sticking to Amazon.
I stocked up a few months ago on Simple Truth Organic Applesauce. I have used this product before with no problems, however, when I opened a jar and tasted it, I nearly threw up. It tasted like moth balls! HORRID! Because it was past 60 days that I had purchased it, the lady wouldn't give me any kind of credit. So much for "stocking up." My purpose in writing is to warn you, if you have purchased this brand, dated " best if used by December 28,2023," see if you can get your money back. Blessings to you…
I have been using Vitacost for several years for my supplements and vitamins. Check their website because they also sell other products. They have so many things that you can get in a standing store. I do not have to drive to these stores and pay a lot more for the products that I can get by shopping Vitacost. Vitacost products will save you so much more!
Don't bother with these people. You waste your time entering an order, and they won't except your valid credit card. They tell you to try another card. You do; same result. Their customer service people are totally worthless, and won't do anything to fix the problem. Find another place to buy your vitamins. I did (with same credit card Vitacost won't take!)
Tip for consumers:
Just don't waste your time on this worthless, unhelpful company.

I've been doing business with Vitacost for many years. I gave them a LOT of business. But if in a rare instance you finally need to return something or receive a credit because of something that's not your fault? They turn the other way. VERY poor business ethics. After all of the money I spent on Vitacost in all of these years, I received a bad product and they pretty much say, 'screw you'. Another time about 10 years ago, I received a unsealed product and they finally did issue a replacement, but they indicated it was a one-time courtesy gesture. ONE TIME COURTESY? It was NOT my fault! Normally courtesy gestures are given when the customer makes a mistake. Terrible.
I shop here often for my vitamins, health & beauty, food, household etc. They have mostly all natural, organic, vegan, good for you products at reasonable prices. And they ship it out to you fast too! I love how nicely they pack everything and put spillable items in ziplock bags that I can reuse for other items. I've been shopping from their site for close to 4 years now and so glad I discovered them!
I wrote to Vitacost three times between 3/5 and 3/25/15 to ask about a product (their Noni juice) that tasted MUCH different than usual. Product delivered end of January. Opened it after finishing the last bottle we had left at the end of February. Taste and smell have changed considerably. Used this product for years and years. Know Noni juice isn't supposed to taste great, but the last order/lot # ******* tastes REALLY strange or possibly turned. Also has a different and bad smell. Husband and I noticed we haven't been feeling too well since we started with it. Just a coincidence? Sent in review (and notified that Vitacost would let me know when my review is posted) but never made it to the web-site's product reviews (nor were any for this batch). Hate to throw out since we stocked up on the last BOGO sale. Just waiting to find out if it's safe to drink. Order # *******
UPDATE 2: They have gotten much better. Started out absolutely horrible with my first several orders but now they are really making an effort to do the right things and I am a customer for now, in spite of all the unethical things which took place in the beginning. I do give credit when someone improves and they have.
UPDATE: I am changing my rating adding one star as after going through hell with them initially I now have access to a person, the director of something, who is able to address my issues as they come up without a hassle. But because of the extremely bad experiences I had in the beginning I am still only staying at 3 stars. I am a regular customer now. But still VERY wary each and every time I order as it was quite bad initially.
Jessica and Nyoka in their customer service department are the absolute worst. Our family has been shopping with them for a dozen years, spending thousands as repeat customers. An order recently arrived damaged and they wouldn't send us replacements, stating that we need to contact UPS. Dealing with Jessica and Nyoka was the most unpleasant experience ever. They give zero effort to customer service. What a way to treat a loyal customer. Will never shop with them again, and I urge everyone to stay away by a mile.
Vitacost used to be the best company. Great prices and selection. But no more. They had been going down hill a bit but since covid its gotten a lot worse. Nearly every order has an issue. Dented cans of food that were clearly dented prior to shipping, jars that open and make a mess. Crushed bags of food. My most recent order had two jars of olives that opened and there was a mess to deal with. I requested a refund, it showed it was approved then a couple of days later I get an email saying I need to provide pictures, that is fine, I don't mind the pictures however they should have asked in the refund request process, not days later. I will not shop with them to the degree I have been anymore. They have changed the way they ship and they do not show value to customers the way they once did. It is a Kroger company after all.
Vitacost sends a text for 20% off site wide with a $150 purchase. At the checkout, in my experience, all of my items didn't qualify for the discount promotion. This was a waste for myself and for the family members that I discussed the order with. "20%SITEWIDE" in their text to me did not say there would be exceptions. Also, when I was on their site there was no indication the items choosen didn't get the 20%discount. This is done to deliberately take the customer to the checkout with items that are charged at full price, a trick of "bait and switch". Be wary of Vitacost.

I always check Vitacost before I buy anything these days. They have the best prices on everything. They sell some of the same brands that my ND sells. They also sell brands that have the same active and non active ingredients, of different brands, that my ND sells. They also carry the same organic skin care line that an herb shop here in town carries. Vitacost sells it for a nice percentage less. Plus I always take advantage of the free shipping.
Vitacost sent a purchase to the wrong address 2 times and would not correct it in any way! The first time I figured it was my mistake and took the hit because I was not sending to my default. The second time I was uber careful and triple-checked where it was to be sent on the very last screen and it still went to the wrong address. The worst part is that customer service refused to take responsibility or help.
If you get a damaged item in shipment, or find, as I did, that the Vitacost brand Ginseng was padded with half rice flower, you will have to wait up to 24 hours to get permission to send the item back, and pay the return shipping without reimbursement - even if the item is defective.
Schiesters!
For all of you who have an interest in better health by drinking berry juices (acai berry etc.) I must recommend this website. I've been buying from them for 3 years, and never a glitch. The product always arrives timely, great customer service, and their prices can't be beat. My favorite item that I reorder every month is:
Smart Basics Organic Certified Acai Berry Gold 100% Pure Juice -- 32 fl oz
This is BETTER than most advertised products and blows away scams like Mona Vie! Check it out for yourself. I am a seriously satisfied customer.
And after sending them a picture of the bottomless bottle, their customer service did not reply at all,
I sent a few Emails with just an automatic reply saying they will be back with an answer and that was the last I heard from them
I signed up for autoship; first one went fine. Then, nothing. Tried to check my account, it just keeps changing the date of when the order "shipped", but still not received. Customer service (their little chatbox) couldn't "help" me locate the order. Guessing they just don't want to ship it because they want to raise the price; they could just tell me and I might have been agreeable. Now I'll just never order from them again.
Tip for consumers:
Would like to get an actual answer regarding my auto-ship status.

I saw a lot of negative reviews of Vitacost on Sitejabber, & so I was reluctant to order from them. However, what I was ordering (Delallo whole wheat pasta and whole wheat flour) was significantly cheaper than other sites or retail stores & so I took a chance. My order was taken filled and delivered in 5 days with the entire order accurate. I would use them again.
Tip for consumers:
It seems a lot of the negative reviews were from people who ordered vitamins. I ordered food. The Delallo pastas were $2.39/lb, whereas it's $3.39 - $4.39 in grocery stores and up to $13/lb on some Amazon sites.
Products used:
Delallo whole wheat pastas and Red Mill whole wheat flour.
I tried to order 32 packages of Arrow Head whole grain puffed rice and wheat. Their site promised that If I give them my email for promotional purposes, they would give me a 10% discount. I did as they asked and they gave me a code that was invalid. I repeated the process and they again told me their code was invalid.
I sent them a complaint.
They told me they would not honor their code but I was to place the order anyway, pay the full price and then contact them and they would give me a refund in the amount of the promised discount.
I am not stupid. Vitacost is a scam.
Everything is okay only that the free shipping puts your things any where but there! Customer service does not want to state their rules for refund other than asking you the remaining left over and then tells you not to send them back. At other times, you do. Kind of makes you think that you are asking for them to give you the items FOC? (Free Of Charge in exchange for calling them.)
I ordered some red split lentils. Paid $5.44 for bag plus $5 shipping. They arrived a few days later but they were not red split lentils they were just red lentils. Also they expired the next month. The bag looked very old as well. They refunded me the price of the lentils only. Not sure why I should be responsible for shipping cost of product that I didn't receive. Will try reaching out to company again to get refund in shipping.
Update: I reached out and they refunded my shipping. The only issue I have then was the product was incorrect and expired soon. But good customer service so they get 4 stars
Their online order system changes order totals of $50 or more to take away one item, so that they can charge you $5 postage. This occurs after you have placed the order to cheat you. They also take away promo codes to cheat you. They just did this to me. Then, I called customer service and the girl said "too bad" and refused to correct this, costing me $10 more than I should have paid.
