Spent two hrs putting items that showed up on website, it went trough and I even got charged. I received an email for delivery date and tracking. After few days Vitacost I for me trough email that 19 items out of 20 is out of stock. Huh? They sending me only a can of coconut creamer for now. I had plans to bake and cook for the weekend. They ruined my plan. Vitacost if you don't have the stuff why you put it on website and why you allow people to waste their time. Are you going out of business?

I've been doing business with Vitacost for many years now and am sad to report that I may not be doing so for much longer. I made a one time, routine request for my 2022 invoices from the company two weeks ago to validate medical expenses for accounting purposes. I was unable to use online order information as my orders need to be shipped to another address, and so my name, address and billing information do not appear on the orders as they appear online. I have corrected this for 2023 and explained as much to customer service.

It took several calls to receive about half of my invoices, after which time the invoices simply stopped coming, with no explanation. For the record, I had no such problem with other supplement companies (Swanson, IHerb) who responded to my concerns right away. When I called Vitacost a fourth time and explained to a customer service associate that I was still waiting for eight invoices, she asked for the remaining order numbers and dates which I promptly provided. I was assured (as I had been on previous calls) that I would receive the invoices in 24-48 hours. I did not. And so, I contacted customer service a fifth time, and asked to speak to a customer service supervisor. I was connected to Crystal who said that invoice copies might take as long as 72 hours. I said I would wait, then, and recontact customer service if I did not get the invoices. I did not get the invoices.

I contacted customer service one final time and attempted to reach Crystal to see if, at very least, I could get some explanation for the missing invoices. I was told that Crystal was on a call with another customer and would return my call within an hour. I did not receive a return call.

I honestly don't think I've ever been treated this badly by any customer service department anywhere. This is especially puzzling in light of the fact that I've spent a lot of money at Vitacost over the years. I don't know what's happened to Vitacost, but I'm swearing off this company, and I suggest that you heed my warning and do the same.

There should be an option to give zero stars as a rating. As a long-time customer of Vitacost, I always found the service to be excellent. Sadly, that has changed. I placed my usual order and only received one item instead of the seven I paid for. When I called, the clerk said she didn't know why the rest of my order was not sent. She said they would be sent by overnight courier. I received a confirmation email. Two days later, no delivery, and instead I got an email saying my order had been cancelled. I called and was on hold for 25 minutes before suddenly being redirected to take the one question survey, "Would I want to have this clerk handle my next call?" Yes or no. I never even spoke to anyone. Then I was disconnected. I called again and after a 30 minute hold, spoke to a clerk who said she had no idea why the order was cancelled. She also refused to send me the items I paid for. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was on hold for another 45 minutes, with updates from the clerk telling me where I was in the queue. Finally, I was number one to speak to the supervisor. Five minutes later I was told the supervisor was too busy helping other customers and I was told to send an email. I called again, got a different clerk, who told me they were refunding me, less the cost of shipping, which was $9.99 to Canada, plus I was being charged the full price for the one item I received. It was supposed to be BOGO 50% off the second bottle, which was never sent, along with the other items. The clerk didn't know why the order was cancelled when I specifically told the first clerk that I wanted the items shipped and received the confirmation email that they were sending the missing items. Apparently, the order was cancelled by another department. I will no longer order from Vitacost. The customer service is non-existent, and why would I place orders, only to have them cancelled for no reason? People who experience these problems should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau

Will advertise miniature sized products at normal sized prices, to scam you. Avoid this site at all cost!

Check product weight and size as the site will present miniature products are normal prices to mislead you

Always fast shipping and careful packaging from Vitacost. I have yet to receive an incomplete order or broken item.

Great prices and fast shipping! Never had to use customer service because my orders have always been correct so I can't comment about that.

My advice, dont shop at vitacost. Im in canada and never received my package, it took 30 days from the time my order was placed for them to process a refund. I had to email multiple times (most of which were not returned), and had to call several times. No one called me back. I was only emailed back after the refund was processed and it was a generic response. The supervisor Nina I spoke with was not helpful what so ever, not sympathetic and offered no consolation of any kind.
Not even a 10% off coupon which are given away like candy over there was offered to me.
This was a $300 canadian value order which had Bogos and I used a coupon, if I placed the same order again now it would cost about $400 canadian minimum. If I actually wanted the items I had ordered I will be forced to place another order without the discounts I received earlier from their sale. This is not ok at all. A coupon should have been offered so I could have had to opportunity to place my order again without it costing me anything extra. It was not offered even when I asked, just the same generic response from the supervisor Im really sorry, and I understand your frustrated. Because that is an appropriate response when someone asked for a coupon so they can re-order. You would think they would want to keep by business but apparently not. Save yourself some trouble and by from iherb.com, luckyvitamin.com or pureformulas. Never had a problem with any of these sites. Ever since kroger bought vitacost the canadian customer got the short end of that deal!
It's been exactly 30 days since my order was sent and the refund STILL hasnt cleared on my credit card, although it should. That is besides the point, they kept my money for 30 days and I never ended up with an order. So BUYER BEWARE. They could give me a $100 off coupon and I STILL wouldnt shop there again and I was a loyal customer for 5 years.

Some idiot on the review talked about "some liking guns, some dont." Just so many stupid people, Vitacost worked great for you because you didnt run into issues, when an issue arrives, that's when you get to find out what kind of retailer Vitacost is or any other!

I ordered a diffuser which is basically so flimsy made in China and it didnt work, I contacted them and they sent me a refund confirmation for a diffuser that costs $25 and then next day, they told me to send the diffuser back to them! I was so confused to what to what as I had already discarded the diffuser in the garbage! And, I tried explaining to many reps, they were like "you shouldn't have discarded it, we need the product back for you to get refund." And, I was like then why send me email confirmation that you have approved the refund, and then next day they cancelled/voided the refund and asked the product back,

They wouldnt budge over $25 product and they basically first gave me refund and then voided it next day and I just decided to send Vitacost everything else back due to horrible customer service and such fraud!

So beware, these people are basically running a fraud, why advertise "easy returns and refund." Dont bother with them, I even forwarded them email refund confirmation, they didnt care, and kept insisting I send them $25, Made in China defective diffuser back if I want refund despite me telling them it's been discarded!

Do not give this shady/fraudulent company your hard earned money, how are you going to void/cancel a refund that's been approved and then wait over 30 hours and ask me for a product back which has been discarded? Is that even legal when you basically told me you approved the refund and then crawl it back and ask me for a product back which has already been discarded?

+3 weeks waiting & counting for a paid order to first SHIP at Vitacost. With market available products that shipped next day at iHerb when I had to order there also to get my vitamins.

In 2018 I opened my Vitacost account and ordered for thousands of dollars over the years. But never have experienced what I am going through now.

- on 29jan22 I ordered for 218$ with special promo code for 20%.

- a week later, I opened my account and noticed that my order was still not shipped. I contacted Vitacost customer support via chat, and they let me know that my order will ship soon but they have some delays due to many orders.

- So I waited another 4 days and contacted Vitacost again via chat. With all the waiting, I lost another hour just to hear the same my order will ship soon. (asked for the support transcript)
- To be sure I wrote Vitacost customer support an email on 11febr22 with all details of the order, included printscreens, asking when the order will be shipped. I did not got any reply the next days so had to resent the same email 3 times.

- on 18febr22 I got a reply from Vitacost. Offering me a promotional code for 154$ that would replace my existing order that has not shipped yet.
= my paid order of 218$ not shipped yet after 3 weeks, has now lost 64$ in value, on top I lost the 20% special discount of that promo that has expired because they ask me to enter a new order without the discount of 20%, and on top I lost 5 hours chatting & emailing with Vitacost support asking when my order will ship. Shipping is full in control of Vitacost and has nothing to do with the courier.

CONCLUSION:
So Vitacost lets an old client wait for +3 weeks and counting, never ships the product and then gives a voucher to order again with a loss of 64$ and loss of that special discount of the original order. And a loss of contacting Vitacost support who always promised my order will ship soon. I just had to wait a little more.

SOLUTION:
Because I could not wait longer, I ordered ALL the same products with iHerb, and the day later got a reply that the order was shipped. = the products I ordered by Vitacost are available in the market. There should be no reason to hold an order for +3 weeks and counting if the products are available.

Tip for consumers:
I have never experienced this in the past with Vitacost.
The support told me they have some days of delays. But almost 4 weeks is extreme of delay for products that are available by competitors as I had to buy the same by iHerb and got it shipped the day after order.
It looks like Vitacost has serious problems.

nothing has been shipped yet from Vitacost warehouse. It still needs to be loaded to the courier.
almost 4 weeks now Vitacost needs time just to load the product to the courier.

I rarely shop at Vitacost because they require minimum about $49 in shipping and their customer service is really rude and incompetent so I dont shop often!

Anyway, I placed few orders on the same day and then about 5-6 hours later, I get an email "order cancelled, unable to verify billing info" I only got an email about one order and then I check online, they had cancelled one order and the one that I got an email about being cancelled was apparently in the processing stage online and third one was well in processing stage! Very conflicting info,

I contact their customer service and ask them about the status of all three orders, rep named "Sean" comes backs and confirms 2 of the three orders have been "cancelled due unable to verify billing info." Which is completely inaccurate as billing info is correct! And, I asked him to about the third one and ask to cancel that one too then if they already had cancelled the others and he goes "already picked and processed in the warehouse." I just disconnected the chat and didnt want to deal with these inefficient/rude customer service reps, and if they couldnt "verify my billing info" then why process the third order then and cancel two of them?

Then guess what, later on in the day, about additional 5 hours, later they cancelled the third order too, the one that was already processed and picked! And, then additional 5-6 hours later, I get an email "order shipped" and guess what they shipped ONLY ONE item from all three CANCELLED ORDERS! What the hell? These people are compeletly moronic and incompetent because if they are "unable to verify" any info then why process one order and then cancel it later one and then still ship ONE ITEM! I will never ever shop from these idiots!

And, these people are just disgusting, incompetent and rude! Dont waste your time shopping their website and if you ever have an issue with your order, good luck getting help from incompetent/rude reps

Used to love Vitacost. Box was delivered filled w/MOLD. Unable to reach by phone because calls kept getting cut off. Gave up after 4th attempt. Got thru via chat and requested company rep CALL me. Refunded but Vitacost has yet to contact me as I have requested TWICE.
I placed a 2nd order, which 2 days later Vitacost emailed me that the box was damaged in transit. They sent out another replacement to me and although OnTrac (ONCRAC) shows delivered, NEVER received. Now Chat DOESN'T work either. What a shame because they have great products but massive mess-ups.

Call company after placing order and tell them what horrible reviews you've seen and tell them to make good on your purchase. They do actually have fabulous items for a decent price.
