Walgreens is the most convenient to my home and they usually have what I need. I did however find out recently that my prescriptions would be lower at a different pharmacy.
I spent hours, but could not get a small order through their website. Like CVS, there are many repetitive sign in requests, and repetitive requests to pick a store location. At the very end I was asked to provide "contact information" as if that hadn't already been done. Their system said it did not sell toilet paper or paper towels, which of course it does. It's possible that small food items in the store, like small bags of chips, are not on the website. At the end of the process it just got stuck in a loop and would not move forward. The App wasn't better than the web version for me. It was possibly worse. I will say, Walgreens has some good employees and other virtues. This review is for the website.
Always excellent, ships fast great prices, delivery to my door.

After 20 years with Walgreens pharmacy as a customer I am finally leaving... I am fed up with the poor customer service, very rude employees, the lack of customer service via telephone (as today, I have called 3 times and cannot get a live person). After 10 to 15 mins on hold, draining my phone battery, listening to stupid music only added to my reason for leaving. Called your Corporate number but it immediately hung up - no one to talk to.
I also examined my prescriptions for 2020 and found I paid out of pocket expenses (even with my Medicare Supplemental Plans) was almost $5,000.00; not to mention what Walgreens charged my insurance company for the residual (about $ 20K for last year).
Last week I had an issue with my prescription orders and had the pleasure (sic) of talking to Mr. Trung (whom was at the pharmacy today). He was confused, told me I had no more refills despite my doctor telling me different, and knowing I had one refill left. Mr. Trung stated he could (NOT) contact my doctor via their computer for a refill; despite this being done for the last 10 years automatically. Trung was very rude and at one point threatened to hang up on me because what he was telling me made no sense and I confronted him on past procedures. He also stated that Walgreens did not keep prior medical history for Prescriptions and had no record of a prior prescription. I offered Mr. Trung the prescription number but he was not interested in looking it up and refused to even listen to me. Mr. Trung is also a "float" type person going from Walgreens to Walgreens. In complaining the next day to other staff, they did not know what Trung was talking about. They said there was no issue contacting the doctor for a refill, and that they would speak to him.
This week, I attempted to pick up my medications but despite being told they were ready, they were not. I do not have a car and taking the bus is difficult due to my disabilities. Upon arriving at the pharmacy and waiting 20 minutes in a drive thru window, my meds were not ready. I returned another day and again waiting in the drive-up window but only one medication was ready, not the other so I left and said I would return when all were filled. I then waited a good 5 days despite the text message system to make sure this time they were correct.
Prior to borrowing a car today and driving across town I called the pharmacy to confirm all was ready. I was put on hold for 18 mins and during this time they would pickup the phone and immediately put it back on hold - this occurred 7 times. My phone battery drained down to 83% from a full charge just waiting. No one every really answered so I hung up after about 20 mins.
I borrow my neighbors car and drove there, there was no one in line (inside) and about 6 pharmacy techs. I complained about what occurred and the pharmacy tech (young Hispanic woman) did not really care. She said they are a volume store and busy in a rude tone of voice. I told her they could have at least answered and told me they were busy, not just constantly pickup the phone and put it right back on hold - totally ignoring me. In the end she told me I could just go to another pharmacy if I did not like it.
So, taking that note, I have decided to move my prescription service to another pharmacy that is not affiliated with Walgreens. I am sure another pharmacy will be happy to have my business. I wanted to explain this on the phone... but as always, could not get anyone on the phone, just on hold music. And please do not blame Covid for this issue.
Finally, I requested my medical information from your staff so I can bring it to your competitor pharmacy. Well low and behold not only did I get my information, but the very rude pharmacy staff, whom was such a pleasure to talk to (not)... decided to also give my other customers information documents. Again, your employees do not pay attention, do not care, and are rude. I contacted the other person(s) and advised them that Walgreens Staff violated HIppa and confidentially laws. I told them I had their personal information, address, phone, and a medical record, and told them they need to speak with Walgreens staff if they are concerned about their privacy. I also am shredding the information as it has no bearing on me. I would not appreciate my personal medical records being given to someone else.
The Walgreens having so many issues, being rude, and not paying attention is the Store number ******* (I believe) on Monument Blvd, Concord, Calif. *******. I will also be passing this information onto the State of California as they need to inspect this facility for violating HIppa laws and basically not paying attention.
Just a nightmare each and every time...
