Walgreens has a rating of 2.1 stars from 773 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Walgreens most frequently mention customer service, next day, and store manager problems. Walgreens ranks 3rd among Pharmacy sites.
When im in a hurry I can place an online order and its ready within 30 minutes. Most locations have the drive up area and wait time varies. Thing may cost a little more but there is never a hassle getting to items or in stock or in check out.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. Last month I submitted a new script & told it was early. They'd remind me when it could be filled. For weeks I keep getting reminders saying I have a prescription that needs a refill. They probably discarded the early prescription. Another prescription was out of stock without giving me a hint when it would be restocked. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAD HAPPENED. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing.
The Walgreens in Placerville California is the most unorganized pharmacy I have ever done business with! Every time I have tried to get a prescription or immunization there the staff is unorganized and most times unhelpful. There is never enough staff to help customers and they are unfamiliar with the stock in the store. I will definitely not be back!

This covid pandimic had show not only how they don't care about their customers but also their employees. Forget about pride, you can barely maintain self dignity working for this company. I personally think they have a law suit comming for them, again.

Rite Aid pharmacy does not fill your Rx till you show up to pick it up no matter how many days before you call it in. The estimate on their voicemail has no truth to it.
They do not answer the phone and the only way to reach them is call the main store and insist they send someone on foot (they don't answer in store calls either) to get them to call you.
They shorted me on pills on 2 different occasions and when I put it on next-door several others said they were shorted more than once too. They charged me $74.00 for 10 pills(the amount they shorted me). To tide me over till the insurance would pay again.
I had to go all the way to the vice president of pharmacy to get my money refunded.

I scheduled a booster Covid-19 dose for my elderly mother and took her to receive it. We were turned away as they demanded a photo ID of her, which she didn't cary on her at that time (she doesn't drive and is completely dependent on me for all her needs). When the appointment was scheduled, an ID was not among requested items to bring to the appointment (checked again and again). My younger son was vaccinated 1 week prior to that at another Walgreen location and no ID was asked of me or him. A friend was vaccinated at a Walgreens in another state and he wasn't asked for any ID, just the vaccination record, which we had and showed them!
Come on Walgreens! We are encouraging the nation to get vaccinated and you're turning away people for no apparent reason other than your employees attitude arbitrarily demanding an ID with no explanation as to why. This is yet another issue I had with Walgreens. I now truly hate going ther.
Tip for consumers:
Walgreens is a far cry from what it used to be years ago. Service has gone down steadily.

Like others was leery about ordering from Vision Direct because of reviews but had to say experience was great! My order (filled correctly) was delivered in 9 business days which is reasonable when coming from another country). In the past when I order tmy lenses from the optometrist and still take 5 plus business days to come in.\
The biggest difference was the price - a 12 month supply of lenses from Visin Direct was less than 1/2 the cost of a 6 month supply from optometrist.
And, when I e-mailed them with a question I had a response in less than 2 hours.
My expectations were reasonable and service good - will definitely use them again!

They have a wide variety. I go there when I need a bunch of different things and I'm trying to avoid shipping charges on 3 different sites. You can also get stuff from Beauty.com which makes for even more variety. They are 2 sites, but you have 1 cart and it works fairly seamlessly. Once in a while I've needed to email them to make sure I don't get over charged on shipping, but they've always worked things out satisfactorily. They also have free shipping on orders over $35.00. I apreciate that they also have a lot of reviews and I really read them before I buy. I recommend them.

Due to poor service and common meds not being readily available we transfered all prescriptions to a pharmacy other than Walgreens. Upon refilling a prescription at the new pharmacy it was over $100 less expensive than it has been at Walgreens. Same med, same manufacturer, same dosage, same quanity, same insurance, same everything but at a much lower cost.

The first pair I ordered came on time and was very good. I ordered a second pair and it's been three weeks that they have not delivered. They have been contacting the lab supposedly and I have been trying to cancel the order without much success. The misleading thing here is that when I visit my account, the message says " Shipment #1 - We're preparing your order for shipment'. Which is a lie. There should be a punishment for companies that lie to their customers. For update, a few minutes after I posted this review, I got a message from VisionDirect that my order is now ready. Let's see...

Have been trying to find a pharmacy that wouldn't scam me or send me bad meds. This is the place to buy if you do not have a prescription and probably pretty good if you do. You can trust the meds and the reliability of the shipping in the time frame that they mention

Walgreens, in Pittsburgh, PA, had booked for me a Covid test, and I knew that the tests were carried out at a drive-through. As I suffer from epilepsy, I am not allowed to drive a car, so I went on my bike. The people on the window refused the test, and told me that the only way to get tested was to (as they said) 'rent an UBer'. Fine, but they say they will not pay for it, so disabled people like me are made to pay extra, which is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use if you are disabled - they charge you extra!

I have MS and am not always able to rum to pick up things I need for myself. Walgreen's on line pharmacies have always kept up with my medical needs. Some of my meds need to be handled with special care and they always go far and beyond to make sure my meds not only get to me on time but in the best of shape. Always feel safe dealing with Walgreenpharmacy.com

I've only used Drugstore.com once, but had a good experience with them--found item I needed (couldn't find it locally). Ordered it and received it on time. The quality of the items I ordered was very good and a good value--everything was as described.

The Walgreens in Pueblo on HWY 50
I have a prescription that I called in on 3/2/22, it was to be filled on the 3/3/22 by 10:30. Went to pick it up at 4:30. I was told that they were behind a it would be ready the next day by 10: 30.So I arrived at 1:20 the next day, again I was told that the prescription was not ready. They are running behind.
This is very poor customer service
I was out of my prescription from the night before. I need to take them
I'm a senior citizen and need my meds to live a full life.

Twice now, I have ordered organic baby food to be sent to my grandson in Key West, and once it was shipped to me, costing me $12.35 to ship to Key West, and now I've just ordered more and was certain to choose the Key West address both on Drugstore.com and Paypal. It still came up as coming to Boston. So I called a customer service rep, and she said it's beause I used Paypal. I asked if she could guarantee that it will go to Key West, she could not. I asked to cancel order and she said no. So the product is good, buy one get one free, the shipping which is supposed to be free is lost on me having to send it from Boston to Key West, not to mention the loss of time.

The website for the Walgreens location gives the pharmacy hours as open until 9 pm Monday thru Friday. I called in a prescription on Wednesday and was told I could pick it up on Friday after 11 am. I drove to the store and got there at 7: o5 pm. A paper sign on the window said the pharmacy was closed after7 pm on Monday thru Friday. Had they shared the information when I called in the prescription, I would not have been without my much needed daily medication for my severe sleep apnea. I have been on this medication since 2008 and skipping it means I get absolutely no sleep, ruining the next day. I will not buy anything else at a Walgreens so as not to increase their profits. Kt

I went to my neighborhood Walgreens Pharmacy to fill a prescription. The cashier took the prescription and told me I had to wait for validation from my insurance company, the pharmacist never called my insurance company. Thinking the cost was high I called my insurance and they had not record of Walgreens validating my prescription. My insurance pays 75% and I pay 25%! They used some online company without my permission. I was paying 50%. I called CareFirst and found this out, pharmacist only said he did not know what went on?

Ordered coffee on Nov 30th. It was delivered on Dec 9th, and glass jars arrived broken in the box. Called Walgreens' customer service and they offered me either a refund Or a "courtesy" order, which basically means that they send it again, and I have to wait again 10 days (or more) for my coffee (a total of about 3 weeks since I first ordered it). It's not courtesy! I paid for 2 jars of coffee! It's not MY fault Walgreens couldn't deliver it in one piece! Why do their customer service representatives think it's ok not to give customers any compensation when they are not able to deliver their products as promised? Why shouldn't I, as a customer, be compensated for having to wait for another delivery, just because they don't know how to pack fragile items properly?

I called at 11:10 pm on 1/13/2021 trying to speak to someone at the pharmacy and I was on hold for 15 min the first time and then someone at the pharmacy didn't even answer me; they just hung up on me. I called again right away and was on hold for 10 min and then someone hung up on me again. I called again and was on hold and got hung up on again. This went on for 45 min. The person at the Walgreens pharmacy at the cathedral city Walgreens off of Dinah shore and date Palm were very inconsiderate because they kept hanging up on me. Very rude! Not happy with this store. Will have to go elsewhere from now on. Very disappointing. Someone needs to speak to the technician that was working this day and time and inform him/her that he/she can't waste people's time like that and hang up on them. They should answer the phone and atleast ask the person on the line to wait on hold. They should not keep hanging up on people.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t go to Walgreens in cathedral city off of Dinah shore and date palm. They kept hanging up on me!! Very rude!!

I ordered lenses for three of the four people in the house. One set of lenses was supposedly backordered. When I contacted c. S. I asked if they could ship the rest of the order. They said it would ship in the next few days and would also credit the expedited shipping fee. When the order did not ship in the next few days, I again contacted c. S and they said they would have the lenses the next day, would ship them overnight for free and I would have them. They did ship them late the next day but shipped them Fed ex 3 day which actually took 5 because of a weekend. In short, it took 16 days from order to receiving. I ordered another set of lenses one day after the first order and with standard shipping it only took 5 days total. At every contact with c. S. they assured me that the lenses were available and shipping the next day. I was lied to repeatedly and if I would have known it would have taken over 2 weeks, I would have cancelled my order and taken my business elsewhere.

I have been a customer at the local Walgreen's in Belleview, Florida for over 16 years. Last night, I bought a pack of cigarettes and some Nyquil and a few other items. I provided my driver's license as always to purchase the cigarettes and the cashier insisted that my minor child also provide her ID which of course she did not have. Is this a new policy? My child did not purchase anything and was not a customer. I have endured being asked for my ID to purchase cigarettes even though I am 67 years old. I have endured the embarrassment of hearing the cashier blurt out "Welcome to Walgreens" when customers enter the store. Publix got it right. Walgreens missed it by a mile. I have endured the endless requests to donate money in order to check out, but requiring my minor children to provide their ID when they are not even a customer qualifies as the last straw. This tells me not to bring my children with me when shopping at Walgreens. There are several other stores nearby that would welcome my business
