STAY AWAY FROM WORLDREMIT
I am trying to get my money back after an unsuccessful transaction for more than 5-6 months. They always come up with lame excuses, they take your personal informations and promise to refund in couple days but they never will. Instead, they come up with another excuse and then another one and another... you get the point.
If the transaction failed, you will never ever get a refund. I lost hundreds of dollars with worldremit.

Well, I had sent money to the philippines and they did not accept my payment and cancelled my transaction bcoz i was using a different card. Not on my name. So i had to email them, live chat and call them about it. So everybody say i will get my money in 2-3 working days but i didn't! Luckily had spoken to a very nice guy in world remit, and if not bcoz of him I wouldn't get my money soon! :) he was the one who emailed the finance team to refund my money. And after that within 3days i got my money back. :) i am so thankful! I hope he can help those other people too who has problems of refunding their money! Sorry i forgot to asked his name! But it could be travis! From UK it was i called. :) goodluck guys! Be nice and patient to the customer service! :)
I did transaction on 15/07/2020 and today is 06/08/2020 neither made transfer nor refund. Chased them couple of times by email, calls, chat but so far no response. Dont use them anymore
WorldRemit never transferred my money. Customer service keeps asking me the same questions, no help at all. Better use your bank for safe transfer, no matter how expensive it is!
Lost all failth in this company, I asked my son to send me money from his account with money drawn from my account. To cut a long story short the transaction did not go through althought the money had already been sent to World remit. Transaction took place on the 14th of December. Their refund mentioned 2-3 days on the text message send. Its now 23rd of December no sign of the money. I am now being told it can take up to 15day because its a manual process. I am stranded this was money meant for Christmas and now my family will go without because of poor service from world remit. 3200 dollars I cant come up with such a big amount in a short time. Very disappointed I would think twice before using this company again.
I was out of country for 3 months now its impossible to login and send money to my very hungry family in Mozambique. I tried all the ways but dont succeed. My number is **************

Transaction number: *******. Please do not trust this company, they will hold your funds and never reimburse you. I have corresponded them innumerable times regarding my refund as they did not transfer the funds to the recipient. To my utter dismay, they are disregarding my emails and they purposely keep terminating the line connection when enquiring about the refund over the phone or come up with utterly absurd excuses as to how their local partners are holding the funds and technical issues are affecting the refund process. Absolutely atrocious!. They claim that they refund will be processed within 7 working days, however I have been hearing different time frames from various customer representative, they are evidently lying as they do not intend to refund the money. If you are in the same situation as me then please take immediate action, I'm just about to report this to the action fraud police and my bank. There is no other way to get this resolved. I urge you to not use this transfer service, it's a scam.
They are a risky money transfer service. For me their reliability ranks "0" as in ZERO! Do not leave your debit or credit card details on their service site, i. E., your account with them.
I got scammed by a seller from Nigeria and I contacted police and then worldremit only to be told it will be a very lengthy process to get my money back and they were trying to recover my money through a 3rd party debt collector but they would keep me updated and the very next day I received a email from worldremit saying that my custom doesn't meet their criteria and closed my account down now I have no chance of getting my money back.

How I wish their communication specially Telephone communication could compare to their effective Money transfer?
THEY WITHDREW THE MONEY FROM MY CHECKING ACCOUNT AND THEN PROMPTLY DISABLED THE ACCOUNT!
For my first experience with WorldRemit, I am left with a very poor opinion of this company and services. This was much worse than most other online transactions I have encountered.
After I sent the money, I got a message that said: "Account disabled," which is severely vague. This error message only serves to SCARE people and make them look like ONLINE FRAUD!
This seems to be a fraudulent service and I will be seeking remedy. This merely wasted my time during an emergency.
If there is a means, I wouldn't even give any star at all. Been skeptical to use this so called worldremit app due to other people's ugly experiences. I have been using a particular app for all my conversions for a long time. I do transaction with my eyes closed; never worried about my money or the time frame to receive the money. Finally I decided to try this app after 3 years because their rate was a bit better. A lesson i learned never to settle for less. I rather pay more to get quality.
After initiating the transaction and verified via my bank, I was debited but the transfer process got stuck and couldn't complete. This process kept loading for several hours until I decided to cancel the transaction.
After cancellation, I had waited for a couple of hours too for the reversal but guess what, only for me to contact these guys and they said refund would take 7 working days. The agent who responded to me by the name Snethemba was even cold with their response, rude and politely arrogant. Didnt care about my worry and just stuck on the respnse they have been asked to give to customers with such issues. Meanwhile this payment was meant for an urgent need.
If you ever worked for your money, dont use this app because they will mess you up. This same experience was shared by another friend who used the app.
They will first charge your card and then disable your account and demand some additional information. I advise you to not do business with them. Stay safe!
They've wasted about a day of my time. I keep asking them a question not covered by their frequently asked questions. They keep copy and pasting an answer from their FAQ. Very frustrating.
Was a good service but the last two months they are not at all good. I have sent money to my wife for years now but suddenly my account is locked and they want to know when I met her, who introduced us etc. AVOID WORLDREMIT
I tried to send a payment to the lady watching my house. Initially it looked OK then WorldRemit canceled my account and payment. No refund as yet. Western Union had it done in seconds so use them.
Blocked my account, no reason given. Can not send to my partner. Referral credit not paid out. Hundreds of transfers on western union this never happened.
In my case, the receiver did not pick up the money at the destination, and WorldRemit then refunds the money back to the sender's account. WorldRemit sent me an email saying that the refund was put back into my bank account, using WorldRemit's Interac service called beanstream. When the money did not show up in my bank account, I sent WorldRemit a copy of my bank statement, showing that the refund was not in my bank account. After many phone calls and emails, and lengthy delays, WorldRemit was finally able to track what happened to my refund through beanstream, and the money was deposited again to my account. The customer service representatives at WorldRemit were always polite when talking to them on the phone.
Scammers! Do not use their service. They false advertise processing transactions within minutes buy they are very incompetent! M y first time using World Remit and the worst experience ever. I usually use Wise and Revolut and this time I decided to use World Remit so send money to a family member in Nigeria who needed the funds for an urgent medical procedure. It is advertised as a service that sends money within minutes but 5 days later the money still has not arrived to the person's account. The status shows it as in progress and when I called several time s to ask what is causing the delay they could only tel me it's a technical delay. No other details. And when I just to cancel the request and have my money back they tell me this still has to go for approval then I have to wait another 7 working days if it gets approved for my money to come back. Im so ****ed off and livid and I will continue to spread the word to others to avoid using World Remit. As Im writing this my money is still stuck with them!
It is extremely difficult to get a hold of them.The system will transfer the call to a recording music, which will make you wait for hours! Then, in the middle of the talking or conversation, the line cuts up or the line hungs up! Then you call again and again wait...
They admitted to refund my money and asked me to wait 7 businesss days. After 7 days I see nothing and call them again. They ask me to contact my bank. I did, bank ensured definitely world remit didn't refund anything.
Then I call again them, this time they admitted their refund failed after seversl calls and waiting for many hours on the line.
10 days later they say they refunded successfully and again wait for 7 days. Passed 7 days... nothing happened.
Answer: Have they refund your money? Am still waiting for my money to be refund since two weeks now.
